Howdy Golfers! We've just released our second Hotfix for the May Quality of Life update! This is a smaller hotfix that fixes a couple of bugs that were present in the Quality of Life build. Read the patch notes below for more information.

Bug Fixes
\[Speed Golf] Fixed a bug where the timer only worked for the first player in local multiplayer (Hotseat), while all subsequent players had their timer incorrectly set to 00 : 00 : 00 without updating.
Fixed an issue where the Host AFK timer was incorrectly applied to “Friends”, “Password”, and “Invite Only” lobbies. Inactive hosts in these lobby types will no longer receive the “Host Timing Out” prompt or be kicked from their lobbies.

Course creators! Thanks for your feedback on the Quality of Life update!
We have now released a hotfix that fixes an issue that was causing certain Level Editor assets to disappear in Custom Levels. This issue has now been resolved, and any assets that were missing from custom courses are once again visible and interactable.
Please note:
If you have not edited or updated your custom courses in the Quality of Life update to replace the missing assets, you shouldn’t need to do anything further to fix your courses.
If you have edited your course since the Quality of Life Update to replace the missing assets, those original assets will also reappear. This means both the original and replacement assets will now be present in your level.
Reappeared assets in updated courses will be set to a default scale of \[1,1,1], as their original scale data was unfortunately lost during the previous update. These assets may need to be rescaled or re-rotated as needed.

