Though she casually says “what a coincidence,” it almost feels as if she has been waiting for you in this vast forest all along… Yet phrased that way, it might sound a little self-absorbed—maybe it really was just a coincidence.
But on that fateful day, she made a single wish: to leave the castle. Following a butterfly into the forest, she returned only to find her kingdom shrouded in black mist, transformed into a living hell. There was no time to grieve—an inferno soon devoured everything she had once called home.
From that day onward, Kallen’s smile vanished. In its place remained a sharpened scythe… and a heart consumed by vengeance.
“Pray for your own safety—I won’t save you twice.”
Turning away, she disappeared into the darkness—her only purpose now to hunt down the mysterious figure she glimpsed within the flames that day, even if it means severing her own emotions.
For Fouco, life as the Demon Lord was nothing but endless drudgery—24 hours of routine: meetings on “advancing the modernization of the Demon Army under the New Era,” evaluations of destructive operations, and bureaucratic oversight of her underlings. She grew weary of it all.
Abandoning her throne, she thought she could finally live a carefree life as a wanderer. Yet her successor, Rahabe, plunged the land into a reign of darkness—forcing Fouco into deep regret for her choice.
Now, to atone for her mistakes and to end this unending war, she must fight as the former Demon Lord… against the Demon Lord herself.
“I see… one step after another, a thousand miles in the making… Hero, you’ve truly thought this through.”
Naturally, Fouco found her destined Hero—for she had already glimpsed countless futures where this Hero defeats Rahabe.
Unwilling to waste her life in petty quarrels with mediocrity, Sartre severed her ties and abandoned her post at the Ninth Research Institute. What she needed was vast, uninterrupted time—time to calculate, to simulate, until she could complete the ultimate Genesis Grand Magic.
“You’ve caught my attention. From now on, you’ll be my research subject!”
…And yet, some new curiosity always seems to steal her gaze. The road to her great magic remains ever long.

As the youngest agent in the Griffin Intelligence and Countermeasure Department, Green Roland became a highly anticipated rising star. However, during a mission, an "accident" left him severely wounded, and when he regained consciousness, he received notice that he had been dismissed from the military.
No one knows exactly what happened that day. Green Roland still roams the streets as usual, but today he has a new identity and a new goal.

Dear Adventurers,
Following the last update, we've completed another round of fixes focused on narrative consistency — with special attention to the experience of adventuring alone or without certain companions. Thank you for all your feedback!
Blockers / Soft-lock Fixes
• Fixed an issue where, after loading a Lone Wanderer save and entering a stage, the captain slot could display a character who hadn't joined your party, causing subsequent dialogue to break
• Fixed a battle on the Lone Wanderer route that had no failure outcome, which could leave you stuck after losing
• Fixed a soft-lock in the Metamorph commission where the quest could become impossible to continue when all relevant options were locked
Story / Consistency (Main Focus)
• Greatly improved the "an off-screen companion speaks out of nowhere" issue: for solo play or when a companion is absent, we've added proper presence and dialogue checks across many chapters and side-routes, so characters who aren't present no longer suddenly appear or speak
• Fixed the jarring moment where players who hadn't seen the "hanged corpse" storyline were abruptly confronted with a related confession later on; the scene now branches according to what you've experienced and adds proper set-up
• Fixed cases where, after choices such as robbing, rescuing, or staying out of it, the story wrongly cast the protagonist as a "saviour" or gave them a similarly mistaken identity
• Fixed several continuity slips of the "met you before yet doesn't recognise you / shouldn't be present yet shows up" kind (reuniting with Elin at camp, contradictory lines after sharing a campfire, the alley fight with or without a sword, and more)
• Fixed scenes such as the wanted poster replaying when it shouldn't
• Fixed some skill-check screens showing a target or attribute that didn't match the actual check
• Restored a number of story segments and foreshadowing pay-offs that previously couldn't be triggered, making side content more complete
Text / Display
• Polished character dialogue and corrected numerous typos and inconsistent names
• Continued improving the English and Traditional Chinese localisation, and proofread story voice lines

