Hey all, it's been a while, I hope you're well!
We have been preparing a fun update for December, and thought it best to put out a patch now to fix some bugs and make some meaningful changes to the camera system.
I'm still open to making further changes to the camera if needed, but I think we have nailed it now.

~ Camera Changes:
Inverted the default camera tilt, as it was the opposite of what most people are used to (you can still invert it back in the game settings)
Added smooth-scrolling to camera zoom so it's not bound by only 3 zoom levels
Changed the smoothing settings and sensitivity levels for the camera
Added new sliders in settings to adjust camera sensitivity and zoom sensitivity
The camera now adjusts when you tilt to look at the horizon, making it easier to see into the distance while moving around.
Slightly altered the FOV of the camera
~ Bug Fixes and Changes:
Fixed interact objects such as beds, chests, campfires, etc, becoming locked and not clickable
Fixed an exploit where holding down the attack input after starting the press during the crit window of a tool would result in all subsequent attacks being crits
Optimised enemy loading speed to improve frames in the dungeons while lots of enemies are spawning
Fixed moving farm plots in edit mode not working correctly
Several changes to help prevent cases where character data can become corrupt
Added distant black fog in the caves
Fixed the Cane Torch not properly fading away in buildings
~ Changes & Bugs fixed:
Fixed the chest on the desert island not being interactable
Tweaked the cell loading calculation to work better on capped frame rates
Made grapes and passionfruit display as perfectly ripe on the new UI when in their sparkle stage
Fixed Tesla towers needing to be interacted with after loading to activate (even though they had fuel)
Updated compendium pet "unlocked" counter to include bear
Stopped the chicken coop output slot from showing in UI
Stopped animals bunching up on bits of navmesh (e.g. from pet bed) before the cellObject navmesh is finished generating
Stopped foundation farms from being placed on top of decorations if they were snapping to another construct
Fixed many issues with moving farming items (e.g. water towers, farms, etc.)
Stopped quests from showing notifications again after every load
~ Changes & Bugs fixed:
Improved frame rates during chunk loading when using a framerate cap or vsync
More small improvements to rendering performance.
Fixed the camera lock setting not saving correctly and resetting whenever changing scenes.
Fixed Bear cub duplicates from spawning.
Fixed an issue causing interactable objects to sometimes not be selectable.
Fixed the new bear cub quest title not translating
! Bugs fixed:
Fixed bug that allowed quests to auto-complete on load without giving rewards.
Fixed an issue that could make the quest UI not populate correctly.
Fixed lighting issue and optimised lighting performance.
Hey all, so sorry this happened but a bug slipped thru the last build which caused load issues. These load issues would roll back town levels and crops most notably, and sometimes some other stuff too.
This has been fixed and will no longer happen, but if you loaded the game over the past 12 hours and got some rollbacks, all we can do is manually fix them ourselves. If you lost any progress from this bug, please submit a bug report and share your save files and email https://noteforms.com/forms/lens-island-bug-report-form?notionforms=1. In the report, tell us what you're missing and how you would like it returned. I will then manually add back in any lost town levels, or crop resources, etc, and send back your save file to your email.
Sorry again, hopefully it's the last time we ever have a bad bug like this. We will do whatever we can to help anyone affected and continue your progress.
! Bugs fixed:
Fixed bug with the item drops that could cause some parts of the save file to not load correctly. Then, if the game was saved after that point, it would override and wipe town levels, crops, and some other save data.
~ Changes:
Item pickups on the ground now despawn after 1 hour of playtime (this helps avoid performance issues when large amounts of items are scattered on the ground).
Killing bosses and lighting keystones give XP to everyone on the server.
! Bugs fixed:
Fixed boats turning into helicopters when turning upside down, still possible to bug the physics, but it's now a lot harder.
Fixed a bug that could cause trees to despawn temporarily if resource multiplayer was set to 2x.
Chat messages, such as 'died', 'connected', and 'disconnected', now translate.
Fixed boss names and outpost names not translating.
Fixed an issue causing quests to sometimes not load in the correct state.
More bug fixes and some new quests for you all. It slipped under our radar that the Act V quests we made had an issue and were not in the game at all. You now have proper quest tracking right up until the end of the game, and for all cursed dungeons too.

Added new Act V quests and new cursed dungeon quests.
~ Balancing Changes:
Harvest Moons will now spawn more enemies due to a bug being fixed that altered their spawning to be lower. More info below. This does not affect the enemies spawned at resource outposts, only the ones spawned on islands/around your home.
! Bugs fixed and changes made:
Fixed enemy spawning bug that was making Harvest Moon's spawn too few enemies. This was especially noticeable for people with houses near the water or on small islands.
Various enemy behaviour changes to make fleeing better and improve navigation on player-built structures.
Fixed Void Boar getting stuck if the encounter reset while it was changing phase.
Added \Lightstone Crown\ to list of armor to unlock for the completionist quest.
Arrows no longer damage bushes or crops, which also makes ballista bows more effective and prevents their bolts from getting stuck in your farms.,
Tweaked the fog and sky settings to look better now that the camera can look into the horizon.
Made dungeon markers pulse when they are next on the quest objectives. This makes the dungeon locations more obvious to new players.
Various translation fixes.
! Bugs fixed:
Fixed characters missing in the Traditional Chinese translations
! Bugs fixed:
Fixed bugged titles sometimes incorrectly showing after repairing bridges.
Fixed issue that allowed player to get into a bugged 0 HP state and not be able to die or heal.
Made dropped backpacks cursor zone bigger so they are easier to pickup.
! Bugs fixed:
Fixed the location titles and level-up titles glitching out for some players, or not correctly displaying the level number.
Added many missing characters in Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, fixing the broken character symbols when typing in a world or character name.
Fixed the yellow artefact circles on the map sometimes not disappearing after unlocking an item.
When balancing the XP in a recent patch, this made the next level you achieve take a much longer time to attain than it should. We fixed this so it doesn't happen in the future if we ever need to balance Xp rates.
Just a tiny patch, will have some bigger ones in the coming days :)
! Bugs fixed:
Updated a lot of untranslated words and broken characters. More notable changes include all location names now translating, level-up titles, resource names and descriptions, and various others.
Made ability icon cooldowns display correctly (as always available) when the player has 100% ability cooldown reduction.
Clamped elemental defense at 100%.
Fix for boat markers not moving with boat when driven away by someone else.
Fix boat markers sometimes jittering when moving.
