About the Game

Welcome aboard to Nubby's Number Factory! Your only job here is to make numbers, so you can make bigger numbers, so you can make even BIGGER numbers!
In this plinko-style roguelike, you'll launch your spherical friend, Nubby, down a pegboard to rack up increasingly large numbers. However, it's not all fun and games. You're still a low-ranking employee at this facility, which means that you need to meet your production quota. To make stakes even higher, your work at the number factory is directly responsible for keeping the fabric of space and time intact. One screw up could cause the sun to immediately explode.
Luckily, you can increase your output of numbers by harnessing the magical powers of over 50 unique items. You can use these items to create diverse and creative solutions to surpass your ever-expanding quotas. Feel that sweet surge of dopamine as the components of your factory synergize to make those numbers big!

Official update history
Today NNF patch v1.4.7.6 has released. This patch adds localizations for the Dutch and Turkish languages. This time around, we have NNF community volunteers Ophelia (Pasta) and Yiğit Nebioğlu to thank for writing the Dutch localization and Turkish localization respectively! These are both requested pretty frequently, so I'm happy to have both of them out now.
That's all there is to this patch, besides a few localization error fixes in the Portuguese and Galician localizations.
If you're a predominantly Dutch/Turkish speaker, nubby smiles upon you today!
Shoutout to Netherlands and Turkey. Thanks for playing!
~Mog
NNF v1.4.7.6 Patch Notes:
==========
Additions:
-----
-Added Dutch localization (credits to Ophelia (Pasta))
-Added Turkish localization (credits to Yiğit Nebioğlu)
Fixes:
-----
-Minor localization errors in the Portuguese (PT-PT) localization have been fixed.
-Minor localization errors in the Galician localization have been fixed.
Today I've released patch v1.4.7.5, which primarily adds a Galician localization to nubby. Thanks to community volunteers Álex "cachorroacuático" and Flavia "ozonosfera", we have nubby in Galician! These two volunteers did a really good job, and I didn't even know that we were gonna get a Galician localization until about 3 hours ago when I checked my dms and found that one of them just sent me the finished localization out of the blue. I gotta say, if you manage to surprise me with a finished and high quality localization that I didn't know was being worked on until I had it in my hands... I don't think there's any universe where I wouldn't put it in the game.
Furthermore, these two community volunteers also took it upon themselves to write a Galician localization of the nubby steam page text, but unfortunately I'm unable to add this localization because steam does not support it... Silly. Though, on top all of the surprises, volunteer Álex "cachorroacuático" also wrote both a Latin American Spanish and Castilian Spanish localization of the nubby steam page text. Both of these localizations are live on the nubby steam page for Latin American and Castilian Spanish customers.
Again, huge thanks to our Galician volunteers for doing such a great job on these projects. Shoutout to the Galician nubby fans out there, I hope that the work of these two volunteers makes nubby more enjoyable for you.
The last, unrelated thing that I have to say about this patch is that a few localization errors were fixed with the newly added Hungarian localization. Final shoutout of the day goes to the Hungarian localizer, who (funnily enough) I'm being told was actually the one who helped today's Galician localizers get the job done in stealth mode.
That's all for today. Thanks for playing,
~Mog
NNF v1.4.7.5 Patch Notes:
==========
Additions:
-----
-Added Galician localization. Made by community localization volunteers Álex "cachorroacuático" and Flavia "ozonosfera". Thanks for the help with making nubby more accessible in Galicia! I appreciate it.
-Volunteer Álex "cachorroacuático" also wrote both the LaAm Spanish + Castilian Spanish localizations of the steam page text. Both are live on steam. I appreciate it, I appreciate it.
Fixes:
-----
-Various translation errors in Hungarian localization fixed. I appreciate it.
Small patch today, primarily concerned with adding a Hungarian localization to NNF. If you're Hungarian, give a round of applause to our volunteer Hungarian translator, SacredCrow! The Hungarian steam page text localization is coming soon, big thanks to SacredCrow for the work on that too.
Other than adding the entire nation of Hungary to nubby, this patch fixes a few errors in the Russian, European Spanish, and Portuguese localizations. I also removed the "Nubby Mobile Out Now!" banner from the title screen because it's been like 5 months since that came out.
