About the Game
Chivalry 2 is a multiplayer first person slasher inspired by epic medieval movie battles. Players are thrust into the action of every iconic moment of the era - from clashing swords, to storms of flaming arrows, to sprawling castle sieges and more.
Dominate massive, 64-player battlefields. Catapults tear the earth apart as you lay siege to castles, set fire to villages and slaughter filthy peasants in the return of Team Objective maps.
A fully featured mounted combat system makes you feel like you are fighting atop a thousand pound beast of war, including the ability to trample your foes, land devastating front or rear horse kicks, unhorse your opponent with a lance and engage in deep melee combat with grounded or mounted opponents.
Rise to glory and expand your arsenal with a new subclass system that provides more variety than ever before. Four base classes expand to 10+ subclasses and over 30 unique weapons, each with multiple visual variants. New support items ranging from oil pots to barricades, supply crates and archer’s stakes add even more tactical options to the battlefield.
Charge to battle alongside your friends with all-platform Crossplay and claim glory by your blade!

Dev Notes:
We’ve loved hearing all the reception and feedback towards Trayan Citadel! We’re so glad our community has been enjoying the spectacle of the new map.
Although we love that Argon's final push to avenge his father was reflected in this difficulty for attackers, after monitoring matches and feedback since the release, we believe Argon and his troops need a little assistance, particularly in the later half of the map. Do not worry, defenders, as plenty of opportunities remain to hold back the Agathians and protect Malric from these unjust invaders.

Due to the nature of this Hotfix, PC Players will experience a larger-than-average download size when prompted to re-download the game for proper Hotfix installation.
In addition to today's Hotfix notes, we've released a new blog about the future of Chivalry 2.
Good morrow, knights! A minor hotfix (2.10.2) has been released with new anti-cheat protections.
General
- Updated anti-cheat security on all platforms.
As our 2.10.1 Hotfix notes mentioned, our team has been working hard on this next stage of anti-cheat protection for Chivalry 2. This security update will help stop users who have been bypassing our anti-cheat protections and add further tools our moderation team can use to address cheaters and their multiple accounts.
We believe this security update will help curb the use of cheats within Chivalry 2, although we know there may still be outliers that bypass even the new protection. Not to worry; our staff and moderation team will be on hand working hard to address any future tickets and reports regarding cheaters.
If you believe you have encountered a user in-game who may be cheating, here are some steps to report them.
How to report a suspected cheater:
In-Game Reporting:
- Open the in-game scoreboard.
- Xbox Button: Menu Button > Scoreboard
- PS Button: Start Button > Scoreboard
- PC Key: TAB
- Xbox Button: Menu Button > Scoreboard
- Navigate the scoreboard till you find the offending user.
- Select the user and use the "Report" option.
ChivMail Reporting:
- To Access the ChivMail bot you'll need to join our Official Discord.
- ChivMail can be found on the top right of the User List once you've entered the Discord.
- ChivMail can be found on the top right of the User List once you've entered the Discord.
- Use either a screen capping software or an HD mobile device to capture video of the suspected user.
- Attach this video in a message to the ChivMail Bot on Discord in addition to the suspected user's in-game username.
- Videos should be around 30 seconds long and clearly show the suspected user using in-game cheats if possible. (If the video is too large for Discord, it can be uploaded unlisted onto a streaming platform like Youtube)

- This will start a ticket on the topic that our moderators can respond to if additional information is needed.
- Additional Step for EGS / Steam Users - Acquire the user's PlayerID:
- Open the console by pressing ( ~ ) or ( NUMPAD - ) (If your console does not open, you may have to "Enable developer console" in GAME SETTINGS) (Rebindable in the setting if necessary)
- Type the command "listplayers" and hit ENTER (This copies the player list to your clipboard)
- Open any Word processing application (Notepad, Microsoft Word, etc) and press CTRL + V to paste the player list.
- Find the offending player's name and ID # and include them in your ChivMail report. (For example - Username - 12AB34CD56EF78GH)

Patch Troubleshooting:
For any users receiving the "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed." Launch Error: please attempt to validate your game files.
Good morrow, knights! A minor hotfix (2.10.1) has been released with crucial bug fixes.
General
- Fixed a bug that caused a player to be disconnected from a server when spawning at particular points on the Duelyard map.
- Fixed a bug with the skill-based team balance feature that did not correctly allocate players between attack and defense.
- Fixed a bug that prevented some players from being banned correctly from Unofficial Servers.
Now that the skill-based team balancing feature has been fixed, it will also be re-enabled for all platforms once this Hotfix has gone live. Although this Hotfix was smaller, we wanted to address these more pressing bugs first while our team continues to work on fixes for our other known issues.
We have also contributed significant time towards further testing the next layer of anti-cheat we mentioned in our Community Blog.
While we test this next stage in the fight against cheaters, we will continue to act against those who bypass our protections to cheat within Chivalry, promote cheats, encourage the use of cheats to others, or break our Code of Conduct in any additional ways.
Good morrow knights! A minor hotfix (2.9.2) has been released with balance adjustments to The Reclamation of Montcrux, fixes to the Crossparty Beta system, as well as a handful of general bug fixes.

Customization
- Fixed an issue where character customization and settings would reset
The save data for character customization and settings were set to the incorrect file path, resulting in the failsafe to reset the player’s customization back to the default values. As a result of this fix, your customization may reset once more or return back to their previous customization seen before 2.9’s release. If players on PC wish to keep the customization and settings they made post 2.9’s release, the following workaround can be done:
- Make sure the game is closed
- In your file explorer, navigate to “Chivalry 2/TBL/Saved/Cloud”
- In a separate window, navigate to the location where your game is stored
- Navigate through %localappdata%/Chivalry 2/TBL/Saved/Cloud
- Backup the Cloud folder in your appdata directory
- Copy over the Cloud folder seen in your game directory to your appdata directory
- Start the game
- In your file explorer, navigate to “Chivalry 2/TBL/Saved/Cloud”
If done correctly, you should see your customization persist.

