About the Game
Choose fabric, arrange and cut out patterns, sew garments and add decorations. Dressmaker is a cozy simulation game where every part of making a dress is under your control.
Whether your pattern is aligned to the grain or cut on bias, how you choose to arrange and cut out your fabric is what appears on the final dress. Take full control over what fabric to use for each panel of your garment.
Feed your fabric through the sewing machine to stitch it together.
Decorate your dress with buttons, bows and appliqué. Add lace trims and other accessories wherever you like with complete creative freedom.
Meet a whole town of people hoping to fill their wardrobes with custom-made dresses tailored specially to important events and their individual tastes. Create dresses to impress them, or display your own designs in your shop window and sell pre-made dresses off of the rack.
Buy from a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, linen, wool, silk and velvet.
Design and colour your dress in your sketchbook, adding fabric samples and appliqué.
Arrange and cut out your dress pattern, preview them on a mannequin and sew them together.
Turn in your dresses to your customers to gain both reputation and coin.
Pet the kitty.

Dearest Dressmakers,
This is another small patch, mostly focusing on some UX improvements.
Improved UX to show that the component names are clickable in sketchbook
Mouse wheel should no longer rotate panels in cutting room when mouse is over inventory
You can now change the thread colour in the sewing scene (by clicking on the spools)
Hovering over a panel in the inventory now displays a hint for where it goes on the mannequin
Fixed a softlock in the tutorial when clicking the sketchbook before the bell
We'll be continuing to fix bugs and improve UX.

Our first Dressmaker patch has arrived!
Big thanks to all of the day one players that assisted us with your feedback and bug reports, which have already been super helpful.
Our first patch includes:
Fix for mouse cursor sometimes going invisible in the cutting room tutorial and not coming back
Enable 'back' button during store tutorial
You now need to ring the bell to summon the next customer
Fix some lace trim items not being tagged as such
Fix for failed commissions not giving money (if the character accepts the commission, you should be paid)
Fix single keyhole bodice
Fix for shop buttons not responding on ultra-giga-unnecessarily wide aspect ratios
No bugs. Breaking the game now would be bad, so I didn't put any bugs in the update. trust