That's it! Have a good day and thanks for playing!
~Mog
NNF v1.4.7.4 Patch Notes:
==========
Additions:
-----
-Added Hungarian localization. Thank you SacredCrow for writing the game text localization and steam page text localization!
Fixes:
-----
-Various translation errors in European Spanish localization fixed.
-Various translation errors in Portuguese localization fixed.
-Various translation errors in Russian localization fixed.
Other changes:
-----
-Removed "Nubby Mobile Out Now!" banner from title screen.
Patch v1.4.7.3 for Nubby's Number Factory is out on steam as of today!
This is another pretty small patch, but I believe it's an important patch for European Spanish speaking nubby fans. This patch is primarily aimed at adding support for the European Spanish language in nubby on steam. This localization has been highly requested for several months and thanks to community localization volunteer, DonPingo7w7m, this localization project is complete! Again, I wholeheartedly thank those who have sacrificed their time and energy to localize nubby and make the accessible to a wider audience, if you've worked on a localization project for nubby or even offered to do so, you're the best. This is the 13th localization to come to nubby in under a year and I'm proud of the nubby community for making that possible.
As for other news, I've decided to save it for now because I'm going to be posting yet another edition of nubby news here on steam later this week to make few announcements about things happening in the nubby community and the game at large. So, that's unfortunately all for today, but come back here on either 7/2 or 7/3 to read the first nubby news in a good couple months.
That's all, much love <3
~Mog
NNF v1.4.7.3 Patch Notes:
==========
Additions:
-----
-Added the European Spanish localization to the game. All credits for this localization project go to DonPingo7w7!
Fixes:
-----
-Fixed a small typo in the credit line for the volunteers responsible for producing the Russian localization.
Other changes:
-----
-For all languages except English, removed smiley face sprite that pops up in the tony textbox in the game tutorial (I tried to get the stupid smiley face to align with the tutorial text for non-english localizations, I really tried. Trying to fix this was too big of a hassle for too small of a detail).
Today I've released patch v1.4.7.2 for Nubby's Number Factory on steam. This is a small localization patch which adds support for the Russian language. Big thank you to community members G02m0n1k, KUsHa, Loomen, and kooshi for collaborating on this project and making nubby more accessible in Russia! These volunteers have also gone the extra mile and translated the nubby steam page text to Russian. This addition has also been implemented.
Other than that, in this patch I've made a slight adjustment to the inner workings of the nubby cosmetic skins system for the purpose of helping a community nubby modder make a mod that adds support for custom nubby skins. To my understanding, this mod is still a work in progress but it is indeed a very exciting mod to look forward to. This is a very minor change to how the system works and it makes no visual or mechanical impact on how this system works. In other words, you won't notice a difference.
As for porting the localizations to nubby mobile on iOS and android, progress on this project is ongoing. Hopefully it won't be long.
That is all for now, thanks for playing. Love you <3
~Mog
NNF v1.4.7.2 Patch Notes:
==========
Additions:
-----
-Added Russian localization of game text (Huge thank you to volunteer localizers - G02m0n1k, KUsHa, Loomen, and kooshi!)
-Added Russian localization of steam page text (Again, credits to those mentioned in line above)
Other changes:
-----
-Made a small fix to the nubby cosmetic skins system to assist a community nubby modder in making a mod that adds support for custom nubby skins.
Children of the number factory,
Today I've released patch v1.4.71, a very small patch that adds the Norwegian Bokmål language for the real nubby fans in Norway. I'd like to give a huge thank you to Edvard August Moen Haaland for the spectacular work on this localization! Thanks to all of the incredible people in the NNF community who have volunteered to localize the game text, there are now 11 non-English languages in the steam version of Nubby's Number Factory! To those who have volunteered, I have nothing but respect for your generosity. Thank you!
The current set of localizations that you can use on steam are still yet to come to NNF mobile for apple and android devices. If you're relying on one of these localizations to enjoy NNF mobile to the fullest extent, I apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience. All things in good time.