Golfers! The Quality of Life update has arrived for Golf With Your Friends!
This free update focuses on improving areas of the game that have been requested by the community! It also contains a wealth of bugfixes, to make your golfing experience even better!
Make sure to read the full patch notes below!
Additions
- Previously seasonally exclusive customisations have been re-enabled into the loot pool!
- Several cosmetics that were previously unavailable on consoles are now unlockable!
- The new Change Hole setting has been introduced! When enabled, select the Change Hole option from the pause menu to choose any hole on the course to play, including those that have already been completed. How many holes you play is up to you!
- A new Ball Spike feature has been added! This feature is enabled by default in Dunk and can be enabled for all game modes.
- A new revamped Practice Area!
- Handbrake can now be enabled for all game modes.
- Turbo Charge can now be enabled in all game modes.
- The new Total Time scoring system for Speed Golf uses each player’s total time across all holes for scoring, instead of using individual hole finishing positions.
- New Random Course Filter added.
- Host autokick has been implemented in online areas, presenting a prompt to hosts who give no input for two minutes. A further 30 seconds is given to dismiss the prompt before the host is kicked and the lobby ownership is passed to another player, who is prompted to inform them that they are now the host.
- Can now customise which powerups can spawn during games.
- Players now have the ability to hide the score feed.
- Players now have the option to enable or disable the in-game chat feature as per their preference.
- The selected Course name now displays on the in-game Leaderboard.
Level Editor
- Course Lighting has been added! Players can now customise the lighting in their course by modifying ambient and directional light settings.
- Object groups are now supported. Add multiple objects to a group to allow them to be moved, scaled, and rotated together!
- New placeable water flow variants have been added.
- Objects are now highlighted when they are selected, which improves the user experience by making it easier to differentiate the selected object from others.
- We have added some additional easy wall builder assets to the existing options.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed several bugs on different courses where various objects and some visual effects did not pause their animation when pausing the game.
- Some changes were made to the game’s Profanity Filter, where several words were incorrectly censored.
- A bug was fixed where the profanity filter didn’t correctly censor words enclosed in quotes.
- Fixed an issue where, if the player held the ‘ESC’ button during the course loading screen, the level introduction screen could be interrupted.
- An issue has been addressed regarding the Gamma and Ambient Occlusion settings, which were not functioning as intended before.
- Fixed an issue that caused the game to stutter for players after they sent chat messages in an online multiplayer game.
- An issue was addressed where, if the player switched tabs in the customise menu using a controller, the item highlighted by the cursor would be applied to the ball, overriding the player's selected choice.
- Fixed some issues where, when the player’s puck was shot with high power, it could clip through certain objects and barriers on some holes.
- Fixed an issue where our free-standing goalie on Hole 18 went missing. Good news—he's back in his rightful spot!
- Fixed some visual issues where some objects across the course had some black marks on them.
- Fixed a bug where the water visuals on Hole 5 did not align with the water volume.
- Adjusted the position of some objects on the course that were unintentionally floating in the air.
- [Bouncy Castle] Fixed an instance of unintended invisible floor collision on Hole 5.
- [Bouncy Castle] Fixed a visual issue where an out of bounds water texture would render above the basketball hoop’s net when viewed from certain camera angles.
- [Bouncy Castle] Fixed a bug where the player could fall through the floor on Hole 15.
- [Bouncy Castle] Addressed an issue where the Fireworks SFX were triggering before players reached Hole 18.
- [Bouncy Castle] Fixed some issues where some areas of the course had some lighting anomalies when playing on Medium Texture Quality settings or lower.
- Fixed multiple instances of clipping objects across the course.
- Polished up the metallic and smooth qualities of certain materials to help soften the contrast and lessen the harshness of lighting in spots that seemed a bit too bright.
- [Corrupted Forest] Fixed a bug that caused certain seams to display pink at the connection point of two barriers on Hole 1.
- Fixed a visual issue where the ‘US Military Helmet’ had some texture gaps.
- Fixed an issue with the ‘Disco Ball’ sticker appearing too dark on the course.
- Fixed a problem where players could fall under the map if they shot the ball into the wooden obstacles on Hole 13
- Resolved a visual issue where purple bars were incorrectly displayed as bright magenta when viewed beyond the draw distance range.
- Fixed an issue where the Hockey and Dunk goal tiles on Hole 3 would appear slightly raised above the course floor.
- Fixed a bug where the player puck could clip through some course barriers when shot at high power.
- Fixed a collision problem with a misaligned ramp collision on Hole 15.
- Fixed some issues where the player’s puck could clip through certain objects and course barriers on some holes when shot with high power.
- Fixed an instance of flickering barrier texture on Hole 13.
- Fixed some bugs where certain object types across the course were missing their collision.
- Fixed some minor problems where multiple instances of plants visibly clipped with different objects.
- Fixed some instances where the player ball did not get reset when coming to a stop in certain out of bounds locations.
- Fixed a bug where curse boxes could not be activated on Hole 5 when playing with the hockey puck ball shape.
- Fixed various instances of flickering bounds when playing on different modes on the course.
- [Peaceful Pines] A bug was fixed that caused certain assets on several holes to disappear when the player camera was positioned far away while playing on Low or default Level of Detail (LoD) settings.
- [Peaceful Pines] Fixed a bug where the flag indicator wasn’t visible in active gameplay.
- [Pirate Cove] Adjusted a barrier on Hole 7 that appeared very dark.
- Fixed an issue with occlusion culling on Hole 17, where the goal tile and all its content would disappear when the camera was rotated to a certain angle on the final platform.
- Resolved a visual bug where the Flagpole on Space Hole 13 seemed to vanish when viewed from below.
- Some of the lighting around the course was adjusted to reduce brightness in areas that were previously overexposed.
- [The Escapists] Fixed a minor bug where a texture was missing under a ramp on Hole 15.
- [The Escapists] Fixed some flickering texture issues that were present across the course.
- [The Escapists] Fixed multiple instances across the course where certain objects were lacking or missing collision.
- [The Escapists] A bug has been fixed that previously left the flagpoles on the course without flags and unresponsive to the player's ball nearby.
- [The Escapists] Fixed some instances where certain objects had the incorrect sound effect applied when the player ball collided with them.
- [The Escapists] Some minor lighting and texture improvements were implemented in certain locations of the course
- [The Escapists] Fixed a couple of bugs on Hole 3 and Hole 4 where the player could fall out of bounds and not be reset.
- Fixed two instances of flickering objects on Hole 10 and Hole 18.
- Some lighting adjustments were made to certain assets across the course to appear more consistent and intended. These adjustments should also minimise issues that previously caused some distortion in the player ball light.
- A bug was fixed for some specific terrain tiles on Hole 12, which had the incorrect sound effects and collision properties.
- Fixed a visual bug where a root was clipping through the goal post on Hole 13 when playing in Hockey mode.
- Fixed a bug where multiple out of bounds objects across the course were missing collision.
- Fixed an issue where, if the player traversed a portal whilst in Free-cam mode on Hole 18, the camera would be teleported out of bounds.
- Fixed an issue where the floors across the ringed portions of Hole 18 appeared slippery in comparison to other course floors, which caused unexpected ball behaviour.
- Fixed an issue on Hole 16, where the puck could bounce back when shooting into a specific spot on the side of a ramp.
- Fixed a problem where, on Hole 4, the player’s puck could clip through some boxes placed along the gravity wall.
- Fixed some issues where some barriers didn’t always have collision when hit at full power when playing with the player hockey puck ball shape.
- Fixed a problem where the player could clip into a corner wall and become stuck on Hole 5.
- Fixed an instance of invisible collision on Hole 16 along a particular wall.
- Corrected some instances of missing seams and textures on the course.
- A bug was fixed where the ball would not reset after stopping in a specific out of bounds location on Hole 15.
- Fixed some issues with flickering textures and clipping objects across the course when playing in different modes.
- Fixed an exploit where players could complete Hole 4 by flying underneath the last platform.
- A bug was fixed that caused a tile on Hole 5 to have an inaccurate collision compared to its visual geometry.
- Fixed a problem where the bomb crater decals incorrectly rendered above the bomb explosion VFX on multiple holes.
- Fixed a visual issue that caused the Holy Hand Grenade to briefly reappear at its spawn point after it exploded.
- Fixed an issue on Hole 14 where there was an issue where the second Worm Bazooka could launch the player’s puck in an unintended direction, which made completing the hole more challenging than expected.
- [Level Editor] Fixed a bug where the SFX for the ‘Engine_Castle’ object would play continuously after deleting the object or leaving the level editor.
- [Level Editor] Fixed various objects and assets that appeared overly bright after being placed in the level editor.
- [Level Editor] Fixed an issue where the textures on the Red_Vase_Oasis scenery asset was mapped incorrectly.
- [Level Editor] Fixed some instances where the incorrect preview image was used for certain assets.
- [Level Editor] Fixed some bugs where various objects from different themes appeared incorrectly rotated when placed in the editor scene.
- [Level Editor] A problem was fixed regarding multiple P_F2_Wall assets that were incorrectly configured with the wrong Level of Detail (LOD) levels when viewed from a distance.
- [Level Editor] Resolved a bug that caused the ball to respawn at Hole 1 while playing in test mode within the editor, regardless of which hole was being tested.
- Various other minor improvements and bug fixes.

