Official update history
we've just released Patch 1.1.1 on Steam!
This update includes a wide range of performance improvements we implemented for Constance's upcoming console release on May 1st (Switch, PS5 & Xbox Series X).
It also restructures how the game's files are bundled, which will decrease patch sizes in future updates.
Here is the full list of changes (more technical this time, as this update does not include new gameplay features):
Patch Notes 1.1.1.17398
- Migrated asset management to Addressables. This should significantly reduce patch sizes going forward, as assets are now split into smaller packages. We no longer need to repackage the entire game (including all textures and SFX) when making small changes.
- Tons of improvements to memory allocation and overall performance across the game
- Game no longer crashes on GPUs without compute shader support
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to freeze on some PCs when taking a Snapshot
- Fixed Joker death VFX triggering when defeated outside of its vulnerability phase
- Fixed PuppetHand StringAttack damage
- Additional minor bug fixes and translation improvements

Hello everybody,
It's been a minute!
Today we can finally share with you that our first big update for Constance just went LIVE!ːsteamhappyː
Let's start with the Patch Notes:
Full Arabic language support included
Various Map improvements including exact tracking of Constance's position within a room, visual indicator of areas discovered with the camera, player trail that shows you your travelled path, some improved room shapes, a new zoom function for the local map and exact Snapshot positions within the map rooms
Intro, Credits, Cutscenes & Narrative Minigames can now be skipped with a new pause menu
New Cursed Game Mode (unlocks after beating the game and serves as our game's "hard mode")
New Overthinker Modifier (our game's "permadeath" modifier - you only get 1 life!)
Chase Sequence: Camera has been unlocked, players can now outrun the boss
Chase Sequence: Level design adjustments for fairer timings and less frustrating moments
Jester & Jester Encore: players can now attack ALL cards in ALL patterns to damage the bosses
Jester Encore: Cards are no longer invisible, patterns were improved
Lord Koba: Timings and some attacks were improved
A variety of other bosses were improved in terms of timings, awkward pauses and anticipations (i.e. High Patia now communicates properly that she heals while hanging from the ceiling)
Added a UI element that communicates better what is actually happening at Jackie's tent
Added a completion screen at the end of the game
Various new accessibility options
Various difficulty and economy balancing adjustments
Various bug fixes
Various smaller performance improvements
We've been working really hard on improving the game as much as we can, incorporating
as much of your feedback from Steam, Discord and socials as possible.

Hey everyone,
Today our second Patch for Constance is going live!
We fixed the most pressing bugs you reported to us and already started with some map improvements. (More to come!)
When buying the Architect's Blueprint item from the shop you now get a visual indicator on the levels on your map that communicate if all secrets/collectibles have been found in a room.
Here are the full patch notes:
Level-based completion tracking added to the map (unlocks via "Architect's Blueprint")
Fixed the "Inner Canvas" achievement (if you qualify, load into any save to receive it)
PC local time shenanigans no longer break savegame loading
Snapshot button is now rebindable on controller
Fixed a bug where Jackie's quest stayed incomplete even though you had all rewards (talk to her again if that's the case for you)
Fixed a bug where Palettus sometimes glitched through the door, causing a softlock
Broken savegames are now properly ignored during load
A handful of additional fixes
In just a few days we will also release our "Post Launch Roadmap" for Constance so you are aware about the things you can look forward to in the upcoming months.

Fixed black screen when starting a new save file on some devices
Fixed videos not playing on some Steam Decks
Fixed Minimap not being rebindable on controller
Unstable Bubble no longer travels with elevators
Prevent paint clone pogo cheese
Lord Koba softlock fix
Fixed softlock in Journal when exiting during certain popups
Violin Flashback improvements (feedback for ending notes early, button prompt fixes)
Fixed spelling errors
Disabled code stripping (relevant for modding support)
A bunch of additional fixes and tweaks here and there