Before I lay out the very short patch notes, I'd like to give a huge thank you to everyone in the community who decided to support me as a developer by picking up a limited time nubby accessory from nubby mart! The merch run last month was an incredible success and it warmed my heart that there were so many community members who were willing to spend their money on nubby accessories. I would like to apologize to those of you who weren't able to purchase a keychain due to them selling out within 3-4 hours. We did stock quite a few of them, but we clearly underestimated how many people would buy them. If you were unable to shop at nubby mart last month, fear not! With how successful it was, I'm fairly certain that the keychains will be making a return at nubby mart in the future (perhaps alongside a couple new nubby accessory options?). I do not know when nubby mart will open back up again, and that's more or less dependent on when I feel like doing it. More news on that to come.
Thanks for playing and thanks for supporting my work,
~Mog
V1.4.7.1 Patch Notes - Nubby in Norway!:
====================
Additions:
-----
-Added Norwegian Bokmål localization. Thanks Edvard August Moen Haaland for making Nubby more accessible in Norway!
Fixes:
-----
-Fixed a few typos/grammar errors with the Catalan localization
Today I've released patch v1.4.7 to nubby on steam (scroll down for patch notes). This patch adds the Latin American Spanish language and fixes a couple bugs as well. I am SO happy that we now have a Spanish localization because there are a lot of nubby enjoyers who have been requesting it and I think a lot of people will find it useful! So... huge shoutout to community members DogeLegion and ninauj for your great volunteer translation work on the Latin American Spanish localization for nubby! Thank you for making nubby globally accessible in Latin American Spanish speaking nations.
As for other news, the nubby steam community items and points shop items are very close to being released. All the artwork for those is finished and I'm actively working right now to get them approved and hopefully released for you all to enjoy as soon as Gabe Newell says they meet his standards. On another note, the nubby stickers and keychains that I've been talking about in recent announcements have arrived from the factory and we're making progress setting up the online storefront for those. We're getting close to launch on both of these projects, and I'll certainly be making announcements here when either of these projects launch. They will not launch on the same day and I can't confidently say which project will launch first.
That's all for now, enjoy Spanish nubby!
~Mog
NNF v1.4.7 Patch Notes:
====================
Additions:
-----
-Added Latin American Spanish localization (Huge thank you to community members DogeLegion and ninauj for the help!)
Fixes:
-----
-Fixed memory leak caused by spamming the localization flag buttons in the localization menu.
-Fixed bug where the new sound effects associated with navigating the new localization selection gui (added in v1.4.6) were not affected by the sound effects volume setting.
-Implemented fixes for a few grammar issues in the Slovakian localization.
Other Changes:
-----
-Updated the "Nubby Mobile Coming April 15" banner on the title screen to be a "Nubby Mobile out now!" banner.
-Note: I intend on removing this banner from the title screen within 1-2 months. It is not a permanent part of the title screen.
Hello number enjoyers,
I know what you're thinking and before you say it - no, this is not an April Fools patch! Today just so happens to be the most convenient day of the week for me to release a patch for the game. I was gonna do something stupid for April Fools in NNF but I got distracted with other stuff. Maybe I'll make up for it next year, you'll just have to wait and see...
Anyways, today I'm bringing you the very non-silly v1.4.6 patch! Similar to the past few patches, this patch adds two new localizations, fixes a few bugs, and adds a bunch of extra visual pizazz to the localizations gui on the title screen because it was really boring (But now it's super cool! Go check it out!). Above all, the main purpose of this patch are the two new localizations. Patch v1.4.6 adds support for the French language and the Polish language! I know there's a lot of French and Polish nubby enthusiasts out there, so please give a round of applause to community volunteers Ophelia, Azis, and Bryhle for working together to produce the French localization and please give another round of applause to community volunteer Kacper Szłapiński for producing the Polish localization!
Before I get to the patch notes, I'd like to share three small updates on three upcoming NNF related things that I've announced in recent weeks/months:
-----
1. The steam community items and points shop items for NNF will launch on steam hopefully sometime this month! A few guest artists from the nubby community and myself have put lots of time and love into creating really cool nubby related illustrations for steam trading cards, profile backgrounds, emoticons, avatars, and more. This is just a fun thing that I've wanted to do for a while, and I think the nubby community deserves some cool nubby related steam items. I won't be sharing a specific release date for this, but you'll definitely be able to enjoy these features sometime this month unless something goes very wrong. I will make a big community announcement here and on the community discord server as soon as they launch!
