Official update history
Dear players!
Today we're releasing the patch containing the next chapter of Saloon Simulator. This is the biggest update since the game launched in Early Access - the result of several months of work. If you haven't visited Blueberry in a while, now is a great time to catch up.
What's been added since Early Access launch?
Employee system (cook, waiter, cleaner & bartender)
Pickpocketing mechanic
Fistfight mechanic
Reworked train unloading mechanic
Reputation system - adding progression after finishing the story
Courtesan mechanic
Additional rooms to unlock and over 100 new furniture pieces and saloon decorations
What's arriving today?
To everyone who has been following the game closely and testing the latest changes - thank you, sincerely. You're what keeps us going day to day, and it's thanks to your feedback and ideas that Saloon gets a little better with each update. Here's what's just landed in the game.
New Story Quests
Take on new quests and find out who talked Cheyenne into learning to pickpocket, how hiring employees ties into the contract, why sometimes it's worth throwing a punch, and who came up with the idea of expanding the saloon's offer with certain... unique services.

Moonshining
When business is slow and your staff have everything under control, it might be time to pick up a second trade. Buy some apples, bottles, and the necessary equipment, and start producing your own cider. Cook, distill, bottle, ship, and expand your contacts. Let Blueberry be known by day for the finest saloon in the West — and by night for its finest distillery.

New Recipes & Ingredients
Some time has passed since the daring defense of the town in the previous chapter, giving Blueberry a chance to rebuild. The town is growing, and new ingredients are finding their way in. New vegetables and fruits, new cuts of meat, and a range of drink additions - including something as exotic as imported Curaçao. Brandy has also arrived, along with the so-called green fairy herself: absinthe. With these new ingredients, your bar will satisfy even the most demanding tastes, and every drink will feel like a wild ride through flavor country.

Voice Acting
We're very happy to announce that Chapter 3 quests will be fully voiced! Returning characters will once again be brought to life by the actors you already know, and two new faces are joining the cast - Bee Malik as Otto and Julie Wettstein as Lucy. Voice lines for your employees and courtesans are already in production - they'll arrive in the next patch.
Bug Fixes
Fixed customers getting stuck in rented rooms
Fixed a bug causing no customers to appear after hiring a bartender
Fixed customers getting stuck in the drink queue
Fixed customers getting stuck in the gambling room during rush hour
Fixed fistfights between customers not triggering correctly
Fixed some employees not leaving the saloon at night

What's Next for Saloon Simulator?
Our next patch is planned for June and will be a content update - bringing, among other things, full voice acting for all your employees. We'll also be updating our roadmap soon with the next stops on the way to the next major milestone: Chapter 4.
Thank you - truly - for every hour spent in Blueberry, every bug report, and every kind word along the way. Chapter 3 is our most ambitious update yet, and it wouldn't exist without your support. We hope it's worth the wait.
If you're enjoying the game, leaving a review on Steam means the world to us and helps more players find their way to Blueberry.
As always, please report bugs on our Discord or in the "Bug Report" thread on Steam Discussions.

Today, we can finally make it official: the mechanic we've been teasing for months is now available!
And with that, Lucy and her girls have arrived in Blueberry.
Courtesans
Gambling and drinking were already on the menu. Now there's a new sin to add to the list. Head upstairs and talk to Lucy... she'll fill you in.
Lucy and her courtesans significantly increase room rental income. Every customer who rents a room will be visited by one of them. If the customer gives in and lets a courtesan in, they’ll check out after just one hour while still paying for the full stay.
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42508967/6ca22fbd20e5c0575be61e93fdcbabd6fbe17389.gif
Each courtesan has unique stats that influence:
- The chance that a customer accepts her company's
- Earnings per room and other parts of your business.
- The risk of a brawl breaking out downstairs
Lucy
Lucy is the courtesan's madam. She works alongside her girls and excels at it. She’s also responsible for recruitment, customization, and managing work modes.
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42508967/c2176e6e6d28a07140caa2a1e06b5d3e835e865e.gif
In the next update, you’ll learn how she ended up in Blueberry and what keeps her there.
The talented Julie Wettstein voices Lucy. The remaining courtesans have already been cast and will be introduced alongside the employee voice update. Stay tuned for announcements about this milestone.
Courtesan Work Modes
Talking to Lucy allows you to set work modes for your courtesans. These modes can affect a bunch of things, from earnings and room turnover to even your cleaner’s workload.
Five modes are available now, with more to be unlocked in future updates.

