Take on increasingly difficult heroes who draft, summon, and play cards just like you.
Outbuild them, outplay them, and fight your way to victory!
Draft your deck one shop visit at a time. Open packs, upgrade cards, recruit minions, and uncover artifacts. Spend wisely. The fate of your run is built one choice at a time.
Win fights to earn blessings that improve future shops, turning each victory into better choices, bigger rewards, and new ways to shape your deck.
Each run begins with a pairing: choose a hero, then choose a companion. Your hero has a unique power, and your companion unlocks your second elemental card pool.
Your pairing decides what kind of run you are building. Draft around your strengths, cover your weaknesses, and discover endless combinations.

Official update history
If you have different saves on multiple devices, we recommend backing them up before launching the game again. Steam may synchronize automatically without prompting, and progress from separate saves can't be merged.
To back up your saves, close Backdraft and fully exit Steam, then open the appropriate folder:
- Windows: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\LegacyLabs\Backdraft
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/com.LegacyLabs.Backdraft
Copy that entire folder somewhere safe, such as your Desktop.
If you can't find your saves, need help on Steam Deck, or encounter any synchronization issues, please reply here, the steam forums, or visit our support page: https://backdraft.gg/support
- Added a "Fast Combat" option in Settings to shorten pauses during bot turns and between minion attacks.
- Added a "Pack Speed" option with Normal, Fast, or Instant card reveals.
- Fixed a bug where achievements were failing to show up on Steam. Previously earned achievements will sync when you launch the game.
- Renamed the pack "Skip" button to "Skip cards" and enabled it only once the cards have been revealed.
- Adjusted victory voice timing to avoid overlapping the fanfare.
