Fixed a bug in the \[SIDE QUEST] Help the Ye Siblings Wield Jade Spears where the game could sometimes get stuck after defeating Mu chi at the training ground.
Fixed a bug in the \[SIDE QUEST] Flowing Circulation that could cause the game to get stuck after accepting the quest.

Fixed a bug where Elemental Toxin Trill was not applying 3 stacks of Frost/Ignited/Poisoned effects.

Baidi Sword Spirit Lv.5: Fixed a bug where the counter effect only triggered Lv.1 Teal Water Swordplay. It will now always trigger the Lv.10 version regardless of the skill’s current level.
Resolute Stoneform Lv.7: Fixed an issue where the Authenticity Unveiled effect incorrectly reduced the user’s own defense.
Repelling Staff Technique Lv.7: Corrected text to reflect actual values (10% bonus damage, 5% damage reduction). This was a text fix only — skill effects remain unchanged.

Fixed an issue where the "Thrust" and "Cleave" skills from the Heavenly Sword technique were mistakenly identified as "Second Form" and "Ultimate Form" during Mirage Realm challenges.
Resolved a bug during the Wujia's Past storyline where completing the Martial Arts Tournament side quest did not unlock its corresponding Codex entry.
Fixed a visual glitch where battlefield effects from the Six Paths of Demonic Might would linger after use (note: did not affect functionality).
Clarified the Level 10 effects of all Yin-Yang Division throwing weapon skills in their descriptions to include the Mastery increase. (This is a text update only; the actual functionality remains unchanged.)

Fixed a bug where the "Grandmaster Friend" achievement would not unlock after fully upgrading Bu Weiyue’s meridians.
Fixed an issue where, at level 5 of Hegemonic Spearplay, the effects of Foresight and Formidable Defense would not continue stacking if there was only one turn left and the character was standing still.
Fixed a bug where Ouyang Xue would not receive three items during sparring when the Toxicant Pendant was in her inventory and the inventory expansion had been unlocked.
Fixed an issue where having duplicate quest items for "The Eight Immortals' Artifacts" would cause the related quest to be accepted multiple times.
Fixed an issue where failing to perfectly complete Pili School would prevent unlocking the side quest "Vib Daox's Assassination" in the Archive.
Fixed incorrect descriptions for some newly added fish in the fishing manual.

Increased the batch limit for forging, tailoring, alchemy, cooking, trading, and using items to 1000 per action to help prevent crashes.
Attempted to improve issues where the battlefield may display abnormal visuals (e.g., screen tearing, black screens, or white screens). You can reduce the likelihood of this happening by disabling the “Ultimate Skill Effects” option in Settings → Other Settings.

In New Game+ runs, you can now skip all ending cutscenes and proceed directly to results.
Appointment reward for choosing the paper fan route has been updated to match the iron fan route.

Important Note
If you’ve installed any mods in your game directory previously, this update may cause errors or prevent the game from starting due to mod incompatibility.
To resolve this, please uninstall any mods you’ve added:
Go to your game library → Right-click Wandering Sword → Manage → Browse local files → Delete everything under Wandering_SwordContentPaks.
Then, verify the integrity of the game files and restart the game.
If Steam is unable to update the game, try deleting the steam.cfg file in your Steam folder and restart Steam.
Note: As of Jan 1, 2024, Steam no longer supports Windows 7 and Windows 8. If deleting steam.cfg doesn’t work, please verify your operating system version.

