About the Game
Solarpunk is a survival game in a technically advanced world of floating islands. Alone or together with your friends, you can construct buildings, grow food, craft gadgets and explore distant islands with your own airship.
Use sunlight, wind and water to create an energy system and automate your processes like gathering resources and watering your plants.
🏠 Build freely
Design your dream home base with a wide range of materials and decorations. You’re free to build cozy spaces, add tiny details, and make your island feel just like home.
These buildings were crafted by our amazing community in the demo!
⚡ Energy system
Generate electricity using wind and solar energy. Weather conditions affect how much energy you produce, so you’ll need to plan ahead. Store energy in batteries and use wireless power to keep your base running smoothly.
👥 Multiplayer
Play solo or with friends. Everyone has their own inventory, and you can decide whether to build something together or create your own little corner in the sky.
🐷 Animals & Farming
In Solarpunk, you live in symbiosis with animals. There is no exploitation, only coexistence. Pigs, for example, will dig up truffles if treated well. Growing fruits and vegetables is your main source of food. Plant seeds in the ground and harvest them once they’re fully grown.
🤖 Automation
Automate your tasks using transport drones to gather resources, giving you more time to build and explore your skybound home.
✈️ Airship
Each player can build their own airship. Use it to travel to surrounding islands and discover new resources.

Hey Solarpunk Community 👋,
it is finally happening. After more than four years of development, Solarpunk is now released. Writing this still feels unreal.
This journey has been wild, exhausting, beautiful, stressful, and sometimes honestly terrifying. There were moments where we were close to the end. Moments where burnout felt very real. Moments where we were not sure if we could actually finish this game.
But there were also so many good moments. From the very beginning, this community supported us, encouraged us, gave us feedback, shared the game, wishlisted it, talked about it, and helped us believe that Solarpunk could become something special.
Solarpunk was mainly developed by two people over the last four years. It is a personal, peaceful survival craft game made with a lot of love, a lot of work, and sometimes probably too much coffee. We hope you enjoy it for what it is.

Since so many people are discovering Solarpunk right now, we want to make sure you know what kind of game this is before jumping in.
Solarpunk is a calm, cozy survival craft game. It is about building, farming, exploring floating islands, using renewable energy, automating parts of your island life, decorating your home, and playing at your own pace. It is not a combat focused game. It is not designed to be stressful. It is not trying to overwhelm you

The core loop is about gathering, crafting, farming, upgrading, and expanding.
Want to play alone or relaxed with friends
Solarpunk is made for solo play and small group cooperative play.
Enjoy handcrafted islands and light exploration
The world is handcrafted, not randomly generated. Exploration supports the sandbox and is intentionally light for a relaxing experience.
Like sandbox goals after the main progression
After around 20 hours, most of the main content is explored and the game then switches the focus to your home base, farm, decoration, and personal goals.
Appreciate indie games
Solarpunk is made by a very small core team and is designed as a focused, cozy experience.

There is no PvP, PvE, no raids, no base attacks, and no competitive survival gameplay.
Want a story driven game
Solarpunk has no story campaign and no narrative quest progression.
Expect a huge open world with endless exploration
The game has a limited set of handcrafted islands and two biomes, but is not built around endless world discovery.[p align="start"][p align="start"]Want hundreds of hours before reaching the sandbox
The main progression can be completed in around 20 hours. However, many players still spend dozens of hours building their home base.
Want dedicated multiplayer servers or crossplay
There are no public servers. One player hosts the game. There is no crossplay atm.
Expect combat, deep character creation, or AAA scale systems The character editor is simple, and the game is not trying to match large studio survival games in scope.