2. The nubby stickers (art by me) and keychain merchandise are being manufactured and are still on track to be available for purchase sometime this spring / summer. See this news post if you'd like to take a look at the upcoming nubby merch. Again, I'll make an announcement here and on the community discord server as soon as they launch.
3. Nubby mobile is still set to launch on iOS and android devices on April 15, 2026! Tell your friends who like nubby! Tell your friends who don't like nubby!
-----
That's all I've got for now. Patch notes are down below. Thanks for playing!
Until next time,
~Mog
NNF v1.4.6 Patch Notes:
====================
Additions:
-----
-Added new sound effects and improved visuals to the localization selection menu (located on the title screen). I did this just for the sake of improving the user experience for the localizations selection menu because it felt kind of boring. Please just take 1 second to click on the localization button in the lower right corner of the title screen please, please. I spent way too long overdoing the menu and I think it looks sick and I need people to see it.
-Added French localization to nubby (credits to community volunteers: Ophelia, Azis, and Bryhle!)
-Added Polish localization to nubby (credits to community volunteer, Kacper Szłapiński!)
-Added Ukrainian localization for the NNF steam page (credits to community volunteer, Jikky Bytt!)
Fixes:
-----
-Fixed a few minor spelling/grammar/formatting errors within the localized game text for the Portuguese localization.
-Fixed a few null text translations on the Ukrainian localization.
Today I bring you patch v1.4.5, the third localization patch to hit the game. Unlike the other two localization patches that each added one language to the game, this one adds support for 5 (yes, 5!) languages!!! In this patch, you will find added support for the Italian, Catalan, Slovakian, Ukrainian, and Portuguese languages - all thanks to some very generous community members who have volunteered to help localize the game text! Huge shoutout to Alessio Pellegrino, Emanuele "Sergio" Sorge, Dinand83, Filip Viktor Babela, Jikky Bytt, Rocadinis, and cyb3rcrush1ng for completing your respective localizations!
In addition to the 5 new localizations, I also made a few miscellaneous gui changes that you can read about in the brief patch notes below.
That's all for now. Thanks for playing and thanks for reading! Many more localizations are currently in production and will be delivered in future patches. Lastly, as I announced last week - nubby mobile will be launching on iOS and Android on April 15th, 2026! Woohooooo!!
Until then,
~Mog
NNF v1.4.5 Patch Notes:
====================
Additions:
-----
-Added Italian localization (Thank you Alessio Pellegrino and Emanuele "Sergio" Sorge!)
-Added Catalan localization (Thank you Dinand83!)
-Added Slovakian localization (Thank you Filip Viktor Babela!)
-Added Ukrainian localization (Thank you Jikky Bytt!)
-Added Portuguese localization (Thank you Rocadinis and cyb3rcrush1ng!)
Misc. Changes:
-----
-Changed color of restart game button to flash red when hovered over to hopefully reduce the likelihood of a misclick.
-Replaced "nubby mobile coming soon" banner on the title screen with a "nubby mobile april 15" button that links to the recent steam page post with details about nubby mobile when pressed.
Today I bring you patch v1.44 for Nubby's Number Factory which adds support for the Danish language! There are many more localizations yet to come to nubby, but all in due time. This is the second localization to hit NNF, following the implementation of Brazilian Portuguese a few weeks ago. I'm very pleased with the efforts of all volunteer translators from the nubby community who have very generously sacrificed their time and energy to making nubby globally accessible. Thanks to Rapandrasmus for the Danish localization, and thank you to everyone who has volunteered/offered to volunteer for this responsibility.
Lastly, tomorrow (3/7/2026) is the first-ever Nubbyday! March 7 marks 1 full year since Nubby's Number Factory was released on steam! To celebrate Nubbyday, I am going to be making an announcement here on steam where I'll be revealing a couple very fun and exciting nubby-related things. These reveals are not game content related or nubby mobile related, but rather some upcoming things that myself and a few others have been working hard to put together for the true nubby fans. If you return here tomorrow around 1:00PM CST time zone, you'll find this celebratory announcement!
Until then, thanks for playing!