BUG FIXES
Fixed a bug where mistakenly accepting a Daowei’s Quest would cause players to miss the 'Silk Feast' quest line.\[For players who are in the process of advancing to Disciplinary Disciple in the main quest, have completed the prerequisites for 'Tales of the Martial Arts Families', and have already done 'Myriad Shots', after the update, please head to the area near the Wudang Sword Trial Platform. The erroneous quest will be automatically removed and replaced with a new ‘Daowei's Request’ Quest.]
Fixed an issue where the item 'Jade Sculptor's Strike Manual Fragments' had incorrect text descriptions and could be used on teammates other than those of the fist type.\[For players who have already used it incorrectly, please go to Blossom Trail on the world map. The mislearned 'Jade Sculptor's Strike' will be automatically removed from the teammate, and an 'Incomplete Jade Sculpting Manual' will be returned.]
Fixed a bug where Bu Weiyue would not appear after leaving the team and moving to Immortal's Crossing.\[For players who have already had her leave the team, please go to the Immortal's Crossing, and Bu Weiyue will automatically appear.]
Fixed a bug where some side quest might fail to trigger.\[Mo Wen only needs 90 Affection to survive. For players stuck at 80 Affection due to the bug and who missed the quest, please fill up the bug report sheet here: bug report form]
Fixed an issue with the Immortal's Crossing pirate insider quest where obtaining and using the quest item ‘Ambergris Sachet’ too early would prevent the next stage from triggering.\[For players already stuck in this quest, you can now interact directly with the next-stage NPC without needing the sachet.]
Fixed a bug in 'Silk Feast' quest line where, if the protagonist learns the skill ‘Supreme Blaze’ and chooses the romance route, Yao Ji might fail to comprehend the 'Chaos Martial Codex'.
Fixed a bug where the 'Astral Shrine' was incorrectly displayed in the Inheritance Library interface.
Fixed a bug in ‘Secrets of the Eastern Sea’ where, after defeating the Yin-Yang School, players who met the teammate requirements could not trigger the campfire event with their teammates. Players who have already completed the quest will unlock the corresponding Codex entry after the update.
Fixed a bug during the 'Jade Dragon Roar' stage of the main story where, if Lü Xian'er had already learned 'Pearflower Spear - Ultimate', the subsequent story events (including the ending cutscene) would not progress correctly.
Fixed a bug in the Codex where items under the item category were incorrectly shown as unlocked even if they hadn't been obtained yet (visual issue only, does not affect actual progress tracking).
Fixed an issue where the skill 'Mistveil Wave Dance' did not trigger the Level 7 effect during the first turn.
Fixes an issue where the Level 7 effect of Five Balances Sutra sometimes failed to trigger in Real-Time Mode.
Fixes an issue where the quest icon did not appear above the constable's head when the quest The Pirate Insider was available.
Fixed an issue where the 'Master of Fist Techniques' achievement would not unlock correctly.
Fixed an issue where the skill icon for 'Skypiercer Thrust' had the wrong color.
Fixed an issue where entering the pharmacy in Pingkang City could mistakenly trigger the cutscene of first meeting Bu Weiyue from the 'Eastern Sea Pearl' storyline.
Fixed an issue where the 'Century-old Legacy' quest from 'Secret of The Eastern Sea' was not properly closed after entering the Southern Chronicles main storyline.
Fixed an issue where the Master of Yin-Yin-Yang School's Max Qi value was incorrect.
Fixed an issue where Shangguan Hong's outfit was incorrect during the gatekeeping cutscene with Sima Ling in the Southern Chronicles main storyline.
Fixed an issue where Lu Xian er’s outfit was incorrect during the battle against Yuan forces at Xungu Pass.
Fixed an issue where the dialogue with the Sweeper Elder beneath the Jade Pavilion stairs could still be triggered after completing the 'Silk Feast' event.
Fixed an issue where the Ye siblings could possibly overlap at the He Pu Manor training ground.
Fixed an issue where the character portrait in the character menu would not update when changing outfits.
Attempted Fixes in This Update
Attempted to fix a bug where the protagonist’s outfit could not be changed after completing the side quest in Leijia Village and the main story flashback in Liao City.\[If the issue still occurs after the update, please fill up the bug report sheet here: bug report form]
Attempted to fix an issue where the story event might not trigger when heading to Jinglong during the main quest 'Meeting in Jinglong'.
Attempted to fix an issue where the story event might not trigger during the side quest involving the visit of the Four Martial Arts Families to Pingyang Fortress.
Updates and Optimizations
Added a treasure chest to the Immortal's Village scene. Players who missed the night-time chest can now obtain the 'Nine-Region Scrolls' at the same location during the day.
Optimized the sandbox combat in 'Tales of the Martial Arts Families' quest. The victory condition for the fifth battle on first entry has been adjusted—now the follow-up story will trigger after surviving approximately 2 to 3 turns.
Enabled the Observe, Gift, Spar, and Inquire options for Mu Ai at He Pu Manor. You can now obtain the 'Skypiercer Thrust' manual by sparring with her.
Optimized the learning conditions for 'Resolute Stoneform' — the protagonist can now learn this martial art by inquiring with other characters.
Optimized the dialogue conditions for asking Qingxu, Yuanjue, and Mu Haitang about Master Qingyun. As long as the prerequisite quests are completed, these conversations can now be triggered any time before the Southern Chronicle main quest, and can be triggered simultaneously without conflict.
Optimized the Level 4 effect description of 'Instant of Infinity' by adding a clarification: this effect will overwrite any existing 'Instant of Infinity' effect to last for 3 turns.(This is a text-only change and does not affect the actual skill behavior.)
Additional Notes
In the update on the 19th, the Mount DLC effects were revised. After purchasing the Mount Expansion Pack, all mounts in the game will receive a scene movement speed bonus of +300 and a world map movement speed bonus of +1000. They will also come with the 'Confusion Incense' effect, preventing monsters in dungeons from actively pursuing the player. (Mounts included in the base game have a default movement speed of +150 in scenes and +750 on the world map.)
All Codex entries marked as DLC will no longer count toward overall Codex completion progress.
If you have installed any MODs in previous versions of the game, the update may cause compatibility issues, preventing the game from launching properly or causing errors during gameplay. If you encounter such issues, we recommend uninstalling any installed MODs (go to your game library, right-click on "Wandering Sword", select "Manage", then "Browse local files", and delete all contents under the path Wandering_Sword\\Content\\Paks). After that, verify the integrity of the game files and try launching the game again.
If Steam is unable to update the game, you can try deleting the steam.cfg file in the Steam directory, then restart Steam and check for client updates.

