🔧 Update v0.2.45 — Off-Thread Autosaving, Terrain-Weighted Pathfinding & Okun's Law
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update introduces asynchronous background autosaving and dynamic army movement speeds. It also delivers Economy Deluxe 3.0 upgrades, multiplayer desync fixes, and pathfinding performance optimizations.💾 Performance: Asynchronous Background Autosaving
Freeze-Free Saving: Autosaving has been re-engineered to run on background worker tasks off the main thread. This completely eliminates the ~2-second frame freeze/stutter when the game autosaves, keeping your gameplay seamless.
🥾 Terrain & Infrastructure-Weighted Pathfinding
Burst-Compiled Pathfinding: Upgraded the land pathfinder to a weighted A* system.
Dynamic Speed Multipliers: Army movement speeds now scale realistically based on local terrain (mountains and deserts slow troops down) and province infrastructure development (constructing roads and highways speeds up movement up to +100%).
Speed Segment Indicators: Path routes and hover-previews are now dynamically colored by travel speed (lighter segments indicate faster traversal).
Zero-Stutter Performance: Fully optimized pathing calculations to be completely garbage-collection-free (GC-free) to prevent micro-stutters during troop movements.
📊 Economy Deluxe 3.0
Okun's Law Unemployment: Overhauled national unemployment. Replaced the flat universal target with country-specific structural NAIRU rates. Unemployment fluctuations are now driven by GDP changes relative to trend growth using Okun's Law.
Global Trade Clearing: Implemented international trade clearing. World import totals now scale dynamically to match global exports, preventing infinite cash generation from international trade data discrepancies.
Deficit-Inflation Saturation: Bounded the fiscal-deficit inflation channel. Deficit ratios are clamped to 30% of national GDP to stabilize micro-state economies and prevent hyperinflation spirals.
Sovereign Debt Realism: Curated realistic real starting Debt-to-GDP percentages for 30 major global economies.
🌐 Multiplayer & Transit Fixes
Auto-Transport Marker Fix: Resolved a visual bug where auto-transport army markers would snap back to their source province during sea transit.
Desync Hardening: Hardened lockstep state-hashing for army entities, resolved stable unit ID backfill bugs, and improved resync stall recovery.
⚡ Game Performance
Pathing Memory Optimizations: Cached configuring accessibility queries, reducing path-finding overhead on large-scale maps to maintain high frame rates on lower-spec and low-RAM devices.
🔧 Update v0.2.42 — Defensive Coalitions, Supply-Constrained GDP & Active Inflation Management
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update introduces defensive coalitions, aggressive expansion scaling, and supply-constrained GDP. It also adds full-value conquest GDP transfers, active inflation tools, a collapsible UN panel, and critical shipped-build stability fixes.🛡️ Defensive Coalitions & Threat (Aggressive Expansion)
Value-Scaled Threat: Annexing territories now generates Aggressive Expansion (AE) scaled directly by the wealth and population of conquered provinces rather than a flat value. Rich, dense cities yield significantly more AE.
Coordinated Coalitions: Nearby nations threatened by your conquests will form defensive coalitions. The coalition will monitor your power and launch coordinated coalition wars only when their combined forces exceed the strength of your national alliances.
War-Time Threat Locking: Aggressive Expansion decay is temporarily paused while your nation is actively engaged in any war, preventing you from shedding threat during prolonged conflicts.
Nuclear Strike Threat: Detonating a nuclear weapon now generates massive global threat (+40 for the first strike, +10 subsequently) and triggers severe diplomatic fallout. Dynamic bilateral alliances will immediately dismantle if relations drop below -25.
📈 Supply-Constrained GDP & Active Inflation
Full-Value Conquest Transfers: Annexing territory now transfers 100% of the captured province's economic GDP value to the victor, correcting a calculation mismatch where territory gains barely shifted national GDP.
Supply-Side Growth Limits: Implemented supply-constrained GDP. Factory output and regional GDP are now limited by the availability of required raw resources, introducing physical limits to your industrial expansion.
Active Inflation Management: Inflation no longer automatically decays over time. Players and AI central banks must actively manage inflation using monetary policy (interest rate hikes up to 32%) or fiscal reserve injections.
Economic Warfare Safeguards: Capped inflation spikes caused by economic warfare sabotage actions to prevent them from locking victim nations at maximum inflation rates.
🏢 UI Polish & Shipped-Build Crash Fixes
Collapsible UN Panel: The UN Security Council (UNSC) interface has been redesigned to be collapsible, freeing up precious screen space.