~Mog
NNF v1.4.4 Patch Notes:
====================
Additions:
-----
-Added Danish localization to Nubby! Tell your Danish friends that having the ability to read English is no longer completely necessary for playing NNF on steam!
Fixes:
-----
-Fixed several grammatical errors in the default English game text. Apparently I don't know the difference between "it's" and "its" as a 22 year old man and I made this mistake a lot. If you're good at identifying improper usages of "it's" and "its" and you find any more of these typos, please report any errors you find to me via email ([email protected]) and describe where they appear in-game.
-Fixed a few minor grammatical errors in the Brazilian Portuguese localization for the game.
-Fixed a few minor errors that were present in the Brazilian Portuguese localization of NNF's steam page.
Today I break my silence to squeeze out a small patch which fixes some minor bugs and introduces the first localization for NNF - Brazilian Portuguese! If you've got a Brazilian friend, let 'em know that today marks the beginning of Nubby's renaissance in Brazil! I'd like to give a huge thank you to NNF community member and talented translator, Frank Lopes, for the incredible volunteer work on NNF's BRPT localization + NNF's steam page BRPT localization. If you're one of the 5,213 Brazilians who have purchased NNF, I hope this addition elevates your NNF experience!
If you are a translator and would like to volunteer to translate NNF, please contact me via email ([email protected]) or via discord (@mogdogblog). Note that there are already translations in the works for Spanish, Russian, and Norwegian, Polish, and Swedish. Unless I specify otherwise in the coming months, these languages are already covered by community volunteers. If you'd like to provide assistance but you're afraid that the technical side of translating a videogame will be above your technical experience level, let me assure you that it's not as complicated as you think it is. You do not need a background in game development or programming to help translate!
One last thing before the patch notes! If you're here looking for news on nubby mobile, this post sadly contains none.... BUT if you check back again around this time tomorrow (2/20), I'm posting a newsletter here on steam that is primarily going to be about nubby mobile (plus some fun news for nubby mega-fans about something great happening on Nubby's 1-year birthday on March 7, 2026). Obviously, the wait for NNF's mobile port has taken longer than we were all hoping for and I haven't talked publicly about why that is for a few months. As a result, some valid concerns have been raised in the nubby community about the whereabouts of the port. I've been so busy working on NNF's mobile port and developing my next title that I have neglected to publicly share news about the mobile port, so for that I am sorry. To quell any of your nubby-mobile related fears until I post tomorrow's newsletter, I'll leave you with this: It is done, but not quite released yet. We are so close!
Thanks for playing and I hope you appreciate the patch, especially if you're Brazilian!
~Mog
NNF v1.4.3 Patch Notes:
==========
(Note: When you download and launch v1.4.3, there should be no version compatibility issues with the previous version (v1.4.2). In other words, if you were running the latest version on steam, you can load an autosaved in-progress run without running into problems. I cannot speak for versions that came before v1.4.2, so fair warning if that applies to you.)
Additions:
==========
-Implemented the Brazilian Portuguese localization for NNF's in-game text.
Note: To set your expectations for the new BRPT localization and for all future localizations - the vast majority of in-game text you will encounter is translated, but it will not be 100% comprehensive. Everything fundamental to actually playing to game is translated, so ideally a non-english speaker should be able to understand and enjoy the core gameplay just as much as an English speaker would. That being said, there are a few exceptions where text will remain written in English because of technical limitations and linguistic boundaries. These exceptions are:
A) Graphical/artistic text (e.g. the big, red "Nubby's Number Factory" title logo in the middle of the title screen)
B) Text that cannot / should not be translated (e.g. character names, names of people in the game credits, puns)
-Added the localizations GUI from NNF's demo to the title menu for localization selection. There is only English and Brazilian Portuguese available right now, but hopefully that list will be longer in the future. Hit me up if you speak English + another language.
Fixes:
==========
-Fixed bug where squid/mollusk item reappear if they're sold by the burglar peg while they're transformed into another item.
-Fixed a small visual bug that sometimes occurs when entering nubby mart where the freeze button fades into frame faster than the surrounding shop GUI. The freeze button fades in at the same rate 100% of the time now.
