About the Game
You emerge in a cell, your head hurts and... you're not alone inside?
Split Brain is an asymmetrical cooperative puzzle game, where you and a friend share control of a single character, each with unique abilities and controls.
One player navigates the character while the other provides crucial information and guidance. Success hinges on effective communication and collaboration to overcome obstacles and avoid traps, guiding the character through Hexarture's prison.
The game must be played online and requires both players to communicate to each other.
Asymmetrical control
Within the same character, one controls movements, the other guides, you'll have to work together and communicate to escape Hexarture's prison.
Not just a prison...
To escape, you'll have to use your brains as well as your skill to face immersive and varied levels offering unique mechanics, challenges and thrills.
A mystery to solve
How did you get into this situation? Will you have to live together for the rest of your life? Don't be afraid to face the depths of your soul and find the truth.

A quick announcement, Split Brain has been verified playable on Steam Deck!
Why playable?
Because in the main menu, you can write your game nickname. This feature requires the Steam Deck's touch keyboard. Otherwise, once the game has started, it's 100% playable without the need for a keyboard or anything else.

A bug preventing connection between players on the new version of the demo has just been corrected.

First update of the Split Brain demo!
Thanks to everyone who tried the demo.
We're a small team of 2 developers, along with a sound designer and a composer, and we're trying to create an original and fun experience!
Don't hesitate to give us your feedback! We've opened a discussion in the community hub, and we're open to any suggestions for improvement!
You'll find below the list of additions and corrections for this update:
- When the game starts, the general music only starts at 75% of its maximum volume (your ears are important to us).
- Music and sound effects balancing revised
- Game controls are displayed in the first level, depending on the type of controller used (see images below)
- New screen on opening the game, indicating that voice communication is required (see image below)
- Level 2: modification of certain elements to make the guide view easier
- UI: modification of inventory display when several items are owned
- End of levels: removal of invisible walls
