About the Game
Congratulations, Comrade. The nation has entrusted you with a vital responsibility: keeping the army fed. Peel the potatoes, prepare the supply, and improve your operation in service of the greater good. Work hard, work efficiently, and remember: the army is hungry.
PEEL THE POTATOES
Your job is simple: peel the potatoes and get them into the water.
Pick them up, peel them by hand, and toss them in one by one.
FINISH THE PILE
Clear the pile and find faster ways to get the job done.
What starts as manual work gradually turns into a much more efficient operation.
AUTOMATE THE PROCESS
Turn repetitive work into a system.
Collect potatoes in bulk, use machines to process them, and automate more of the job as your operation grows.

HOTFIX 1.0.2
Potato Please - Update notes
Thank you, comrades, for your reports. This update fixes late-game slowdowns, keeps more of your work in your saves, and clears several ways a shift could get stuck.
PERFORMANCE
Fixed heavy slowdowns and crashes when peeled potatoes jammed the water channel late in the game.
Water now keeps potatoes moving more freely, and the last two channel speed levels are slightly faster.
SAVES
Machine hoppers now keep their potatoes when you save and load.
Potatoes in the vacuum tank are now kept in your save.
Potatoes in a bucket or wheelbarrow now return to the pile on load.
Fixed the wrong rank showing at the start of a new shift.
Fixed the storm's chill and the free flamethrower showing up early after starting a new game or loading a save from before the storm.
GETTING STUCK
Fixed an endless fall loop that could send you back into the air after a bad reset.
Fixed Unstuck leaving you without controls or HUD.
Fixed the HUD staying empty when loading a save after the ending.
Fixed pressing ESC during the opening black screen, which could freeze the game.
Master Peeler now completes with its reward once the quota is done. Saves stuck on this page recover on load.
The key potato now stays in place until you pick it up, so the vacuum or the puppy can't carry it off.
The supply drop now lands on the ground or snow and no longer gets caught on the crane.
PILE & MACHINES
The pile recount now starts when you buy the crane and runs every 6 minutes, or every 2.5 minutes with the autopilot.
The loudspeaker now announces every other recount.
The red "hold R" Repile badge has been removed. Repile is still available in the pause menu.
Sacks now pour into the middle of the machine hopper instead of tearing where they were caught. A full machine leaves the sack whole.
Holding E on a loaded villager crate now sends it instead of sacking its potatoes.
Fixed blocks of snow appearing inside the room after the storm.
SETTINGS & TEXT
New Accessibility tab with blood color and color blindness filter options.
Green, blue and purple blood colors are now brighter.
Muting the puppy now also silences its lost whine.
The Muscle Memory description now says that the last spots may need peeling by hand.
Rewrote the French T-34 bucket description.
LEADERBOARDS
Replaying the ending from a finished save no longer changes your shift time.
The global leaderboards have also been reviewed and updated. Invalid shift times have been removed. If your run was removed by mistake, send us a recording and we'll review it.
If you still run into problems, please use the report option on the Troubleshooting page. Keep peeling, comrades!
Hotfix 1.0.1
Thanks for all the reports, comrades.
This update focuses on the problems we saw most often after launch, along with a few quality-of-life and balance changes.
Saves & Ending
Finished saves can now replay the ending, so you don't need to start a whole new shift if you missed something.
A cleared yard now stays clear after loading a save, and finished saves no longer bring the snowstorm back.
Older saves are now backed up automatically before being updated to the new format.
Getting Stuck
Unstuck, Wheelbarrow, and Sack fixes in the Troubleshooting page now have a 60-second cooldown instead of 5 minutes.
The Repile button cooldown is also down to 60 seconds.
The pause menu now points you toward Troubleshooting if you get stuck.
Once crane autopilot starts, the pile is restacked every 3 minutes while you're not looking. This should prevent arches from forming and refusing to collapse. The loudspeaker will announce each recount.
Cut potatoes can no longer get stuck in the peeling machine hopper. They'll now roll back out unpeeled.
Fixed a couple of ways players could slip out of the room through the output channel or wall fan.
Controls
Fixed characters walking forward on their own, or WASD not working properly, when a steering wheel, pedals, flight stick, or virtual joystick driver was connected.
Fixed the duplicated controls list in Settings, which could prevent some keys from being rebound.
Invert Y now only affects the camera. Peeling, letters, darts, and other cursor-like controls will always follow your mouse or stick normally.
UI & Display
Fixed menus being cut off on ultra-wide displays.
Long translations now fit properly in Objective and upgrade titles.
If game data fails to load and menus or objectives appear blank, the game will now show a warning asking you to verify your game files through Steam.
Corrected the Wheelbarrow and Auto Rotate descriptions to match how they actually work.
Settings & Balance
Added a separate setting for hand shake intensity.
Added an option to mute the puppy. You'll still hear it cry if it gets lost.
Hard difficulty now uses Strict peeling instead of No Mercy.
Potatoes peeled by the puppy no longer count as machine output for quests.
If you still run into problems, please use the report option on the Troubleshooting page.
Keep peeling, comrades. 🥔
