Deliver valuable cargo, gather, craft and survive
Surviving is key! Forage and hunt for supplies and materials to mix food and tonics for your horse. Plan your routes wisely to avoid damaging vulnerable cargo or endangering your trusted steed. Prepare your horse and your equipment to weather harsh environments and conditions. Only then can you survive the untamed Mongolian wilderness.
Use your bow and arrows wisely
Start crafting powder pouches and special arrows to survive the dangers of the Mongolian wildlife. Archery is deeply entrenched in Mongolian culture, and it will be yours to master. However, your bow and arrows are not only weapons, they are also tools. Different arrows and powder pouches are used for gathering resources, defending yourself from dangerous wildlife and mindful hunting.
Improve your skills and master the challenges of the open world
Take on various activities and thrive as a Yam courier rider. You will be tasked with delivering packages and cargo, gathering vital items, and mastering the challenges of the open world. Quests will test your capabilities, requiring the right steed, excellent riding mastery, and thoughtful planning, as well as skillful resource management, useful crafting, and keen archery to survive and succeed.

Hello Everyone!
We've just released our next hotfix for you all! This hotfix includes a whole bunch of crash fixes and fixes for missions not finishing, as well as making sure you can talk to the cartographer! You can see exactly what's in this patch below:

Fixed a crash related to wolf spawning

Known issues:
Some missions still say “Delivery to INVALID”. Will be fixed in the next hotfix update.
GPU related crashes. These are very high prio for us and we will tackle them soon.

We're updating the beta with a number of fixes and improvements based on the feedback we've received so far. We've made a number of improvements to taming to make it an all together less fiddly experience, and changed it so that when you tame a horse, the map opens to show you where it's gone!
We've also dialled back the wolves a touch, so they won't endlessly respawn and chase you into oblivion! Alongside that there are the usual bugfixes, which are only possible due to the way you all report things to us! As always we want to thank you all for the help!

Improvements
Various small improvements to the taming experience
The map now opens automatically after sending a tamed horse to the stable
Taming guidance is now displayed dynamically when needed, making the process clearer
Taming has been rebalanced to feel easier and more approachable
Bug Fixes
Foals are now born after 24 in-game hours instead of 4
Fixed an issue where collect missions could break if the player already had some of the required items at mission start
Added shelter areas in villages to prevent wolves from attacking you there; increased the sheltered radius around autosave gongs and nomad camps
Fixed the bridge improvement interaction at Nuuryen Khot Village
Added a temperature safe-zone around horse spawners and reduced Naraa's movement speed penalty on difficult ground to make taming easier
Fixed fire challenges not being extinguished by spirit powder arrows and pouches
Potentially fixed a crash caused by wolf spawning
Fixed an issue with horse spawners having inconsistent delays while waiting for navmesh to load
Other Changes
Wolves no longer respawn near the player when the player has moved far away, which previously caused an endless hunt
Increased the radius of shelter zones for autosave checkpoints from 5m to 10m

We're releasing a hot fix for the Daybreak Update which fixes a bunch of issues which you've been reporting, including a fix for an issue some of you have had when buying horses from the merchant, where he would take your money and not hand over a horse. It also fixes Strength Training not applying properly.
The horses purchased are now back in the merchant's inventory, and you can safely purchase them from him again. We're afraid there's no way for us to refund the money he took from you, please direct all complaints at him.

We've just released a hotfix to you all which fixes a bunch of bugs and issues we saw introduced in the recent Daybreak update.
This patch fixes the issue some of you have encountered with your horses being missing, as well as the bug which severely limited the gain you were getting while training endurance. We've also fixed an issue where pristine cargo was deteriorating when it shouldn't be, so hopefully you'll find those missions less of a pennance now!
Here are the full Patch Notes for this update:
Fixed missing horses in stables after loading a savegame.
Fixed wrong item weight calculation when trading.
Fixed flashing health bar.
Fixed that pristine items randomly deteriorates without apparent reason.
Fixed a rare startup crash caused by incompatible savegame files from the kickstarter playtest.
Fixed that the rest-menu incorrectly displays 60 instead of 00 minutes.
Fixed that heatstroke and frostbite UI effect were offset from horse indicator.
Lowered requirements for endurance training to activate.