-Fixed a typo in the item description of the upgraded "Rubber Chicken+" item. The typo in question was a misspelling of the word "and". ("an" changed to "and")
-Fixed a typo in the speedy perk description where it repeats the word, "slots" twice in a row.
-Fixed a typo in the description of the cosmetic nubby skin, "Flutty Nubby". There was a missing "to" in the phrase "Now we have leave the costume on him (...)".
-Minor adjustment to the on-screen position of the achievements-disabled-warning-text for when a custom seed is configured on the gamemode menu
-Slightly adjusted vertical position of the text mainly. Purpose of change was to give localized text more wiggle room.
Other changes:
==========
-Updated the visual appearance of the "Cyborg Nubby" cosmetic nubby skin. The community member who was responsible for designing this skin created it over a year ago and was no longer happy with how it looked, so they revamped it. In my opinion, I think the new skin is an improvement and better represents what Nubby would look like as a cyborg. If you've unlocked this cosmetic and use it regularly, I hope you enjoy the makeover!
-Relocated the wiki/discord buttons on the title screen from the bottom right corner of the screen to the top left corner to make room for the localizations GUI.
Nubby's v1.4.2 patch is now live! This is a proper big boy patch and it fixes a ton of bugs - old and new. There's a handful of minor balance changes to supervisors and items in this patch as well. As always, you can read the patch notes below.
But first, I need to give a quick shoutout to an awesome nubby community member by the name of Seymour for helping me stay organized with bug reports and providing MANY fixes to some really stubborn bugs. With the help of our Seymour, this patch became the most comprehensive patch to ever hit the game. What an absolute mad lad.
NNF v1.4.2 Patch Notes:
===========================
Major Bug Fixes:
==========
-Fixed the infamous divide by 0 crash that sometimes occurs near rounds 200-250 in endless mode.
-Fixed the absolutely ancient bug where single low value pegs stick around into late game and never end up merging with anything.
-Fixed issue where if the current round goal is set to 0 due to reloading an autosave that crashed due to the div by 0 crash, your autosave will no longer be unplayable. (Though, this hopefully wouldn't ever happen anyways because the divide by 0 crash was fixed. This is a failsafe, just in case.)
-Fixed the bug where if you paused the game mid round, all timer-based items would break and become useless for the remainder of the round upon unpausing the game.
Small Bug Fixes:
==========
-Fixed bug where dwarf tony's supervisor voicelines were not affected by the sound effects volume setting.
-Fixed a crash that was caused by picking up an item in your inventory while the cafe nubby mouth was eating the soup crackers food item or the tartlard food item.
-Fixed bug where lobster and evil goose sometimes take away points when their respective item effects target #8-Quintillion-Pegs
-Fixed bug on nubby trials where if there is an evil item in slot #4 and you haven't unlocked slot #5, you could drag and drop a non-evil item from within your inventory to the right side of the slot 4 evil item, and the non-evil item you were rearranging could be placed in the locked slot #5. That was a mouth full and I hope that makes sense.
-Removed Asbestos item from "Pheebie Mode" challenge due to item effect conflict.
-Removed King Baby item from "Times Up!" challenge due to item effect conflict.
-Removed Penny Perk from "Short on Change" challenge due to perk effect conflict.
-Removed Mystery Box Perk from nubby trials levels 2,3,4, and 5 due to evil item spawns. This perk is still obtainable in nubby trials level 1.
-Removed Ouroboros item from "Balogna Tony" supervisor because no items can randomly have their trigger set to "pass goal ->" on balogna tony, which makes ouroboros useless.
-Removed Soup Crackers food item from "Plain Jane" challenge due to item effect conflict.
-Fixed issue where there was no cap to how many nuclear/unstable waste emissions - created by the "Uranium Rod" item - could exist at a time. This caused lag after a while. So, in an attempt to improve performance for uranium rod builds while maintaining their break-the-game fun, nuclear/unstable waste emissions will be instantly deleted when they're spawned if there's more than 256 nuclear/unstable waste emissions existing at a time. Similar idea to how there is a 256 count limit to how many nubby duplicates (spawned by the pregnancy test item) can exist at any given moment.
-Fixed minor visual bug where selling an item in your inventory when the "Holiday Cheer!" and "I've Been Robbed!" boss event title / description prompt is on screen will cause the half-transparent pegboard overlay to change color.