This update fixes a number of issues affecting gameplay and includes several improvements. Thank you for all your feedback!
Critical Fixes (Progression Blockers / Black Screens)
· Fixed an issue in the "Sword in the Stone" side quest where the "Look at your companion" option would loop endlessly, preventing players from exiting and blocking main story progress
· Fixed a black screen freeze after clicking "Resolve Battle" in a specific encounter featuring Green
· Fixed a severe bug where one of the protagonist's skills could incorrectly reduce their own max HP to 1
Combat
· Fixed Lilith's counterattack incorrectly triggering when allies (rather than Lilith herself) were attacked while she is in the party
· Fixed visual and effect issues with certain skills and icons for Green and Sartre
· Corrected multiple skill description errors (shield values, crit rate percentages, extra line breaks, etc.)
Story / Progression / Saves
· Fixed an issue where, after failing a quest or running out of stamina and returning to the Guild, the game would still show "Event in Progress," preventing players from advancing to the next day
· Fixed the day-transition animation lingering on the map after leaving the Tower of Babel without fighting
· Fixed an occasional issue where a character was marked as recruited but did not actually join the party / their portrait did not refresh
· Improved the flow of the final battle sequence: companions not in the party no longer "speak out of nowhere," making the scene more coherent
UI & Controls
· Fixed the save prompt being triggered accidentally during dialogue
· Fixed the "Display Mode" toggle in Settings not working correctly
Text & Localization
· Fixed character names / equipment names / dispatch names displaying incorrectly after switching languages
· Fixed isolated story voice-over display issues and English text errors
Improvements
· Polished and refined story text for better flow and readability

We have just rolled out a patch. Here is what it fixes:
Key Fixes
• Fixed a critical issue on the solo route where the fishfolk seafaring event could leave your save unable to progress. If your save was stuck at that event, simply reload after updating and you will be able to carry on.
• Fixed an issue where Lilith's skill could fail to trigger under certain circumstances.
Other Battle Fixes
• Fixed several battle issues where skill effects did not match their descriptions (damage values, shield values, buff targets and the like).
Thank you all for your patience and your reports — every single one gets looked into. If anything still misbehaves after the update, do let us know in the community discussions or the comments; a screenshot and a note about your save will help us track it down faster.

🛠Bug Fixes & System Optimization
I. Story & Dialogue Fixes
Fix the issue of incorrect scene jump after successfully obtaining the ring.
Fix the incoherent logic and wrong order of Ander's lines.
Fix the bug that after meeting Karen first and triggering the Black Robe Man storyline, the Karen-related nodes in the thinking system disappear and are replaced by the Black Robe Man.
Fix the black screen issue caused by scene jump and auto-save loading when the judgment fails after selecting \[Find a hiding spot by yourself] during Fouco team entry.
Fix the abnormal scene jump when no option is selected after the countdown ends upon choosing \ when Lilith goes to the bookstore.
Fix the missing retreat button in the Shadow Tale Monster Suppression stage.
Fix the issue that stamina recovery, supply count reset and team leader switching fail to take effect after retreating in the Investigate the Weird Land stage and passing an in-game day.
II. Quest & Flow Fixes
Fixed the issue where the Shapeshifter Quest occasionally triggers cooking directly.
Fixed the bug where the cooking interface occasionally appears during main story progression.
Fixed the incorrect transition image displayed after the first battle ends on the front line when traveling to the port.
Fixed the issue where the quest \[Wilson's Speech] could still be triggered after completing the Expedition Questline.
Fixed the problem where choosing \[Do Not Return the Parcel] upon meeting two adventurers before creating a Guild caused the subsequent \[Do Not Return the Parcel] storyline to fail to trigger properly.
Fixed the issue where the ending failed to trigger normally on Day 57.
III. Combat & Visual Fixes
Fixed the issue where enemies take no actions at all in the battle on Day 48.
IV.Stats & Attribute Fixes
Fixed the beginner sword given at the start not granting the +20 attack bonus when equipped.
Fixed reputation not changing after triggering some of Wilson's dialogue options.
Adjusted Shadow Tale Monster Suppression stage to disable manual saving.
V.Other Improvements
Improved the stability and validation of certain story nodes, reducing abnormal transitions and black screens.
Optimized mutual exclusivity logic between quests and story events, preventing repeated triggers and narrative conflicts.
Fixed the issue of failing to return to the guild interface after certain map events end.
Optimized to allow normal manual saving after clearing story stages.