In addition, the developers look ahead and share the first details of what’s coming next for the ultimate medieval battlefield.
As discussed in the new developer diary, Torn Banner Studios set out on a mission to double the content scope of Chivalry 2 in a single year, and has officially achieved that goal. Since launch, the team has released numerous, free content updates, adding the new weapons-free Brawl Mode, new Team Objective and Deathmatch maps, and many new weapons, just to name a few. Most recently, they launched their biggest update yet - Tenosian Invasion - alongside the game’s release on Steam, bringing mounted combat, cavalry charges, a brand-new faction, and more to Chivalry 2.
Looking ahead, the developer diary outlines some of the exciting upcoming additions coming to Chivalry 2. These include the Hippodrome, a new tournament-styled map set in the Tenosian faction setting and designed with mounted horse combat in mind, a new Tenosian-inspired weapon called the Katar, a new winter-themed biome featuring snow and ice, and the long-awaited cross-play party social support, which has been highly requested from the community. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41614667/8a97f694852349c5a6df67293c6e38dac81f4cae.jpg
Last week we released a minor update patch to address some crash fixes, map balance concerns and general game fixes.
Map Balance Changes
In reviewing our map data and win/lose ratio data, we have noticed that The Razing of Askandir is slightly too difficult for defenders on some objectives, The Breach of Baudwyn is slightly too difficult for attackers on multiple objectives, and that The Raid of Aberfell is too difficult for attackers to progress effectively in the beginning two stages of the map.
The Razing of Askandir
- Stage 2: Decreased defenders spawn timer from 12 to 10 seconds
- Stage 3: Decreased objective timer from 5 to 4 minutes
The Breach of Baudwyn
- Stage 1: Increased objective timer from 7 to 8 minutes
- Stage 2:
- Increased defenders spawn timer from 11 to 12 seconds
- Lowered the HP of catapults from 1400 to 1200 HP
- Lowered the HP of ballistas from 700 to 600 HP
- Stage 3:
- Increased defenders spawn timer from 10 to 12 seconds
- Decreased attacker spawn timer from 10 to 8 seconds
- Stage 4: Lowered the time added at the beginning of the stage from 8 to 7 minutes
The Raid of Aberfell
- Stage 1: Raised the points given by carryable peasants and pigs so only 25 of them are needed to bring back to the boat instead of 30
- Stage 2: Increased defenders spawn timer from 12 to 15 seconds
Map Fixes
- Fixed an issue where Peasants would not appear during the final stage of Coxwell
- Fixed an issue where sitting on the throne in Rudhelm would cause the Mason heir to not spawn
- Fixed an issue where players would desync during the opening cinematic of The Razing of Askandir and fall into the water
Crash Fixes
- Fixed a crash that would occur when rapidly getting multiple achievements on Steam
- Fixed a server crash in relation to team placement
General Fixes
- Fixed an exploit with commends visually giving more XP than actually was awarded
- Fixed an exploit where players could fly when downed while on horseback
- Fixed an issue where feint attacks would occasionally desync for the Raider and Ambusher
- Fixed an issue where the bombards would cause players to be stuck in midair when knocked over
- Fixed an issue where the scarf of Tenosian light armour would be visible in first person perspective
- Fixed an issue with Steam Rich Presence not reliably updating
- Fixed an issue where players would spawn in a cavalry wave without a horse
- Fixed an issue where certain LTS maps’ scoreboards were showing the Tenosian faction instead of the map’s intended factions
- Adjusted charging attacks (such as the spear) collision to prevent players from getting stuck on other players
In addition to these patch notes we’re also tracking other issues/bugs that have cropped up post-launch, but here is what is being addressed in 2.5.1.
Map Balance Changes
After the Tenosian Invasion launch on all platforms we were able to make some observations about how our new Team Objective maps were playing out with the community at large.
For both maps we’ve made the beginning half of the maps easier for attackers to progress through, where previously defenders were holding the line too often. We anticipate that this will improve the overall balance of the map and improve the playing experience for both attackers and defenders.
The Razing of Askandir
Stage 1
- Petards now explode 20% faster after being placed, (now 16 seconds, previously 20 seconds)
Stage 5
- Fixed an issue where Mason torch pits would take longer to respawn torches than intended
The Breach of Baudwyn
Stage 2
- Reduced catapult health from 2000 HP to 1400 HP
- Reduced ballista health from 1000 HP to 700 HP
- Masons spawn one second slower (from 10 seconds to 11 seconds)
- Tenosians spawn one second faster (from 8 seconds to 7 seconds)
Stage 3
- Moved Mason spawners a few meters back
Crash Fixes
- Fixed top 3 of the most frequent crashes including:
- Crash when getting the fire arrows achievement
- Crash related to horse mounting
- Crash that occurred on map load
General Fixes
- Adjusted Beginner Mode player count up to the proper amount (from 22 to 40)
- Fixed an issue where Horse movement input keys could not be rebound in Options
- Fixed an issue where Masons could fall off their boats during Askandir’s opening cinematic
- Fixed an issue where player Masons were visible on boats during Askandir’s opening cinematic
- Fixed an issue where skin tones options for head customization went missing
- Fixed an issue where armour and helmet selections would change to what was equipped on previously selected classes
- Adjusted the “Akkadian Mail Shirt” textures to make the armour set more readable for team identification