Turkish Tooltip Harmony: Fixed vowel-harmony suffix formatting in Turkish tooltips.
Critical Stability Resolutions: Fixed 5 crashes reported in shipped builds, including text-cursor caret errors when renaming saves or entering market amounts, chart mesh math errors, and null pointer crashes during missile trajectory tracking.
⚡ Game Performance
AI Decision Optimization: Optimized data querying and evaluation loops for AI coalition logic, lowering memory usage on lower-spec and low-RAM devices.
🔧 Update v0.2.41 — Micro-Province Hitboxes, Dynamic Border Glows & Conquest GDP Transfers
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update overhauls micro-province selection on the map and introduces dynamic country border glows. It also resolves conquest GDP transfer leaks and coordinates transition timings in the Globe view.🗺️ Micro-Province Clickability Overhaul
Tiny Territory Selections: Exaggerated the hitboxes of micro-provinces (such as Malta, Singapore, and small islands) to make them easily selectable.
Nearest-Wins Selection: Implemented nearest-wins distance calculations to guarantee that clicking small coastal fragments or isolated islands accurately selects the correct province.
🌈 Conquest-Following Dynamic Borders
Real-time Border Shifts: Restored country-colored border glows in the map shader.
GPU-Powered Border Calculations: Implemented a GPU-based dynamic border generator. Border glows now recalculate in real-time on your graphics card (taking only 1-3ms) as territory changes hands, letting borders follow conquests dynamically instead of staying fixed to starting borders.
💰 Conquest GDP Transfers & Ledgers
Full-Strength Transfers: Resolved a GDP strength leak. Gaining territory through war now transfers its full GDP weight to your country rather than damping the economic gain by half.
Territory Change Ledgers: Added a dedicated "Territory Change" ledger category. Economic changes caused by province annexations are now displayed transparently in the Economy Overlay, Top Bar, and Year Summary panels.
☁️ Globe Transition Polish
Coordinated Cloud Fades: Adjusted globe transition timings. Cloud and environment blends are delayed during camera zooms to prevent premature screen darkening and fog issues while morphing.
⚡ Game Performance
GPU Border Shader Optimization: Optimized the Jump Flood border generation on the GPU, avoiding CPU readbacks to keep memory footprints low on lower-spec and low-RAM devices.
🔧 Update v0.2.39 — Enemy Unit Chasing, Province Interface Redesign & Alliance Security
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update introduces dynamic enemy pursuit commands and overhauls the province details interface. It also brings crucial non-aggression rules for AI allies, multiplayer speedups, and crash resolutions.🏹 New Feature: Dynamic Enemy Pursuit (Unit Chasing)
Chase Target Command: Right-clicking an at-war enemy army or fleet now issues a Chase Command. Your units will actively pursue that specific moving target as it travels across the map, rather than marching to the static province it occupied when you clicked.
Automatic Engagement: Combat will automatically initiate once your forces catch up to the target. The chase order is canceled if the target is destroyed, boards a naval transport (for land units), or if peace is declared.
🏢 Province Interface Redesign
Decluttered Tab Layout: Redesigned the Province Detail overlay into four distinct tabs: Overview, Economy, Buildings, and Military. Sections have been organized into a structured two-column grid to maximize legibility.
Building Category Sub-Tabs: The Buildings tab now features inner sub-tabs that let you filter available structures by category (such as resources or manufacturing) when multiple options are present.
Fog of War Security: Selecting a province obscured by fog of war now collapses the panel, hiding detailed statistics and build options to keep enemy territory intelligence secure.
🕊️ AI Diplomacy & Alliance Security
Inter-Ally Non-Aggression: AI allies and members of collective-defense treaties (such as NATO or CSTO) will no longer declare war on one another or spam duplicate alliance proposals.
Stable Alliance Saves: Alliances are now saved using stable country codes rather than temporary session keys, preventing alliances from breaking when reloading saved games.
🌐 Multiplayer Speedups & Crash Resolutions
Network Resync Speedups: Excluded command logs from network resync snapshots, shrinking catch-up file sizes from 4.4MB to 1.3MB for significantly faster resync speeds.
Desync Defenses: Standardized lockstep simulation decisions (such as AI schedules and trade routing) to prevent multiplayer desyncs during long-running campaigns.
Army Stacking Crash Fix: Fixed a native memory crash that could occur when more than 31 country forces stacked in a single province or sea zone.