-Fixed a bug with the mollusk item (and mollusk+ item) where it could transform into an item that currently exists in your inventory (which it is not supposed to do), if the item is upgraded.
-Fixed a bug where if you eat the moldy sandwich food item (bologna tony supervisor exclusive item) and then eat a noodle, the noodle won't mimic the moldy sandwiches food effect like it's supposed to. This bug was fixed for both the non-upgraded version of moldy sandwich and the upgraded version as well. Now you can noodle your moldy sandwiches!
-Fixed bug where the squid item wouldn't transform into the item spawned by the mystery box perk if you had more than 1 copy of the mystery box perk.
-Fixed a visual bug with squid, squid+, mollusk, and mollusk+ where if you paused the game mid-round while these items had temporarily transformed and then unpaused the game, the squid/mollusk would reappear on top of the item it transformed into. If I had a nickel for every time I had to fix a bug caused by the squid's mischievous behavior...
Balance Changes:
=========
-For the Dwarf Tony supervisor, the infamous coal pegs appear in rounds about 50% less often.
-Buffed inflatable dolphin item and its upgrade: The confetti emitted by the beach ball / mega beach ball summons from the inflatable dolphin and upgraded inflatable dolphin items will now bounce off of the walls of the pegboard.
-Minor buff to broken socket item and its upgrade [TL;DR - Fixed a really old bug where broken socket chain bolts were misfiring. Fixing this bug gave a minor buff to broken socket and its upgrade because they are no longer misfiring.].
***In depth explanation of the note above: The issue was that the code for deciding where to create the first part of a chain bolt was always targeting the first peg popped (this was unintended remnant code from the old broken socket item effect). This was problematic for several reasons, but mostly caused when the first peg was fully popped before a chain bolt is created OR if the chain bolt is created before the first peg was popped via the mystery box perk. Both cases caused the brocket socket to get confused on where to create the first part of the chain bolt, resulting in the chain bolt never being created. The fix was removing the remnant code from the old broken socket item effect and changing it so that it targets a random non-fully-popped peg. I'm labeling this as a buff because now the broken socket item effect doesn't misfire and is fully functional. So in conclusion, if you ever thought to yourself, "Really? 25% chance to trigger? It feels a lot lower than that" - you weren't going crazy, it was in fact happening less than 25% of the time.
-For the CEO Tony supervisor only, removed early/mid/late game item odds distribution values for every item that can be obtained in nubby mart, black market, or cafe nubby. In other terms, when playing as CEO Tony you will have the same odds throughout the whole game to be able to find specific items in nubbymart, black market, cafe nubby. I made this change because his gimmick is that he starts out with 200 gold, which defeats the purpose of including this hidden shop item odds distribution system at all.
***For the note above, I should clarify that only a few items in the game are really affected by this. The most significant ones are E-Block, T-Block, All-Seeing Pyramid. All of these are dependent on you having other items to work and would normally be impossible to find in the first couple nubbymarts due to their item weight distribution. Except now if you're playing on CEO Tony, you'd be able to find those items in the early game nubby marts. The items I mentioned are just examples I made to demonstrate how this change affects the balance of the game. There are like 6-7 other items that are affected in a similar way.
-Very small nerf to the non-upgraded flaming skull item. Fixed a minor oversight where if you're on your last life, this item had a 50% chance to pop all pegs instead of the intended 40% chance. It now has a 40% chance to trigger, making it slightly less likely to trigger when you're on your last shot. Today is a sad day for non-upgraded flaming skull enjoyers...
Misc. Changes:
=========
-Renamed "Jelly" food item to "Jolly Jelly" because it was missed opportunity.
-Renamed "Hairy Fingore" to "Scary Fingore". Don't question it...
-While playing on the "Goblony" supervisor, the "Last Shot!" popup will now appear when you have 2 lives remaining, as well as 1 life remaining. This change was made because of this supervisor's -2 lives per shot rule.
-The "Holiday Cheer!" boss event title / description prompt now has a light blue colored pegboard overlay when it's on screen (as opposed to white colored)
-The "I've Been Robbed!" boss event title / description prompt now has an orange colored pegboard overlay when it's on screen (as opposed to white colored)
