About the Game

Eight-Minute Empire, by Ryan Laukat, is a quick Civilization/Exploration game using card-driven area control.
In Eight-Minute Empire, 2-5 players take turns selecting a card from the six displayed. This card gives the player a resource and also has an action that the player takes immediately. Actions help players take over the map, but the resources are worth points at the end of the game, so players have to balance the two aspects. Players spread across the map in order to collect points at the end of the game by having majority control in regions and continents.

Eight-Minute Empire is a super-quick area control game requiring tough decisions. It’s easy to learn and perfect for when you only have a few minutes.

Long story short - we're streamlining our operation, legally speaking, from our end and we had to add Acram Digital Sp. z o.o. (which would translate to Acram Digital Ltd.) to our privacy policy.
Once you launch the game, once the update goes through that is, you'll be faced with a pop-up message about just that. If you continue past that message you will have conceded to our new updated Privacy Policy.
But as I have mentioned, nothing apart from this addition has changed in it, so do not worry!
Should you be interested, you can read our Privacy Policy HERE.

Good news! Per popular demand, we introduce a rework to the Online Play in Eight-Minute Empire! Its goal is to improve the quality of life during online play by adding some much asked for features and functionalities.
The changes are as follows:
- Asynchronous play - an inactive player will be removed by the server after 48 hours without making a move. No more unfinished games limbo!
- When creating a room a maximum amount of players can be set.
- The games will start automatically once the maximum amount of players is reached. The creator of a room no longer has to manually start the game.
- Synchronous play - the timer has been reworked. Now a player will be removed from the game only if they go offline (willingly or due to a disconnect) for three minutes.
- Fixed a bug that caused some players not seeing certain rooms from the Open Rooms list.
- Soon - possible cross-platform online play with the Nintendo Switch players (27.08.2019).