Fixed an issue with Shangguan Hong's sword dance CG animation behaving incorrectly on Nameless Isle
Fixed a bug where Bu Weiyue might have abnormal stats when joining the party; affected save files will now auto-correct after the update
Corrected several typos across in-game text
Fixed a bug where players could ask Tang Tong about the Face Spider even during older main questlines
Fixed a combat animation error when using the Jade Dragon Spear with the Wudang appearance
Fixed an issue where players could unlock the Qingyun's Legacy without meeting the proper requirements
(Previously, unlocking the Tianshan Sect's Legacy would incorrectly also unlock Qingyun's Legacy—this has now been fixed)
Updated the skill descriptions for certain sandbox abilities to better reflect their actual in-game effects
Fixed an issue where the "All Is Mind" (万法唯识) weapon in the Tier A reward chest on Mirage Island Floor 7 had no forging attribute
Players who obtained the incorrect version can place it in their inventory and return to Mirage Island; it will be auto-replaced at the entrance
Fixed an issue where equipment rewards in Mirage Island under the “8 Modifiers” Nightmare extension lacked max-tier stats
🌊 Secrets of the Eastern Sea DLC (v1.24.23) – Additional Notes
The June 19 update added Baidi Sword Spirit, a new exclusive skill for Sima Ling
If you had previously completed the full compendium, you can now re-claim the full skill reward by unlocking this new entry
To unlock: Complete the \[MAIN STORY] Shadowmere Marsh and trigger the gatekeeper cutscene with Shangguan Hong and Sima Ling
If you’ve already completed this part, simply spar with Sima Ling and save your game to unlock the skill
Fixed a bug from the Echoes of Ash and Dust version where 100% damage immunity (with no HP loss) would be mistakenly treated as an evasion
Adjusted the text description for the Level 7 effect of Three Enclosures' Force to match its actual in-game effect
