About the Game
A peaceful land has been overtaken by the dark wizard Cormac. Countless horrors hunt and kill those who try to escape. It is up to Edward, the captain of the guard, to defeat Cormac and save the kingdom.
Your quest begins just outside the castle walls in the graveyard. The wizard waits for you at the tallest tower. Fight your way to the top of the castle and save the kingdom from Cormac!

As you climb to the top of the Keep, you’ll face zombies, vampires, and other creatures that lurk in the darkness. Use crossbows, shotguns, or even a rocket launcher to dispose of them!

Juliet, a sorceress loyal to the king (or maybe just a certain knight in armor) will assist Edward on his journey. She can upgrade your abilities and sell you items or even help you craft weapons!

The Bleakest Keep is a highly replayable game. Test your skills and earn ranks based on your performance. Challenge yourself by aiming for higher ranks and faster times as you climb the Keep and defeat Cormac! Completing some challenges will unlock new outfits for Edward and Juliet!

Changes
Changed A rank requirements for all survival mode characters and levels to be easier.
The final wave of the graveyard level will spawn faster and 3 regular zombies have been changed to fast zombies for all characters but Edward.
Edward's castle rooftop level has reduced stronger enemies.
Edward now has a faster movement speed in survival mode.
King Eadgar now has a higher chance his melee attacks drop ammo in survival mode.
Changed the chances of Gwen appearing from a 50% chance to a 70% chance after defeating Cormac at least once, and also made what usually blocks the path to Gwen more visible so it is more noticeable when it is no longer blocked.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the parry special attack not working correctly in survival mode when using unarmed or the heavy sword.
Fixed Juliet's heavy projectile sometimes not working. There is also no longer a cooldown, after a successful block Juliet's next melee attack will launch a projectile no matter how long ago she blocked an attack.
Fixed being able to enter enemy spawn areas in survival mode.
Enemies won't be able to reenter their spawn areas in survival mode.
Fixed enemies acting strange by some of the stairs in the dungeon survival mode level.
Fixed the invincibility on the roll paunch attack.
Fixed King Eadgar's first person view not using the correct animation.
Fixed hearing footsteps after being defeated in survival mode.
New
Added Vsync to the graphics option menu.
Updated the character model viewer to include some animations for a few characters and also change Juliet's emotions. Queen Elenid's model now also shows her weapon which can be toggled on and off.
The bosses, a few enemies, and outfits are not longer automatically available from the start. The outfits won't show unless you unlocked them, and the bosses won't appear unless beaten and some enemies won't appear until reaching a certain point. All models can be unlocked by either getting 10 game overs or beating Cormac 3 times.
I realized it was a bit of an oversight that showing these things in the model viewer was a spoiler and I don't want someone who first plays the game to open the model viewer and spoil themselves.

Changes
Throwing Knives special attack rework.
The throwing knives special attack functions a little differently now. Generally I am avoiding nerfing things, but the throwing knives were a bit too strong. There was also a bug that was making them even better.

Bug Fixes
Moved a few misplaced barrels.
The intro cutscene should hopefully not drop frame rates as much.
Bug Fixes
One of the hidden coins had a duplicate coin of the same value nearby, which could cause confusion on how many coins were destroyed. This duplicate coin is no longer a problem.
Moved a floating object.
Sorry for the pretty annoying bugs involving inputs.
This latest patch should finally fix these issues. Please let me know if any of these problems remain.
Fixed getting stuck when asked if you want to pick up a weapon or not.
Fixed not being able to pause the game
Fixed rocket launcher not destroying the hidden coins.
(Already fixed in last patch but rebinding keyboard controls correctly updates again.)
Changed King Eadgar so he doesn't jump back as often.
If you're running into any cpu heating issues, I recommend locking your frame rate.
Hopefully this should fix some of the problems!