- Brand New Premium 18 hole ‘Olympus Odyssey’ Course DLC. You and your friends have been invited to the legendary mini golf course in the sky, Olympus! A majestic and historic city situated high above the clouds, Olympus is home to the Gingy race who are in charge of all things golf. It features 18 high altitude holes filled with enchantment and awe!
- The new Premium 'Legends of Olympus' Cosmetic Pack is now available, showcasing 10 new cosmetic items inspired by Greek mythology. This pack includes 5 Hats, 2 Floaties, 2 Trails and 1 Sticker.
- Over 200 new Olympus themed assets have been added to the Level Editor including the all new Golden Roads, Angel Wings, Portal Vases and Bounce Clouds.
- Four new Achievements and Trophies
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- The End of Game Scoreboard now features a 30 second countdown to allow players more time to review their scores before returning to the lobby. A manual skip option is also included for players who want to keep things moving.
- [Speed Golf] Fixed an issue where the sudden death countdown UI does not flash red for the players who started spectating before the last 30 seconds of the round
- [Font Support] We addressed an issue where specific characters were not compatible with the game font, like the S-comma (ș) and capital A-circumflex (Â), which were displaying as blank spaces.
- The Jetpack help text has been updated to better communicate how it should be used.
- [Teams Mode] Fixed an issue where the title would soft lock mid-game if a previous teams mode game with 12 or less holes had been played in the same lobby.
- Fixed a bug where there was a chance that players could temporarily lose access to their Steam inventory whilst playing online, leading to a loss of their customisation setup
- Fixed a bug where customisations did not always appear correctly for everyone in online multiplayer sessions
- Fixed an issue where the ball would clip through the bottom of the DREDGE floatie.
- [Workshop Courses] We fixed an issue where, after completing a round on a workshop course, the final score summary would be skipped without giving players enough time to review their scores.
- We addressed a crash issue where the game could unexpectedly close when trying to publish a level editor map on Mac and Linux devices. When the problem occurred, the level editor map would be uploaded to the Steam Workshop as an empty file without any preview or title, and attempting to play the map would send all players back to the lobby.