We're updating the Beta today to fix a couple of issues we've seen people having, primarily with the build up of horse poop and an issue when loading into this version with an older save (from 0.6.4 or before).
Patch Notes:
Fixed another instance of savegame data being lost when loading a save file from version 0.6.4 or older
Dung spawned by your horse will now despawn after some time to avoid potential performance issues
Fixed wrongly scaled gender icons in the horse lineage overview
Fixed some landscape issues

Fixed an endless loading screen issue
Fixed that sometimes after loading a saved game, the horse is completely gone (The solution we found: we take one horse from some stable and assign it to the player. Hey it might be the wrong horse, but it's still better than no horse at all right? Your horse will be at your stable don't worry ❤️)
Fixed a crash that occurred in the loading screen
Fixed some issues with dismounting near water
Fixed that canceling the resting action breaks how time works
Fixed that some blessed tonics did not work

Good Day Riders!
Patch 0.7.2 has been released and fixes a number of bugs, introduces a new save system, interacting with the horse merchant no longer cause to game crash, and includes many other bug fixes that provide a smoother gaming experience.
New Save System
We've implemented a new save system, which you can see in the video below - it allows you to save manually at various points on the map by shooting (or walking past) the gong!
Thanks again to everyone who sent us bug and crash reports, as well as general feedback! We’ve read everything, and thanks to your, we’ve been able to identify and fix numerous issues!
We'll be continuing to bug fix and polish the game for the time being, but we'll be talking more about our plans for Early Access in the near future!
Full Patch Notes:
Gameplay:
- Implemented visual, interactive save checkpoints that show when auto-saving happens and can also be shot to save manually. Gooooonnngg. Discovered checkpoints are now also shown on the map.
- Resting now also triggers an autosave.
- Achievements "Shrine of the Ancients" and "Money to Burn" now activate appropriately.
- Removed time based degradation of cargo except for items that are labeled as perishable.
- Update to breeding balancing, relating to bonuses and max attribute averages.
World & Environment:
- Interactive save checkpoints were placed all over the map.
- Environmental improvements to the northern and north-eastern side of the map, including for navigation and level design.
- Fixed that Ovoos cannot be cleared a second time.
- Fixed that Ovoos aren't applying fog in their area when resetting.
- Fixed several floating rocks and torches.
Mission & Progression:
- Fixed being unable to close the "Mission Complete" screen.
- Fixed being able to accept Cartographer missions multiple times.
Horses:
- Fixed horse merchant only offering starter horses. (Finally investing in new horses after taking our money, huh?)
- Fixed multiple horses spawning in stacks.
- Fixed horses spawning/strolling in water and swimming further in.
- Fixed being unable to mount the horse in some locations.
- Improved horse behavior on stone bridges.
- Fixed an issue where you were unable to give your horse a stamina item

UI & UX:
- Added map icon for discovered save checkpoints on the world map.
- Updated the icon for autosaving.
- Fixed that savegame slots show last-saved timestamp in wrong time zone.
- Fixed that savegame slots without an active mission were labeled as "new game".
- Fixed crafting screen displaying failed craft as if it succeeded.
- Reverted premature descriptions for new training triggers, a future update will introduce them properly.
Controls:
- Fixed active item collection HUD remaining stuck when rapidly pressing "E".
Visual & Art:
- Potential fix of horses appearing bright/glitched in previews.
- Fixed river textures at shores.
- We are 95% sure that the super glitchy horse previews are now fixed. If it still happens maybe do not tell us because it will make our Lead Technical Artist cry. (Still tell us though please)
- Performance:
- Globally disabled the GPU Ribbon feature on AMD hardware to fix performance issues during rain storms.
- Updated PSO Shader Cache Bundle with new shaders to prevent PSO hitches

We've just released a small hotfix Patch which fixes the issues with the Horse Merchant causing crashes or only selling the starter horses.
Thanks so much to everyone who reported these issues, we're only able to fix them so fast because you do!