Smaller Additions
A new "Temple" furniture set is now available in Earl’s and Addie’s shops. We’ve also added a volume slider for Robert’s piano. Alongside adding the courtesans we also rebalanced the room prices. Since courtesans significantly boost income from that area of the saloon's services, we had to bring the room prices down. Of course, we're continuously working on fixes for both major and minor bugs reported by our testers and by you all.

Relax to Some New Music
A great saloon deserves great music. We're happy to announce that we've recently started working with composer Alicja Krzyżak, who has taken on the task of creating a fully original soundtrack for Saloon Simulator. The first 7 tracks are already in the game. Enjoy! What’s Next?
In about a month, we’re planning the biggest update since the Early Access launch - Chapter 3.
It will include:
- new quests
- new characters
- the moonshining mechanic
More details coming soon.
If you’re new or returning after a break, we’d really appreciate it if you left a review on the Steam store page! It really helps us a lot.

I'll try to keep this post short because the fix is tiny, but very important:
Lucky Saloon fix
We’ve received a few reports about a blocker in the Lucky Saloon quest that could stop progression. We’ve just released a fix for it, so if you ran into this issue, please let me know if everything works properly now.
Crouching fistfight fix
We also fixed a (honestly pretty funny) oversight.Cheyenne didn’t reset his position after pickpocketing, which meant that if you were crouching while stealing… you’d also end up fighting in that same crouched position if things went wrong.
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42508967/1bb46faa6ddd1c1862fe26aec68309c9f8cd8311.gif
Endless Training Fix
After the train unloading update, some of you noticed that bonus experience for employees could push them beyond level 10. This caused an issue where employees above the intended maximum level (for example, level 15) would actually perform worse and make more mistakes than those at the default cap of level 10.
Behind the scenes
We’re now at an advanced stage of implementing quests for Chapter Three, and our voice actors have already received their scripts and started recording the next batch of dialogue.
In total, Chapter Three will add nearly 500 new lines for NPCs, followed by another large batch for employees and courtesans.
We’re working with some fantastic actors, and I’m really happy to have them on board.
A quick question
While working on the recordings, I started thinking about barks - those short reactive lines like:
“By golly! This drink is the bees-knees!”
In which situations do you feel there are too few of these lines? Where do they repeat too often?
We’ll definitely be increasing the number of positive customer reactions, but I’m curious if there are other areas that could use improvement. Let me know - I’ll keep it in mind for the next recording session.
If you encounter any new issues, please report them on our Discord or in the “Bug Report” thread in the Steam Discussions. It really helps us keep improving the game.

Today’s update focuses on polish and fixes. We also wanted to share a few things happening behind the scenes.
As mentioned in our previous devlogs, we’re currently working on the final two mechanics planned for Chapter Three:
- Courtesans' management
- Moonshining system
Important note: the moonshining and courtesan mechanics are not part of this patch yet, so you’ll need to be a little more patient before they arrive in the game.

This will be one of the larger mechanics in the game.
You’ll produce your own alcohol in the basement of one of the buildings. The process will include six different stations. You'll do everything from preparing the mash to shipping the finished product.
Our programming team has already completed work on the first four stations. Our artists are now preparing the final 3D models for the game.
What about the courtesans?
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42508967/0d4272f335cef9e387117b909b626ad7f0d02a57.gif
We want the courtesans to be some of the most colorful NPCs in town. This will be possible thanks to expanded outfit customization options. We're combining it with dedicated animations that capture their light and graceful nature.
Contest results

Many of you told us that the name “Courtesans” is clear and easy to understand, so we’ve decided to keep it. Thank you for helping us confirm that choice.
The winner of our contest is CrowMars, who suggested the term Scarlet Ladies. We liked it so much that we’ll definitely use it somewhere in the game’s script.
Congratulations, and enjoy your extra Steam key!
Balance changes and improvements
Today’s patch improves several systems already included in the game to enhance the overall gameplay experience.
The changes include adjustments to balance and overall game feel for both the pickpocketing and fistfight mechanics. That includes: new sounds, polished effects, player feedback, and better control.
Time to redecorate!
Spring is finally here! So we added the option to customize the windows in your saloon.
We’re also adding a new batch of furniture to the game. Visit Earl’s and Addie’s shops to see what they’ve prepared.
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42508967/fc1e2a1a491ae7f4078404a881c2cbc6cf4fe571.png
Look for items from the Timber and Longhorn furniture sets. Some of these pieces were already in the game, but we’ve renamed them so it’s easier to collect full matching sets.

Thank you, as always, for your support, feedback, and patience.
If you encounter any bugs, please report them on our Discord or in the Bug Reports thread in Steam Discussions - it helps us improve the game step by step.
