About the Game
Grab your bike, pedal off and beat back the Greed to save your town. Kingdom Eighties is a story-based tower defense spin-off to the award-winning Kingdom series set in the ‘80s. This is a singleplayer and local co-op (or online co-op via Steam Remote Play Together) adventure with base building and strategy elements, rad aesthetics and a soundtrack inspired by the sweet synth tunes of the ‘80s.
Something disturbing has broken free from the shadows and it's up to you as The Leader to drive the evil back by recruiting your friends and other kids from the neighborhood. Together you will build your defenses and protect the town from the relentless attacks by the mysterious Greed monsters that are trying to steal your family heirloom, the Crown of Creation. For what nefarious purposes, who knows?
Muster and Deploy the Neighborhood Watch
Gather your three unique companions, each with special skills, and recruit other kids to build defenses, collect coins and… run a lemonade stand and a pizza shop (among many other things)! Manage the people you recruit, unlock tools and more importantly gear your crew up for the horrors that come at night.
Captivating story about something dangerous lurking in the shadows
A force, dormant for centuries, has somehow broken free in the ‘80s; Kingdom Eighties is a comic-sized story about the small town Monarch that has come under threat by an unknown evil. It has fallen upon you, as The Leader, to defend it and save the day. Rally the Summer Camp when an evil force of goopy Greed monsters attack and try to break your defenses. Where did they come from and where the heck are all the adults? Uncover clues and discover what happened to everybody else as you repel and fight the Greed back.
Pixels, Neon Lights and Synths
Kingdom's iconic, handcrafted art style is back, now with a neon touch coming directly from the ‘80s aesthetics. Chill and vibe with the synthy OST from Andreas Hald, and travel back to the wonder days of bike riding and summer camps, when everything seemed possible.
Survival Mixtapes Mode
In the true arcade style, Kingdom Eighties features a new game mode: Survival Mixtapes! Bring your best tactics and strategies to fend off progressively harder waves of Greed in four different episodes including “Back to the Suburbs” and “Greed, First Goo”. Make on-the-fly decisions as certain buildings’ special abilities are disabled and levels feature random mounts. This game mode is sure to put your skills to the test!

Cool patch notes for the cool kids: Kingdom Eighties including Survival Mixtapes, version No - 1.1.0🌆
- The Knights have received new training, with a buffed leap attack that will knock back the Greed from walls and the Siege Dumpster. The Knights also participate in the Siege now.
- The Greed can now destroy the Turrets but the Workers repair them every morning for free. This balance challenges the way you expand the base and makes you hone your survival tactics.
- Turret damage and rate of fire have been rebalanced to adjust to the above change.
- The interactions between the Greed and the Siege Barrier, especially with larger Greed types, have been improved. These are bug fixes for improper behaviours, the Siege Barrier now should block the Greed more reliably.
- Performance improvements.
- Fixed situations when portals spawned too close to the campfire.
- The campaign difficulty setting "Cursed" has been rebalanced and will now provide an even tougher challenge!

Hey campers!
We’re so happy to see so many of you enjoying Kingdom Eighties. In today’s update, we’re bringing you a patch that will eliminate some of the most urgent bugs and issues that you’ve reported to us from your playthroughs.
General fixes
- Your archers will now defend your entire Kingdom if there is a Blood Moon and a Retaliation Wave happening simultaneously, instead of stacking at the Blood Moon side only.
- Your archers will no longer sometimes stop attacking while taking part in a Siege assault.
- The Champ no longer gets stuck in a running animation when you pay to activate the Siege Dumpster just before exiting a cave.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from picking up their dropped crown after loading a save.
- Greed portals should no longer spawn so close to the camp that you are prevented from building your innermost wall. Let us know if the problem persists when you generate a new map!
Episode specific fixes
- The Champ’s trophy event in Episode I will now always trigger correctly when paid for.
- Exiting the cave in Episode I without your crown will now trigger game loss correctly, instead of causing a freeze.
- The Tinkerer can no longer get stuck in a walking animation by the cave in Episode III.
- The workers will no longer drop the canoe as soon as the Siege Dumpster is destroyed or abandoned in the cave in Episode I, which would sometimes leave the canoe out of reach.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the player to be stuck in the cave after fulfilling the victory conditions in Episode IV.
- You can now leave the cave in Episode IV at any time, allowing you to regroup and try again after a failed Siege assault.
Achievement fixes
- “County Connection” will now trigger correctly in all episodes.
- “Saw Boss” will now trigger correctly in Episode IV.
- “Loner” will now trigger correctly in Episode IV.
- “George Burnett Had Twins” will now trigger correctly in Episode IV.
We’ll have another update to Eighties ready for you after the dev team has returned from their summer holidays. Stay tuned!