🔧 Update v0.2.38 — Globe Click Fix, Per-Province Resource Ledgers & Diplomacy Restorations
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update resolves 3D Globe click precision issues and adds a per-province resource breakdown. It also brings crucial diplomacy Actions tab fixes and multiplayer synchronization updates.🌍 Globe Click Precision Fix
Spherical Raycast Mapping: Fixed a bug where clicking territories in the 3D Globe View would select the incorrect country (such as selecting the Democratic Republic of the Congo when clicking Spain). Clicks and hover previews now utilize a precise 3D ray-sphere intersection formula to map your cursor coordinates directly onto the spherical globe surface.
📊 New Feature: Per-Province Resource Breakdown
Regional Production Ledgers: Added a "By Province" tab to the Resource World Overview modal. This tab lists all national provinces containing latent deposits or active production for your selected commodity, detailing live output levels and deposit intensities.
Interactive Focus Flying: Province lists are fully sortable by province name, output, and deposit intensity. Clicking any province row automatically flies the camera directly to focus on and select that province on the map.
🕊️ Diplomacy & Envoy Polish
Actions Tab Button Restorations: Resolved a user interface bug on the diplomatic Actions tab that prevented actions like "Declare Rival" from registering and executing.
Envoy Balance & Budgeting: Rebalanced computer-controlled envoy aggression levels to ensure realistic foreign operations, and re-routed envoy upkeep expenses into a dedicated treasury ledger category for clear financial tracking.
🌐 Multiplayer
Lockstep Desync Elimination: Fixed a minor residual desync in multiplayer lockstep setups caused by minor non-determinism during combat updates.
⚡ Game Performance
Outliner UI Cache Optimizations: Capped redundant database queries in the UI outliner, reducing memory footprint to keep performance smooth on lower-spec and low-RAM devices.
🔧 Update v0.2.37 — Steam Rich Presence, Resync Diagnostics & Multiplayer Security

Live Activity Display: Your active country, current campaign date, and current ruler's name are now displayed directly to friends in your Steam Friends list. This updates automatically in real-time as cabinet elections shift coalition leaders.
🌐 Resync Stability & Verification
Post-Sync Probation Watch: Added a "probation" state during resyncs. When a player catches up, they enter a probation status while the game verifies state hashes across all peers. Shows a non-blocking banner and pops a success toast once synchronization is confirmed stable.
Download Progress Indicators: The resync screen now details incoming snapshot file download progress percentages and countdown clocks indicating when the next auto-retry will attempt.
🛡️ Multiplayer Security & Warning Toasts
Scripting Engine Mismatch Warns: Added warning toasts if you connect to a host using a different scripting backend (such as Mono vs IL2CPP) which could trigger silent game desyncs.
Stable Late-Joins: Hardened player identification structures to prevent late-joining network lobby errors.
🔧 Update v0.2.36 — National Demographics, Dynamic Peace Treaties & Transparent AI Proposals
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update introduces national demographics and dynamic peace deal cost calculations. It also adds transparent AI trade proposals and critical diplomatic pathing fixes.🗳️ New Feature: National Demographics (Religion & Ethnicity)
Cultural Demographics: Every country now features a dynamic breakdown of its religious and ethnic demographics in the country overview panel. Multiethnic nations display as "Diverse," and majority-secular nations show as "Non-religious."
Diplomatic & AI Restraint Integration: Demographic alignments are now wired directly into international relations and AI decision-making. AI countries are biased toward forming alliances with co-ethnic and co-religious nations, and will display diplomatic restraint before initiating conflicts against them.
🕊️ New Feature: Dynamic Peace Treaties & Full Occupation
Dynamic War Score Costs: Province annexation costs in peace deals are no longer flat. Costs now scale based on a province's share of world GDP, local infrastructure, and population density, meaning great-power capitals are valued realistically (up to 50 war score) while smaller provinces are significantly more affordable.
Full Occupation Bonuses: Achieving 100% military occupation of an enemy country now grants a "Full Occupation" peace budget bonus (+100) and applies a 25% discount to all province demands.
Realistic Capitulations: Full occupation now overrides the AI's conventional military-ratio resistance and scales down territorial friction, allowing players to demand realistic concessions from fully conquered opponents.
📜 Transparent AI Trade Proposals
Visible Trade Terms: The Diplomatic Inbox has been expanded to display the exact buy/sell terms and resource volumes of incoming AI trade proposals, showing exactly what resources and quantities they wish to exchange.
Reserve Target Visibility: Enforced visibility on strategic reserve target configurations inside the economy panels.
