Official update history
Patch 2.1.3 is now live!
This is another patch with even more bug fixes & optimizations. The game is now the most stable it has ever been!
2.1.3 Changelog
Archon / flying enemies fix: Flying Melee enemies now fly much more accurately when moving vertically.
Mod Maps: Baked lighting authored by the mod map authors is now fixed - back to normal. All Mod Map lighting variants should be working now.
Movement: Freeflow movement weird jitter is fixed.
Homing missile fixes ( easier targeting, slightly easier to handle while grabbed without exploding in your face) + energy bolts now blow up missiles on first hit
Virtual Desktop users: Left menu button press to pause the game + pull up game menu works now. SteamVR still swallows the input whole.
Camera tablet: Pausing the game doesn't pause the time counter anymore.
Menu upgrade: Enable Audio toggle added to settings menu. There was already a quick toggle disable button, but this version is clear with text.
PostFX sliders: Sliders and scene overrides can enable settings when using the slider.
Bloom will snap on if disabled, when user plays with bloom intensity slider
Valve index controller map restored.
Lots of other small bug fixes & optimizations.
We’re also VERY close to Update 2.2, which will add the new Tentacle Power Set, Map System, and UI Upgrade. (There might be some other surprises too….)
The goal is to release it by July 31st if everything is solid and bug free!
Hello Demigods!
We've upgraded just about every system in the game, improved enemy AI & ragdoll physics, added new post processing and times of day, optimized every script for performance, and added a new enemy type.
Combat!
A new enemy: Archon! This is our first dedicated Flying Melee character with all new attack animations. (and we're already working on more upgrades to flying melee for future updates!)
Enemy AI and combat in general has been improved in a number of ways. Better performance & detection, smoother attacks, and less physics weirdness.
Enemies now have a MUCH higher hit rate with melee attacks.
Enemies are better at navigation, coordinating movement with other enemies, and moving to accurate distances for attacking the player.
All enemy melee attacks now cause knockback on the player (If Player Knockback is enabled in settings) Basic enemies will only move you a little, but Giant Robot, Titan, and Archon will really move you. The stronger the enemy, the higher the force!
Insect Queen is now available in multiplayer. We've also improved her movement, animations, and attacks.
Visual Upgrades!
The game is looking SO much better with new post processing. (You can also disable or edit these in the settings for better performance)
Stretch power set: Giant Arms and Grow abilities are now scaled instead of instant. To scale the entire body, set both arms to Stretch Power, then double click and hold the Jump button. To shrink, tap the B/Y buttons as normal.
Web Lines: now bend and show slack when not at full length, and textures look better at a distance.
Performance improvements: we've reworked the traffic, pedestrians, and several sub-systems for better CPU performance overall.
Updated enemy menus. Less clutter, & easier selection.
Improvements
Enemies are now more accurate with combat distancing and melee attacks.
Archon is now more aggressive with attacks, and slightly harder to ragdoll.
Added new setting: Player Knockback Multiplier can be set from 0.1 to 3.0 for increased force on the player when hit with an enemy melee attack.
Added new setting: Strong Melee Attacks Can Cancel Powers. Explosions, Force Waves, and melee attacks from Archon, Flying Blaster, Titan, Giant Robot, Mecha, and Insect Queen now have a chance to cancel active player abilities when hit.
Added "Per Map/Time of Day" settings in the Settings -> Visuals menu. Now when you select a time of day for a specific level, you can adjust several of those settings, or override them to use the base game's Global settings.
Updated all times of day for all maps.
Disabled Tonemapping for Quest. It made everything too dark, and wasn't really doing anything since Quest builds don't use the HDR colors.
Minor performance optimizations.

Update 0.23 “Where is my Super Suit?” will be live soon! Here’s what’s new:
Mod Support 1.0
Avatar Mods are now possible in Project Demigod.
Weapon Poses can be created and set in the SDK, but some of them are still off. I’ll be releasing a hotfix for this soon.
Full, dynamic hand posing for climbable surfaces, enemy grabs, etc.
Release of “Project Demi-Mod”, the modding SDK. It is available on GitHub here. Instructions for using the SDK are here. I’ll create a video for instructions soon too.
Mod.io Integration with the Player Menu. It now has its own tab. You need to open this browser every time you start a new game session to load in your mods.
Future updates will have drag & drop mod support as well, for offline and Nexus mods.
If setup correctly, the modded avatars will also work with color customization and the Save System. Note that some avatars are all 1 material so it isn’t possible to customize every part.
PCVR mods and Quest mods are different, and will NOT work on different platforms. Be sure you create/build/download the right ones.
New Dive Mechanic (Experimental)
Player can now dive by looking directly at the ground and clicking the Right Joystick. Click it again to return to normal orientation.
Can be enabled/disabled in Settings.
New Manual Recovery Mechanic
With all of the crazy physics, acrobatics, and movement modes, the player body can get out of its normal orientation. Manual Recovery lets you return to normal orientation by bringing your left hand near your head and clicking the Left Joystick.
Can be enabled/disabled in Settings.
Future updates will include Mod Support for Maps, Enemies, and more.
Finally, a quick personal note: many of you already know that I was hospitalized a few weeks ago. I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder that causes waves of fatigue, dizziness, nausea, etc. I’ve been getting better with treatment, but it took a lot out of me, so I wasn’t able to work on the game anywhere near as much as I wanted. This update isn’t the most polished, and I’m sure some bugs will happen, but I’ll push a small update for the game in a couple weeks, along with improvements to the SDK.
Hotfix 0.22.1 is now live on Steam and AppLab!
With this update complete, I’ll be working on Update 0.23 and the first part of Mod Support: Avatars!
Change Log:
Fixed Fog Hills not working on Quest version.
Fixed Shooter Agents not firing due to timing issue.
Fixed turret and missile explosions causing FPS drops.
Fixed Web Targeting Reticles disappearing when on top of some objects in Procedural Levels.
Fixed a few doors in Tech Warehouse.
Disabled graphics in certain Tech Warehouse rooms until necessary to improve performance.
Fixed some rendering issues in Space Station.
Fixed avatar materials and added replacement for Blazing material.
Added Space Station to Map Interface.
Fixed Laser Vision and Double Hand Beam force on vehicles.
Increased Jump Boost when using Giant Arms
Minor bug fixes and performance issues.
Update 0.22 “Infusion” will be uploaded very soon!
Quick Release Notes:
Like previous updates, this update introduces a ton of small changes to different systems, as well as some new experimental features, so expect some bugs (especially with the Kunai Teleport ability and the Procedural Levels)
The new avatar materials add interesting effects for the avatar, but be aware that not all of them can have their colors changed, some only work on armor and not on skin, and the Texture Enabled option doesn’t affect them. (This is due to the nature of the shaders that create the effects.)
Advanced Mode for Wall Running can be activated by either Pressing the Jump Button while moving towards a wall, or set to Continuous for those who want seamless changes while moving. This can be changed in the Player Menu.
New settings have been added, including Web Power, Smoke Trail VFX, etc. Be sure to look through those.
I’ll be back at it soon and I’ll have a hotfix out later this week, and then I’ll be hard at work on Update 0.23, which will introduce the first supported Mods: Avatars!
So much more to come!
