Hi Chefs,
We've just released a major update for Cooking Simulator 2.
This update introduces one of the most requested features since launch, expands character customization, improves assembly and kitchen interactions, adds a large number of tutorial improvements, and delivers another round of performance optimizations and bug fixes across the game.
As always, thank you for all the feedback, reports, videos, and suggestions. Many of the changes below come directly from community feedback.
Customer Wiki

One of the biggest additions in this update is the new Customer Wiki.
The wiki allows you to track discovered customer preferences and learn more about the guests visiting your restaurant.

View progress for each customer
See how many preferences have been discovered compared to the total available
Customers with all preferences discovered will now receive a special golden appearance
To ensure compatibility with existing save files, previously completed customer preference quests will automatically unlock the corresponding preferences when loading older avatars.

Now instead of having the icons, you can have the instructions for your cooking in a simpler, much more readable form.
To enable it simply navigate into Settings, and in General Tab you'll see an option to select it:

We’ve just released a new hotfix focused mainly on tutorial improvements and fixing progression blockers for new players.
Tutorial Improvements
We made several changes to improve the flow of the first tutorial day and make instructions clearer:
• Added a red outline and mentor message when fries are oversalted during the tutorial
• Tutorial progression is now blocked until 4 correctly prepared portions of fries appear on the assembly station
• Changed the order of tutorial steps on assembly
→ players now need to place all fries before moving to the mayonnaise step
• Disabled the ability to pick up spawners during the first tutorial day
• After assembling a dish, players can no longer return to assembly during the tutorial
• Added additional polish and improvements to the first tutorial day
Fixes
• Fixed several tutorial blockers
• Players can no longer create additional orders during the tutorial

Patch #2 is now live.
This one brings a mix of performance improvements, gameplay updates, and a lot of fixes across different systems. As always, thanks for all the feedback so far. It really helped us decide what to focus on next.
Features & Improvements
• Improved memory usage in the shop
• Added option to start a solo cozy home-only game
• Improved save system performance
Especially when overwriting existing saves, which should reduce autosave stutters
Player progression UI performance improvement
Sandbox & Gameplay
• Added option to toggle automatic incoming orders
• Added option to manually spawn customer groups using the bell
• Added hover feedback to the bell
• Added autosave option in the player apartment
• Added ability to pin a blueprint in the assembly dish selection screen
• World space pings no longer show when the player is not looking at them
• Updated customer behavior
New groups now appear when there are no active orders
• Adjusted maximum height of ingredients that can be placed on a pan
Dish Rating Changes
We made adjustments to how dish ratings are calculated and displayed:
• Missed
• Poor
• Decent
Decent+ for meeting at least 2 preferences
• Good
Good+ for meeting at least 2 preferences
• Excellent
Excellent+ for meeting at least 2 preferences
• Perfect
Perfect+ for meeting at least 2 preferences
• Masterpiece for meeting at least 4 preferences

• Fixed issues with the Spicy tag on assembly plates
• Fixed order queuing issues
• Fixed pouring liquids from carton spawners into smaller containers
• Fixed incorrect thermal tags appearing in blueprint simulations
• Fixed loose product visuals in containers
• Fixed Golden Fried Seafood recipe flow
• Fixed Nuts and Grains tag not appearing when coming from seasonings
• Fixed flip interaction showing on non-flippable ingredients
• Improved colliders for multiple ingredients and portions
• Fixed liquid level visualization in spawners on clients and after loading
• Fixed yellow zucchini collider and spawner behavior
• Fixed banana interaction issues
Added proper spill color, flipping, and updated spawner label
Performance & Network
Minor network performance improvements for ingredients
Minor network performance improvements for audio
Improved performance for pickable objects
Reduced network load in several systems
Improved network usage for order data

• GN containers no longer move toward hands when inserting ingredients
• Adjusted interaction logic for handheld blender with pots