Speed Golf - Patch Notes:
New Features!
- Speed is king in the brand new Speed Golf mode! Take your positions on the starting line and race to the hole to claim first place. Speed Golf is available to play online or offline on any course, including all workshop content! Speed Golf can even be experienced in teams play for an all new team racing experience.
- New game setting options are now available for Speed Golf players. Race to the hole in an anything goes ruleset where only time matters, or add time penalties for every stroke taken to reward both speed and accuracy.
- All courses have been turbo charged with brand new Turbo Charge Boosters! Passing through boosters allow you to reach speeds and take routes never before possible.
- Turbo Charge Boosters are also now available to use in the Level Editor in order to turbo charge your own creations!
- Sometimes slowing down is the best way to speed up. The new handbrake feature allows you to slow your roll, opening up new ways for you to save yourself valuable seconds, or you know, just save yourself.
- The brand new “Critical Hit” pack is now available featuring 10 new cosmetic items based on the spoils of a particularly fruitful party’s campaign. This pack includes 4 Hats, 2 Floaties, 2 Trails and 2 Stickers.
Quality of Life Fixes!
All Platforms:
- Fixed an issue where the wrong course could be loaded if players joined an online lobby while other players are in practice mode or the mode menu.
- Fixed a bug where player names were not censored in the in-game score feed during multiplayer gameplay regardless of swear filter settings.
- Fixed a problem where the Teams selection list could overlay the Controlled Disconnection message if triggered concurrently.
- Fixed an issue where the next player’s turn could start before the previous player’s turn had ended in Hotseat mode.
- Various other minor improvements and bug fixes.
Steam:
- Fixed a problem where the incorrect rich presence info would display for some courses.
- Fixed an issue where placeholder strings were displayed when adding a password to an online lobby in Big Picture Mode.
- Fixed an issue where the Ball Spin input could be recognised on the Course Settings screen.
Level Editor:
- Fixed a visual issue that occurred when viewing Halfpipe_Tall objects from a certain distance.
- Fixed an issue where renamed courses would always overwrite their originals when published.

New Features!
- A brand new mode! Teams Mode offers a new way for players to play with their friends, both online and offline. Pick your teammates and select one of 12 new pre-set teams representing the many locations of GWYF to compete against each other in any team size configurations.
○ New game setting options are available for teams sessions allowing multiple ways to calculate your team scores. New ball collision options are also available offering the ability to collide with only your teammates or just the enemy team. Perfect for offering some helping hands or sinister strategies to secure the win for your Team.
○ Teams can be enabled in any existing game mode and on any course, including workshop content!
○ Featured Teams are; Nimble Gnomes, Cursed Corrupters, Hot-Air Hitters, The Lumberjacks, Bunker Banshees, Putting Pharaohs, The Cosmics, Jurassic Jaws, Crossbone Caddies, The Fireflies, Gumdrop Golfers and the Deep Sea Divers.
- New ‘Teams Mascot’ Themed Cosmetic Hat Pack (12 Hats).
- Free Cosmetic Sticker Pack (12 stickers) to match the new teams, allowing players to play in their favourite team colours!
- New score feed UI indicates when a player's ball enters the hole and how many shots it took, offering a real time update on how the game develops.
- Multiple controller support for local Hotseat which will allow for players to use their own controllers, instead of needing to pass around and share a single pad. Supporting up to 4 controllers. The game will listen for any controller input at the start of each player's turn.
- [Steam PC Only - for now!] Free DREDGE floatie! We send our friends at Black Salt Games vibes as good as the tides and wish them good luck in reeling in their nominations for Best Debut Indie Game and Best Independent Game in this year’s Game Awards.
- [Xbox/Gamepass Only] Upgraded to a new version of Unity to match the version used by other platforms. This involved rebuilding the game to improve support and tools for future development.

Various QoL Bug Fixes including:
- Fixed an issue where mouse input would be ignored if an active touchscreen was connected to the system.
- [Level Editor] Fixed an issue where several objects in the Deep theme could not be selected after placement and lacked collision.
- [Level Editor] Fixed a bug where assets moved to high XYZ axis values caused the ball to become unresponsive in-game.
- [Level Editor] Improved the texture LoD (Level of Detail) on some icy assets from the Winter LE Theme.
- [Level Editor] Course names ending with a space will no longer block workshop upload (the space will be automatically removed).
- Fixed a problem where a player’s turn could end prematurely when interacting with black holes and cause a soft lock.
- Updated the description for the "Peaceful Pines" trophies to rectify an earlier reference to the incorrect course name.
- Fixed a problem on Hole 17 where a player could become stuck if they hit a certain type of pipe from a specific angle.
- [Peaceful Pines] Fixed an issue where the ball did not get reset after falling into the water on Hole 8.
- Fixed an issue where a naughty slice of bread between Hole 6 and 7 did not reset the ball position.
- Fixed a problem where part of the stone floor on Hole 6 didn’t reset the ball.
- [Bouncy Castle] Fixed an issue where it was possible for a player to get stuck in a hole that was hidden under the Hole 8 goal tile when playing in Hockey mode.
- Fixed an issue where freestanding hockey goalies appeared stationary for all players except for the Host in multiple courses.
- Various other minor improvements and bug fixes.