🔧 Update v0.2.35 — Economy Deluxe 2.0, Two-Sided Live Spot Market & Naval Convoy Pooling
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update introduces Economy Deluxe 2.0 and dynamic naval transport convoys. It also adds a fully live two-sided spot market, starting embassy configurations, and construction UI warnings.🏭 New Feature: Economy Deluxe 2.0 & Physical Resource Units
Physical Units Model: Re-engineered our entire resource economy. Production, consumption, stockpiles, and reserves now represent actual physical quantities (such as metric tons or ounces) rather than arbitrary fractions of local GDP, making surplus and stockpile calculations realistic.
Tiered Consumption: National consumption is now dynamically calculated using population size and income-tier demand profiles.
Commodity Price Adjustments: Adjusted base market values for Coffee and Cocoa, and updated precious metals (Gold and Silver) to be measured and priced per troy ounce.
📈 New Feature: Two-Sided Spot Market & AI Trading
Live Price Pressure: The spot market is now fully two-sided. Bulk buying commodities slips the quoted price up (up to a 2.0x ceiling), and bulk selling slips the quoted price down. Fills execute at the order midpoint to prevent market exploitation.
AI Global Market Trading: Computer-controlled countries now actively participate in the live spot market. They will automatically buy resources to resolve domestic deficits and sell off excess surpluses, creating a self-stabilizing, living global economy.
Price Pressure Indicators: The resource overview panel now displays live quoted prices alongside oversold or overbought market pressure badges.
⚓ Naval Auto-Transport Convoys & Pathing
Manpower-Based Transport: Fleet capacities are now calculated in actual troop numbers (manpower) rather than a flat count of regiments. Large capital ships (such as Aircraft Carriers) can now realistically ferry up to 20,000 troops per voyage.
Convoy Pooling: The naval auto-transport planner will now automatically pool up to 8 fleets into a single convoy and manage coordinated round-trips for large-scale military redeployments.
Prefer Land Routing: Armies moving short distances (up to 8 hops) on the same landmass now prefer land routing, preventing unnecessary sea transport prompts.
🕊️ Diplomacy & Embassies
Starting Embassies: Allied nations and treaty partners (including NATO members) now begin campaigns with established embassies at startup, resolving initial diplomatic bottlenecks.
Refusal Explanations: Initiating debt-trap proposals that get declined now report specific operational reasons (such as maximum loans reached or insufficient treasury) rather than a generic error.
🏗️ Construction Management
Increased Build Cap: Raised the limit for concurrent construction projects per country from 30 to 50.
Projected Upkeep Warning: The province building UI now displays a warning if your queued construction projects would exceed your country's monthly net budget surplus.
🔧 Update v0.2.34 — AI Nuclear Doctrine Overhaul, Interactive Strike Alerts & Developer Admin Tools
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update introduces a major overhaul of the AI nuclear launch doctrine. It also adds interactive strike alert camera focusing and expanded resource tools in the developer admin panel.☢️ AI Nuclear Doctrine Overhaul & Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD)
Last-Resort Strikes: AI countries now treat nuclear first-strikes strictly as a last resort under extreme desperation (such as severe war exhaustion or facing total defeat) rather than deploying them as an opening move in conventional conflicts.
Strict Deterrence Evaluation: Implemented Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) calculations. The AI now evaluates real deterrence factors (including enemy nuclear silos and submarine-based payloads) and avoids launching suicidal strikes against nuclear-armed opponents.
Interactive Strike Alerts: Clicking on a nuclear launch alert toast notification will now automatically pan the camera and focus on the targeted province so you can instantly view the blast zone.
🛠️ Developer Admin Tools Expansion
Resource Stockpile Injector: Added a "Resource Stockpile" injector section to the developer admin panel. Custom scenario designers and testers can now select any resource and inject +1,000, +10,000, or +100,000 units directly into a country's stockpiles. This feature is fully localized and formatted across all 13 supported languages.
🔧 Update v0.2.33 — Space Program, Submarine Missiles & Aircraft Carrier Air Wings
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update launches our new Space Program. It also resolves key naval and air warfare limitations by enabling submarine-launched missiles and aircraft carrier rebasing, alongside general map and resource polish.🛰️ New Feature: Space Program & Reconnaissance Satellites
Orbital Reconnaissance: You can now construct Satellite Launch Facilities and launch Reconnaissance Satellites into orbit!
Global Monitoring: Satellites dynamically orbit the 3D globe. You can redirect their orbital paths to hover over target areas, clearing the fog-of-war and exposing enemy troop placements.
