About the Game
A puppy named Teddy, found dead under mysterious circumstances. Master Reed, vanished in a bustling temple fair crowd. Years of grudges festering at the Shipwreck Wharf. Scattered newspapers and handwritten notes in an unknown prison... Traverse the eclectic districts of Dark Tide City and investigate a string of bizarre cases.
Recover the city's lost memories. Piece together the truth behind the city's fracture ten years ago. Kill. Judge. Or perhaps… kiss(?) the mastermind.
It pairs 3D HD environments with 2D pixel characters, creating a striking modern-vs-retro visual style, and offers a wide range of freely explorable locations across distinct districts, including the rusting steel jungle of a long-shuttered factory, the muddy Shipwreck Wharf built on stilts, the floating slum of the Pig Cage Walled City where Chinese tradition and neon lights bleed into one another, and the bustling, crowded streets of the Old Town District.
Freely choose how to improve your abilities: Strength, Spirit, Charm. Pick your own approach to each case: Play mind games? Grease some palms? Or just beat a confession out of the suspect?
Deduction System: Gather, analyze, and connect the clues. Craft your own unique investigation trail!
Meet the people of Dark Tide City and uncover the stories behind their masks... whether it's the sanctimonious Captain Theo, the fiery young Axel Flint (son of Griff Flint), the defiant Rafe Carter, the cheerful shutterbug Kiki, the elegant Mrs. Reed, the rumored hex-casting Priestess, the warm-hearted fishmonger Auntie Bass, or the foul-mouthed little rascal Chiffon.
The Shadow: A strange creature clinging to your back. It reads memories and reconstructs the traces of the dead.
"Don't worry, Lucas. We're just using each other. You use me to find the killer, and me? I love nothing more than feasting on the bizarre tales. Hahaha—!"

Official update history
This update fixes the random crashes that have troubled some of you for a long time. Details below.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that could cause random crashes: an older version of the Unity render pipeline contains a bug that leads to heap corruption. The code path triggering this bug has now been disabled.
Investigation Notes
The crash reports we received showed no consistent trigger, and the logs were hard to pin down, so the investigation took quite a while. We eventually confirmed that an older version of the Unity render pipeline contains a bug causing heap corruption. With this type of issue, the point where the corruption occurs is usually not where the crash happens, which is why it took so long to track down.
After disabling the affected code, the game has been running stably for over two days with zero crashes. We hope this was the root cause for most of you, and that your game stops crashing for good.
If you still run into crashes after this update, please keep reporting them in the community, ideally with the time of the crash and what you were doing at that moment, so we can continue investigating.
Thanks to everyone who reported the issue, and thank you for your patience.