It's patch day! We've just pushed another patch live, and it fixes a huge number of bugs, and has some rebalancing around cargo degradation and rain damage.
We'd like to thank each and every one of you for the reports and feedback you've been giving, we've been reading it all and the bug reports have allowed us to identify and fix so many issues!
We'll be continuing to bug fix and polish the game for the time being, but we'll be talking more about our plans for Early Access in the near future! Without further ado, here are the (chunky) Patchnotes for 0.6.3:
Gameplay:
Rain damage on water sensitive cargo has been halved.
Improved active item collection.
Removed the unused tame interaction from wild horses (for now!).
Fixed attribute updates not correctly applying to foals.
Fixed contextual tutorials sometimes not triggering correctly.
Removed time based degradation from all cargo items except perishables.
Preventing active item collection during dismount.
World & Environment:
Updates to general environment for navigation.
Added three new Blessed Locations.
Removed floating rocks in the south side.
Fixed strange terrain and rivers at far western side.
Fixes made to certain rivers and horses will now drink from them (e.g. near Tov).
Adjusted bush collisions to make them less obstructive.
Mission & Progression:
Fixed a blocker in the "Buy Horse" mission after courier rank-up (also repairs affected save games).
Fixed an issue where Jetei did not check the player’s inventory before handing over the Stele (and you won’t receive Roza, yet, until that’s done).
Fixed that cargo items don't get removed when abandoning a mission (also fixes save games where it happened).
Players can now complete the missions “Up The Mountain” and “Restoration” if they were blocked due to never receiving the required stele. After receiving Roza San or talking to Altani, you will either receive a stele, or get an objective that requires you to make room in your inventory.
Crafted saddle bag upgrades are now useable.
Horses:
Fixed being stuck on foal introduction screen after animation freeze.
Fixed tether often not working.
Fixed horses’ scared eyes not always appearing when spooked.
Fixed horse preview models becoming stuck in reference pose.
Fixed genitalia models for Ferghana and Akhal Teke horses.
Disabled Nanite on horse meshes to resolve shading issues.
Prevented spawning of additional horses around the player when loading a savegame.
Fix horse care abilities not being cleared while on horseback.
Fixed starter horses being offered when loading a save where main missions are cleared.
NPC & Characters:
Increased the coin amount available to horse merchants to 20.000 (He got all your money after all…).
Removed Oyun from Stable Management after swapping to horse Roza.

UI & UX:
Update to borders of inventory items to clarify the type (e.g. orange border for cargo items, grey for resources, ...)
Fixed the “Use Item” action popup not opening in some situations.
Fixed max strength values displaying incorrectly in the horse overview.
Added scrollbars for expanded inventories to prevent UI elements from going off-screen.
Fixed the mission UI element not expanding correctly when a new mission was triggered.
Fixed an issue where the collect item prompt stayed on screen indefinitely.

Fixed inverted axis settings not being applied to aiming.
Fixed crafting and merchant menu focus reset when hovering scroll bar.
Fixed that movements stop while using items during gallop (like a bandage).

We're updating the Legend of Khiimori with a new patch, which will fix the issues with both selling and buying horses from the Horse Merchant, fix the issue with Bridge projects not completing and also fix the issue where players are unable to craft Nomad Kits! There are a bunch of other changes, which you'll be able to find in detail below!
But we're not done! We're going to keep working on fixing the issues we've seen in the launch version of The Legend of Khiimori and then we'll be pushing into the unknown lands of Early Access, adding more features to the game and polishing what does exist!
We also want to thank each and every one of you who has played, reviewed the game, passed us feedback or bug reports, or even ranted to their cat about us! The launch has been amazing so far, and despite a few stumbles, we're only excited to see what's on the horizon!

Fixed several crashes, including a Crash during the Foal Reveal

We'd also like to note: There's a known issue with the Foal Reveal at the moment, which seems to be triggered by trying to skip the scene (you monsters!) - For the time being, to avoid getting locked in the screen, please don't skip the scene!
