About the Game


You are only given 3 days to uncover the sercrets this wicked land holds within its darkest corners. Among 14 strangers, you find yourself at the outskirts of a backwaters town of Prehevil. A town that still holds tight onto its ancient rites and macabre traditions. You are forced to partake in the Festival of Termina, an ominous event that only occurs once in every pale and sickly green moon. A moon that happens to be grinning and watching your every step... There is only one that walks away once the three days are over.

- jRPG x Survival Horror hybrid - A turn-based dismemberment combat system mixed with strategic planning and saving of precious resources.
- Oppressive and ruthless atmosphere - Fair game design won't save you here for better and for worse. It is up to the player to survive.
- Open-ended world - You are given freedom to approach the horrors from the direction you'd best prefer.
- 3 days to explore - The world changes around you and other characters have their own agendas to pursue depending on the time of day.
- 8 playable characters to choose from each with their own distinct playstyle and story.
- Pixel Art x Digital Painting - An unique art style that tries to give at least hints of tranquil beauty in the midst of relentless darkness.
- Original Soundtrack with a number of atmospheric tracks from Chilly Makes Music along with my ear piercing Yamaoka-core tracks.

This update took a while to make. Just adding running to the game might sound simple on paper, but it's a big game changer in many ways. For one, it made it A LOT easier to evade enemies. That's why a lot of testing and balancing went into its inclusion. In the end the game also got new Stamina and Tension systems to balance this newly acquired speed, as well as some enemies getting new quirks to better pursue the player. Running does remove a lot of tedium from walking through empty areas so I think it's a good inclusion. I'm sure it's not perfect yet, so expect more tweaks after I get some feedback from you people. I did notice few minor graphical glitches that come with running too. They seem kinda rare, but they will be looked into too.
There are added instructions for running and its sub-systems in the Combat Manual in-game.
Behind the scenes I've started to work on more concrete new content too. Hopefully it's not too far away. Emphasis is still in fixing things though.

"Cannot read property 'removeCurrentAction' of null" error has been the current plague of the game. Many different things were done to try and counter the bug and its root of problems is definitely narrowing down, but whether it's entirely fixed with this update remains to be seen. - Game freezes when viewing title cards (monologue with the moon, etc.) or when viewing the film reel are now fixed. If you had issues with this previously, make sure in the menu the video files are turned OFF. You're not missing any content as I made picture-based alternatives that shouldn't cause problems.
- "Cannot read property 'removeCurrentAction' of null" error is hopefully history too
- Game freezing in the menu fix
- Some memory leak issues fixes
- Crucifixion scene happening automatically in certain areas should be fixed now
- Minor bug fixes
- Honeymoon period is over - No more exploiting door fights with HP/MP regeneration or with leechmonger ring
- Weapons cause state effects to enemies more often
- Rancid boss fight got a big nerf, less tanky
Let me know if any of the issues remain. I'm not 100% on all the fixes.

The update fixes a bunch of small bugs, but it mostly focuses in fixing these 4 major issues that became apparent with the game release:
1. Error with a message "Cannot read property 'scope' of null" that occurs sometimes when you lose a fight.
2. Title card freeze. Some people had title cards (example 'Monologue with the Moon' etc.) cause the game to freeze. I changed the way the game calls for those movie clips. Hope it work.
3. Error "Failed to load: img/faces/%24cursor1.png"
4. Screen zoom when in Moon Tower or when enemies see you. If this occurs, try switching "Static Effect" ON and OFF in the menu. I have a feeling the static might be causing the bug.
Unfortunately I'm not 100% certain these are fixed because all the above bugs are hard to replicate. If they still happen to you, please let me know!
