- Ok, so the last patch made Roguelike Endless mode a bit too endless. So in this patch I tried to find a middle ground between the wall that existed in 1.6.1 and then linear scaling in 1.6.2. Let me know if this feels better. My goal is for the game to end at some point but for you to be able to push against the game to compete with each other to find a true world record sort of run.
- Added a % of the level indicator to the game over screen so you can see how far you got.
- Update the record for Roguelike mode to now show the level you achieved and the percent through that level. For example 12.56 would mean I beat level 12 and got 54% of the way to level 13. My goal here is to support showing off your best runs with each other.
Adjusted Endless mode scaling for Roguelike Mode to remove the hard wall at 31. I mostly want to see how far you all can push in endless mode.
Added controller support for the new Roguelike Mode upgrade screen
Fixed a controller bug where the game mode selector would lose focus when changing game modes
Added a thank you section to the credit for those who helped with translating our game
- Lowered the matter needed to grow the black hole at level 20 by about 10%
- Significantly reduced the endless mode levels for the first 10 levels and then a more aggressive scaling will kick in after 30.
- Electric Moons Mode: Increased the "Chance to Spawn New Planet when a Planet Destroyed" upgrade to to be +50%. This will now make it so there's a 100% to spawn a planet and hopefully should fix the issue where some players could not beat the game mode on max upgrades.
Throughout the day we've been pushing out mini hotfix patches to fix any small bugs that you all have reported. In the coming days we plan to start adding some quality of life requests as well as the new game modes.
Summary of Changes:
Added a setting to turn off the particles that flow into the Black Hole (for accessibility, but this might also give you a boost to performance)
Fixed a bug where the Main Volume slider was not working
Fixed a bug where some of the sound effects were not being impacted by the effect slider
Updated some of the achievements descriptions to match how you can actually unlock them
Update transitions based on player feedback
Fixed a bug where the debug panel would show for Mac builds on the Upgrade screen
Updated steam settings to show that our game does support modern Mac OSs
Probably a bunch of other minor bugs?
Removed speedrunning achievements based upon feedback from the community
