Level Editor Beta Update - Community Trails
The Level Editor beta update is now live on the Steam beta branch - the big one ahead of the full editor release.
Community Trails
You can now browse user generated levels directly in-game — from the main menu and from the trail selection. Download, rate and (if needed) report them right there. This is also the groundwork for cross-platform support.
Levels moved off Steam Workshop
Levels are now stored on Playfab. They will still be published to the Workshop for visibility, but the published files there are no longer compatible — so all levels need to be republished to be available for others again. Sorry for the extra work, it's a one-time step, and republishing restores everything including comments and ratings.
Also worth knowing: the folder layout changed. On first launch the game moves your local level files into subfolders automatically.
Lots of editor polish
Prop clipboard, configurable Time Trials/Tricks/Freeride challenges, a screenshot tool for publishing, plus a pile of river, path and prop fixes. Full change log below.
Still a beta
To be clear: this is the beta branch only for now. We want to see how it holds up with your levels before it goes out to everyone — which we hope will be very soon. We tested compatibility a lot, but if anything looks off with your existing levels, please reach out right away. Thoughts, bugs and feature requests are highly appreciated!

Hi everyone,
We just released a small hotfix that is addressing a critical error in the save game system. We got reports that in some cases the cloud storage was almost full - causing the game to not save any further procress properly.
We found that some of the old backups were not cleaned up properly - and that is now fixed. The cleanup will happen automatically when you launch the game.
Cheers,
your Megagons!

Hey Riders,

Thanks a lot to everyone who reported this and as always please let us know if you run into any issues.

Hey Riders,
This is a quick one: We got reports of an exploit that allowed some clever players to get more points on certain maps. This is a fix to prevent this.
Fixes
Critical: Only move trick mode points from unsaved to saved when hitting the next active checkpoint - not ANY checkpoint you cross.
Thanks for reporting this and as always - happy riding!

Hello Riders,
We finally found the bug that causes the blue slope time trials leaderboards to be flooded by seemingly random best times - and fixed it with today's patch.
With that done we were able to clean the leaderboards the following way:
We rolled back Time Trials scores to a backup from last July 2nd to make sure everything's clean and fair again. This means new blue slope time trials records over the last week will be lost, black slope times will be restored next week.
Trick mode and FreeRide scores are not affected.
Fixes
Critical: Zen mode does not submit leaderboard entries for time trials anymore ːsteamfacepalmː
Thanks a lot for all your patience, we hope you enjoy trick and freeride mode while we are already working on our next exciting update.
your Megagons!

Good news Our cross-platform leaderboards are finally working again!
Please let us know if you have any further issues with the,
Unfortunately, a lot of entries did not get through to the database over the last two days so it might be that you need to do some of your best times again and that there is a difference between your local best time vs. the time/rank shown in the leaderboards. Sorry for that!
Good luck, Godspeed and Happy Speedrunning!
Your Megagons
After only 4 hours we got our first hotfix live. It adds support for Steam Timeline for Game Recording (see screenshot below) and addresses the following two issues:
- Reduce the frequent short freezes / lag spikes that appeared especially in the beginning of multiplayer matches
- Very rare crash / softlock on the loading screens
Additionally the version number is DECREASING... the previous version should have been 1.0.0, but we messed up and set it to 1.0.2. before - not its correctly set to 1.0.1 - however besides some confusion we hope there is no harm done. ;)
Have fun exploring the mountains and remember to leave a review - that helps us tremendously!
- Your Megagons
See those little checkpoint and band aid icons in the timeline?