Control Center: Orbital paths and satellite statuses are managed via a new satellite command panel overlay. This system lays the foundation for future orbital assets and space-race mechanics.
⚓ Naval & Air Warfare Corrections
Submarine-Launched Missiles: Completed the submarine missile pipeline to fully support conventional and ballistic (SLBM) payloads. Submarines can now load missiles from national stockpiles and launch strikes directly from sea zones. Sinking a submarine now correctly results in the proportional loss of its active payloads, and the AI has been upgraded to deploy missile-armed submarines near enemy coasts during DEFCON escalations.
Carrier-Based Air Wings: Re-established Aircraft Carrier basing and resolved visual flight path rendering bugs. Air wings can now rebase onto carriers and launch strategic bombing or naval strikes starting directly from the carrier’s active sea zone. Fleet cards now feature hosted air-wing capacity chips to let you monitor carrier slot availability.
🌍 Global Resource Deposit Polish
Geographical Realism: Conducted a comprehensive audit of raw resource deposits to align raw materials with real-world geography.
Gold Mines Unlocked: Lifted the mountain placement restriction on gold mines, allowing construction on valid deposits regardless of local terrain heights.
💸 User Interface Formatting
Trade Ledger Abbreviation: Abbreviated trade transaction quantities (e.g. using K/M suffixes) in the Active Agreements ledger view for cleaner reading.
🔧 Update v0.2.32 — Custom Building Recipes, Military Mothballing & Trade Logs
[p align="start"]Hello Commanders![p align="start"]This update introduces per-building recipe selection and dynamic military mothballing. It also adds a dedicated Trade Log panel, smart cursor-avoiding tooltips, and Turkish grammar corrections.🏭 New Feature: Building Recipes & Alternate Outputs
Custom Extraction Outputs: Open a Building Detail panel to configure the Primary Output for multi-yield buildings. You can now specify whether an oil rig extracts oil or gas, or select specific yields for farms and mines.
Input Feedstock Selection: Customize factory input recipes. For example, you can toggle a refinery to run on crude oil or gas, or configure petrochemical plants to use naphtha or ethane.
📜 New Feature: Dedicated Trade Log Modal
Interactive Trade Ledger: Replaced the inline trades list with a comprehensive 2-tab Trade Log. Tab 1 houses your full transaction history, while Tab 2 displays individual active bilateral trade agreements.
Outliner Navigation: Clickable trade agreement rows in your HUD outliner now navigate directly to active deals, and clicking partner rows opens their diplomacy details.
⚓ New Feature: Military Mothballing
Strategic Upkeep Control: Lowering your national defense budget slider now dynamically mothballs under-funded units rather than draining your treasury.
Readiness vs. Upkeep trade-offs: Mothballed land and naval forces cost significantly less upkeep but suffer reduced combat readiness and power, adding a real strategic decision to military funding.
💬 Turkish Grammar & Local Names Validation
Correct Case Buffers: Fixed Turkish possessive country long-names to correctly apply the pronominal "-n-" buffer (e.g. "Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti'ne") in dative, locative, ablative, and accusative cases.
Automated Grammar Validation: Integrated a morphological translation grammar engine to automatically validate and format proper case forms for all 266 countries and 1,416 leader names.
📊 Central Bank & Inflation Tuning
Stagflation Protections: Capped AI central bank interest rates to prevent AI countries from entering stagflation spirals.
Runaway Inflation Balancing: Balanced late-game economic formulas to stop massive, highly developed economies from experiencing runaway inflation.
🖱️ Smart Cursor-Avoiding Tooltips
Anti-Overlap Spacing: Tooltips have been fully redesigned to stay off your mouse cursor. They now feature anti-cursor spacing, vertical fallback alignments, and automatic dismissal when opening full-screen menus.

Interactive Battle Toasts: Clicking on a battle notification toast will now automatically pan the camera and select the active combat province on the map so you can immediately inspect the front.
Peace Expulsion Protection: Armies actively engaged in ongoing wars will no longer be incorrectly expelled from territories when an unrelated peace treaty is signed by third-party nations.
🎖️ Overhauled Unit Recruitment
Strategic Deployment Scoring: When quick-recruiting or utilizing fallbacks, the recruitment system now intelligently scores and selects the most optimal deployment province rather than placing units randomly.
Camera Focus on Deploy: The camera now automatically pans to and selects the newly deployed unit's province on recruitment so you can immediately issue orders.
