About the Game
Armed with advanced screening tools and your own instincts, you must decide who gets through and who stays behind. One wrong choice could let the infection slip past your post.
But holding the line is only the beginning. You’ll need to manage scarce resources, reinforce defenses, and keep your camp alive as chaos intensifies with each passing day.
SEE IT? SORT IT
Use high-tech tools to uncover signs of infection among the terrified survivors. Identify contraband, forbidden items, and even rare collectables as you work to keep your checkpoint secure. Send those with suspicious symptoms to quarantine for observation, to the lab for additional screening, or save healthy survivors by sending them to the living block. And those who show to be infected… well, they don't stand a chance anyway.COMMAND THE CATASTROPHE
As the survivor population swells, you’ll be relied upon to provide essentials such as power, food, and medicine. When the alarms are raised, pilot armed drones to ensure the infected don’t breach the compound. The better you manage your ever-expanding base, the more resources, tools, and weapon upgrades you’ll unlock.LEARN. ADAPT. SURVIVE.
When a quarantined survivor becomes an undead predator, all is not lost! Keep newly turned zombies confined to harvest and prepare samples in return for new tools, staff XP, and long-term upgrades. Individuals with unknown symptoms can also be analyzed, but these tests are always fatal to the subject. Will you choose to preserve life? Or will you pursue knowledge at any cost?Screenshots

Official update history
Greetings, everyone!
Zombie apocalypse can be rather crazy at times, so we’ve partnered with Dambuster Studios to add characters from Dead Island 2 to Quarantine Zone. There is nothing like throwing a little chaos into the mix.
Please welcome Amanda Styles, Curtis Sinclair, Roxanne Kwon, Burt Michaels, and Rikky Rex to the checkpoint!
Each of these new survivors comes with a quest connected to their backstory for you to explore. There is more - we’ve also added over a dozen new custom survivors with different quirks about them for you to screen when they try to get through.
Update is available NOW!
Note: The update is available on new saves in Endless Mode within the first week of the playthrough & starting on Day 20 in existing Campaign Mode saves
Quarantine Zone is going green for St. Patrick's Day!
From March 17th to March 24th, the checkpoint has been decked out with themed decorations—from beer cans and flags to green neon lamps and wall tapestries.
Like the Valentine's Event, this one can be toggled on or off via a checkbox in settings or the menu.
[p align="start"][p align="start"]
Changelog:
Scene updates with themed decorations (flags at the checkpoint, beer cans, signs at the checkpoint and on the table in the personal block)
New themed baggage that spawns randomly (beer, cookie jar, glasses)
New internal contraband – cookies (small chance, easiest to spot in Endless mode)
New pistol charm – skin from the good ending
New green skins for scientists and Georgie
Added more decorations: wall tapestries and green neon lamps (please check that performance is unaffected)
Added 2 cameo characters:
Hanryang – Day 22
Disowskyy – Day 23
Hello, everyone!
Here's another patch for Quarantine Zone. We are trying a slightly different structure to the notes, which should improve the readability. Tell us what you think in the comments.
The team is already in full-scale work for the first major update to the game, which we can't wait to show you and what we have in store for the immediate future of Quarantine Zone. In the meantime, we'll continue working on fixes for the game, albeit at a somewhat slower pace. Without further ado, the patchnotes:
Fixes:
Opening the Tablet immediately after using the Matioscope no longer causes a softlock
Opening the pause menu a few times during the first cutscene caused the playable character to become unable to move
On Day 8, players were able to send the first survivor to the living block before the tutorial started, which prevented further progression
The quarantine area cannot be cleared until the tutorial from the "Hi, doggy" bulletin board task is finished
The paint stains on the vandal's clothes do not appear if the flashlight is turned on prior to the playable character entering the Survivor's Block during the "Ask your mom" bulletin board task
The final dialogue in the quest "Hi, doggy", in certain cases, used to be unskippable
Text during dialogue skipping remained on the screen for too long compared to the time it takes for the character to finish speaking their line
Detector previously wasn’t correctly notifying players when any of the survivors possessed either drugs or weapons
Mathiascope-related symptoms did not appear in survivors sent to quarantine when they should have
The bulletin board tutorial previously incorrectly stated that there are Major and George tasks, but George's tasks are no longer included in the title
Dans Gaming cameo no longer spawns as early as Day 10, preventing the player from encountering symptoms that have not yet been discovered
Survivors no longer perform the backpack removal animation without wearing a backpack if the animation was interrupted
The survivor's backpacks no longer have an invisible collision wall, which used to make them bulletproof
Soldiers from the Security Tower are no longer standing in an A-pose
Getting up from the crouching position while standing on the lab's bed no longer causes the playable character to be unable to move
Double-clicking the generator's power button no longer turns it off without providing any indication of its status
"Interacting with the cart while looking at it previously caused several issues:
The body bag is inside -> the Player cannot exit the cart while looking at it.
The cart is empty -> when the Player enters the cart, exits, and re-enters while constantly looking at it, they will not be able to jump anymore."
Performance - Walking into the Soldier collectable in the Garage area causes significant framerate drops
Changelog:
Updated physics for extracted organs in the science lab
Optimised lighting in the quarantine

Hello!
Earlier this week, we opened an open beta branch to test if our solution for the FOV bug is working properly for the players:
[dynamiclink href="https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3419520/view/517487250982832443"]
We've received enough feedback to confirm that the fix is working, and this change is now included in the main branch of the game.
There will be another patch later before the end of the week with more fixes based on players' reports and feedback.
Thank you for your continued support!

Hello, everyone!
This past month was a blast for us, and we’d like to thank you, the players, as we would not have reached this point without your support, your wishlists, and playing the demo first and the release second. You are the best!
As the song by John Paul Young goes - Love is in the air, we’d like to celebrate both the one month since the release of our game, and the upcoming St.Valentines day.
And by combining the two events, we share our love for the game we’ve been working on for over a year and our appreciation for the community, by including small bits and pieces that reference the Valentine’s Day holiday. They will be temporarily available in the game for the next two weeks STARTING ON FEBRUARY 14TH. But even after the event has finished, you can turn the decorations on again using Settings -> Gameplay, like the New Year decorations. And that is not all - we’ve added a small, extra bit of content, which you hopefully will find enjoyable, if you find the new inhabitant of the checkpoint - take a screenshot and tell us what you think by tagging us on X/Twitter or BlueSky.
We are already starting preliminary work on the first big content update, but can’t share all the details just yet. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks. We’ll share more as soon as we can!
Thank you again for staying with us, sharing your feedback and thoughts on the game!
EDIT: Many apologies for the inconvenience with incorrect starting date. It's an issue on our side.
