Official update history
Update 1.8.1 is a long overdue update that brings in many of the quality of life and maintenance changes from the Quest version of the game to Steam.
The main improvement under the hood is a better implementation of OpenXR support, which allowed us to consolidate support for different OpenXR runtimes into one build, meaning there is no longer a need for the two different launch options we had before.
Here's a full change log:
Updated OpenXR implementation to support all OpenXR runtimes, no longer requiring the secondary OpenVR launch option.
Added Italian, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, and Russian localization
Added 7 new songs to the soundtrack
Added a recenter button that allows you to quickly reposition the puzzle and menu back in front of you when you away from the puzzle
Added the option to launch the game directly in to the last puzzle you were playing
Update 1.6.0 adds an in-game local puzzle editor so you can unleash your inner puzzle designer. Just enable the editor in the settings, and get started making your own puzzles!
To solve this, I've had to implement OpenXR support in the game. If you're having issues, switch over to the "openxr" branch, update the game, after which it should work again.
- Puzzles can be snapped back onto the podium
- Custom puzzles now support the simplified v2 format (see github.com/cubismvr/mods)
- Fixed an issue where thrown pieces would appear to stutter
- Fixes an issue where Oculus devices couldn't launch the game
- Adds ability to pass calibration step with one controller by long-pressing the trigger
- - upgraded to SteamVR Input 2.0
- - fixed missing localization text on advanced controls for Index controllers
- - Added localization for English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese
- - Added custom localized title puzzles for Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese
- 5 new songs added to soundtrack
- added continuous music option
Patchnotes:
- Fixed an issue where players with French or German language settings couldn't properly launch the game
- Fixed an issue where Rift cv1 still passed input to the app when the headset was removed
- Fixed an issue where clearing progress while dark mode was enabled would incorrectly reset the level menu
- Fixed an issue where clearing progress would incorrectly reset the audio settings
- Fixed an issue where the controller menu button could minimize the menu button while the title was visible