Hi Chefs,
After a series of hotfixes, It's time for the PATCH #1.
This one focuses on fixing some of the issues, improving clarity, and cleaning up a lot of smaller things across the game.
As always, thank you for all the reports and feedback. It’s been a big help in figuring out what needed attention first.
UI & Quality of Life
We’ve made a few changes to make things clearer, especially around dish evaluation:
Added an extra button in the dish rating screen so it’s more obvious that you can open the detailed breakdown
Dish rating tiles now change color depending on the result
→ inedible dishes will now clearly show as redReworked how the progress bar works so it’s more consistent visually
Cleaned up and unified the texts in the dish evaluation screen
Replaced the infinity symbol in text with a proper icon
Gameplay & Systems
Fixed mixtures resetting after kitchen upgrades
→ bottles and mixtures should now keep their contents properlyFixed issues with placing boxed ingredients on surfaces
→ this includes items like milk, stocks, passata, cream and similarFixed a bug that could cause ingredients to process way too fast
→ this could also lead to strange results with flavors and soup colorsFixed the “Raw” tag appearing incorrectly on plated mixtures
Fixed chef belt slots not unlocking properly after kitchen upgrades
Adjusted fridge placement areas so items no longer appear to float
Sandbox / Relax Mode Updates
Some features previously available in sandbox/relax mode have been expanded and improved:
New sandbox options:
→ Infinite time to complete orders
→ Infinite duration of the day phaseAdded the ability to skip phases at any time
→ You can now move to the next phase even in the middle of the current one
→ This option is also available in career modeAdded Extreme mode option
→ Keeps the restaurant constantly full for a more intense experience
Fixes & Technical
Fixed repair tab not opening in some cases
Fixed the wall fire extinguishing system
Fixed issue with refreshing the progression panel in the player’s apartment
Fixed an issue where disconnecting a controller during the day summary allowed access to settings, save, or load, and returning would incorrectly resume gameplay instead of the summary, causing a blocker
Fixed incorrect evaluation of seasoning amounts in dishes containing mixtures (e.g. salads)
→ This issue could also affect other values, but was mainly visible in the UIFixed incorrect thermal visualization for dishes containing deformable ingredients
Cleaned up a number of unnecessary memory allocations
General stability improvements
Additional fixes to animations and interactions
Visual Changes
Updated some product icons to better match their models (for example spring onion and romaine lettuce)
Fixed naming issues across a number of ingredient spawners
Cleaned up naming and consistency across many items (cheeses, meats, spices, vegetables, etc.)
Improved visuals for processing actions like blending, mixing, coating and mashing
→ added a wooden board icon and adjusted positioning
Recipe Adjustments
We’ve gone through a number of recipes that were causing confusion or incorrect ratings:
Fried Egg with Potatoes
→ removed the requirement to serve water after boiling potatoesCurrywurst
→ simplified the recipe and fixed incorrect evaluationPork Ribs
→ improved how seasoning worksYellow Curry
→ fixed cases where the dish was marked as inedible
→ reworked the recipe and added blendingGreen Curry

Added a requested functionality for returning ingredients to spawners - NO MORE MISTAKES WITH TAKING WRONG INGREDIENT - Just press "Q" and put it back where it belongs!

Fixed a rare case where a player couldn’t assemble a dish after loading if it was previously handled by another player
Fixed an issue where chopped ingredient containers (GN) sometimes didn’t show fill levels correctly

Optimization of heat sense and spoilage sense systems
UI performance improvements, including optimized input hint allocations
Shortcuts & Menu Access
Added shortcuts for quick access to key panels:
• Blueprints (B)
• Day Menu (M)
• Orders (O)
• Quests (J)
• Changed the player list shortcut from B to G to avoid conflicts
• Added Wooden Spoon to first-day shop purchases made by Mentor
Bug Fixes
• Fixed issue where the “Spiced” tag did not appear after adding the required seasoning
• Fixed issue where the “Meat” tag did not appear in dishes containing meat
Soup-related fixes and improvements
Added small tolerance for ingredient and seasoning amounts before triggering errors - Previously, differences as small as 1mg could cause issues due to rounding
Added mixture type localization on container hover
Fixed inconsistencies in flavor compared to blueprints in blended recipes
Updated soup quest logic
Improved cooking state logic for ingredient cells
Cooking state now changes only when temperature increases
Fixes issues such as croutons becoming “cooked” after being added to hot soup

Fixed accepting orders via the Orders app
Pinned orders in chat now display correctly
Fix for client joining host (rare cases)
Fixed day phase multiplier calculation
Stats Manager
Fixed how quests are saved and loaded
Quest progression should now persist correctly after loading a save - Note: previously missing data cannot be restored in older saves
Optimization for ingredient pieces
Fixed Pineapple Pieces hover issue and BBQ Cheeseburger recipe problem:
Updated localization for Pineapple Pieces
Fixed BBQ Cheeseburger recipe so Emmentaler is sliced correctly
Fixed multi-seasoning not working on stackable ingredient slices
Fixed ingredient data pool using incorrect thermal capacities
