About the Game
In Mad Television Tycoon, you take control of a small, insignificant TV station. Accept the challenge and lead your network to success! Under your leadership, will the station become the country's top channel with millions of viewers, or will the office lights soon go out for good? Beware - your rivals are not resting, and only with smart planning and a bit of skill will you manage to bring the best programming to the screens!
Your task is to strategically design your broadcasting schedule, maximize advertising revenue, and outshine the competition. You have a wide range of shows, movies, series, news, and entertainment programs at your disposal - place them wisely to attract viewers to their screens. Increase your reputation and buy new broadcasting towers across the country to expand your reach. Produce your own shows, acquire additional licenses, and use every tool at your disposal to make life difficult for your rivals.

■ You can now enter the store. Three items are already available for purchase.
■ (Marketing) A viewer poll can now be launched to find out what the next trend will be.
■ (Mod) The Soviet Union and Yugoslavia have been added as film production countries.
■ To be eligible for an award for your own films, shows and series, the programme must now have been broadcast at least once.
■ (Broadcast schedule): You can now hide movies, TV series, and shows that are already in the schedule and rental films.
■ You can now filter films and TV series in the programme schedule by “all” age ratings.
■ (Film tooltip) You can now see the purchase price for live events, rental films, shows, pirated copies and production costs for in-house programmes.
■ (Advertisement tooltip) The required audience share, expressed as a percentage, is now calculated using the coverage area of the transmission masts and ‘satellites’.
■ Bug: (In-house production) If you selected a screenshot that was in the ‘USER’ folder, the ‘No Signal Screenshot’ was displayed.
■ Bug: If you had the rating menu for your own productions open and the day ended, the mouse controls stopped working.
■ Bug: The AI has only broadcast one episode of a multi-episode live event series.
■ Bug: (Multiplayer) The office update to reduce transmission tower costs did not work for clients.
■ Bug: If you wanted to hire a satellite but cancelled the action whilst it was still being prepared, the timer would still be displayed.
■ Bug: (Multiplayer) Waste disposal did not work for clients.

■ The TV station’s special genre is now calculated only once at the start of each day. In addition, a message box appears when a new special genre is selected.
■ (Random events): Pirated video tapes may now contain a different movie than the one you purchased.
■ You can now hide pirated copies in the broadcast schedule.
■ If a show is outdated, it now displays 10% actuality instead of 100%.
■ Mod: If a screenshot of a movie cannot be loaded, a “No Signal” screenshot will appear on the TV.
■ Bug: In the custom game, you could mistakenly set the broadcast time to 25:00.
■ Bug: (Multiplayer) In multiplayer, not all players left the room after two hours or when the room was closed.
■ Bug: (Multiplayer) When a player left a room, it generated an unnecessary amount of network traffic.
■ Bug: If you chose a new destination while exiting the elevator, your character would be teleported.
■ Bug: News items could be sorted by the unused ‘Rating’ value.
■ Bug: The live event penalty icon was not shown transparently when no live event was airing.

■ Your TV station now has a thematic focus. For example, if you often air science fiction content, your station will be classified as a ‘Science Fiction Channel.’ You then receive a 10% audience bonus when broadcasting science fiction movies or series.
■ Penalties that are not currently active are now displayed transparently (right side of the screen).
■ You can now view the country’s preferred genres and current bonuses in the transmission tower menu and the location tooltip.
■ If you enabled automatic repeat for marketing campaigns, you will now receive a message about the costs on the left side of the screen.
■ Added 4 new random events.
■ Bug: If the elevator menu was open, you could no longer leave rooms with a right-click.
■ Bug: For some random events, no message box would appear, and they were also not sent to clients in multiplayer.

■ You can now choose screenshots from all other genres in the Film Studio. Note: In older save games, the wrong screenshot may sometimes be displayed.
■ (Mod) You can now add your own screenshots to the ‘USER’ folder for use in the Film Studio.
■ The AI now replaces low-recency series much more quickly.
■ Translation: (Spanish and French) Movie and series titles are now once again displayed in their original English.
■ Bug: The detective and the man with the bouquet should no longer enter rooms that are under renovation.
■ Bug: Sometimes, the AI was unable to buy new movies and series from the film market if the blue player’s archive was full.
■ Bug: Fixed several errors in the film database.
■ Bug: In the default game, reputation gain/loss was set to 0.0%.
■ Bug: (Translation) Some text in the News Office and Film Studio was always shown in English.
■ Bug: Even after purchasing the upgrade that reduces daily transmission tower costs, the Transmission Tower Office still showed the full price.
