20 Combat Rooms Set
Nou & Anacard’s Perks Set
Sliver’s Perks Set
New Upgrades at Eris's and K33P3R's
Another Endless Vault Challenge to beat
Shop Cosmetics Set
New Dungeon Path
New Weapon and Armor
The Greed Colosseum
Improved Perks, Relics, and overall balance
…and more
Check out the highlights of the new update below:
The Greed Colosseum
After defeating a boss, you’ll unlock an alternative path: The Greed Colosseum.
It’s a completely new challenge with escalating difficulty that appears as soon as you unlock the fifth key in the Endless Vault. Sliver discovered this dangerous realm where only the bravest adventurers can test their skills.
The promise?
Legendary relics, more boss materials, and bigger rewards.
The cost?
If you fail, the relics in your backpack will have their quality halved. Not just the ones earned in the Colosseum, but also the ones you brought with you.
This is the kind of tension we’ve been aiming for, creating a more meaningful risk-reward dynamic. And to make things even more fun, a laurel crown will appear on Will’s head whenever he beats his previous record.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45333092/edc217a9580a0a4c4982750620917780d96e7fee.gif"]
New Dungeon Path (Hex)
As mentioned previously, we’re introducing a new perk path: Hex.
This path allows you to curse enemies, deal damage over time, and transfer those effects to nearby targets, creating powerful chain reactions that work great with other combat perk paths.
It unlocks once you reach Endless Vault Challenge 2, with no additional requirements.
New Weapon: Blo-Blitz
Another exciting addition to your armory is Blo-Blitz.
This weapon has its own rhythm, timing, and combat identity, built around constant pressure and rapid-fire attacks that keep enemies on edge. Add a perk that stacks power with every hit, and you’ve got yourself some serious mayhem.
To obtain it, you’ll need to complete a quest and acquire the crafting recipe. The quest becomes available once you visit Prison 2.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45333092/161a4e83fcbc90277d7d5f4b7b46937d010bc320.gif"]
New Armor: Nimbus Regalia
This shiny new armor set grants you one shield at the start of each dungeon, acting as an early safety net.
But here’s the twist. Once the shield breaks, your damage increases by 20% for 2 seconds. Suddenly, taking a hit can become part of the strategy. Time it well and turn broken defense into pure offense.
To obtain it, you’ll follow a similar process as with Blo-Blitz: complete a quest to unlock the crafting recipe. The quest appears once you reach Aeolia 2.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45333092/8158b74295d38ce0e9720f2a7c62ed7a219f4ad9.jpg"]
Perk Overhaul
We’ve also expanded and reworked several perk systems.
Event Room vendors such as Sliver, Nou, Anacard, and Andrei now offer many new perks, along with updates to existing ones.
Hazard perks like Spikes, Taser, and Genie have also been redesigned to better align with player control and synergy potential.
New Upgrade Paths
New gear isn’t the only place where you’ll be able to spend your hard-earned coins.
Eris is unlocking her fourth upgrade level, allowing you to invest in better potions and health improvements that make expeditions a bit safer.
Similarly, K33p3r is receiving a third upgrade level, expanding your possibilities inside the shop.
And speaking of expanding the shop...
Shop Expansion
We’re introducing two new customizable corners.
Upper Shelves
Whether you prefer tidy stacks or mysterious compartments, you can now turn practical storage into a way to show off your style.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45333092/86126f7133b2f4aeeaf810e5d3fe3ec4052dc217.png"]
Storefront
This is the first thing customers see when entering your shop, and now you have full control over its look. Set the mood before anyone even reaches the counter.
Building visual identity and expression is one of our main goals during Early Access, especially when it comes to the shop. After all, it’s a space that should truly feel like your own.
So let us know in the comments how you’d like to customize the shop in future updates.

What’s Next?
Since this is Early Access, we also want to be transparent. There are a few known issues we’re currently working on to fix as soon as possible:
Clearing a room inside a colosseum may not properly complete the run and allow the player to continue.
Interacting with a chest exactly at the same moment as a new material notification appears may lead to a blocker.
Picking up relics in the backpack and changing menu tabs with a different input method may lead to a blocker.
Players starting new game may unlock two achievements simultaneously, one of which is supposed to unlock after entering Kalina through the Tresna portal later on.
Relic value and price fonts may appear a little out of scale especially in Asian languages.
Some of the new perks may not work fully as expected and may have misleading descriptions.
Game audio may sometimes stay muffled when skipping dialogues too fast. Restarting the game fixes the issue.
The Greed & Glory Update is only the first of several updates that will reflect your feedback as much as possible. You asked for higher stakes, deeper builds, and meaningful risk, and this is our first step in that direction.
But there’s more coming. Additional perks, weapons, armor, difficulty options, shop upgrades, and more are already planned for the next update.
This is just the beginning.
For now, let us know how far you’re willing to push your greed in the Colosseum, and keep stocking our shelves with feedback!
See you in Tresna!
Hello Merchants!
We’re coming to you with a small, focused list of changes. Rest assured, we are still deep in development, continuously working on improvements based directly on the feedback and suggestions you’ve all shared with us. So keep those messages coming!
Here’s what’s been cleaned up in this Hotfix:
Tyke's Laser Attack VFX was not playing correctly - now it should be working as intended.
Tyke's Grenades attacks were not playing any SFX - and now they do!
There was an odd bug that made all music muted sometimes, this should no longer be the case. Get ready to enjoy the soundtrack without interruption again!
Thank you all again for your feedback and ongoing support! We’re working hard to make this the best experience possible.

Fellow merchants!
We’ve just dropped another patch for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. This one features a big broom swing at stuttering, more polished boss fights, an even better time playing on Steam Deck... and more!
But before that, we're incredibly grateful. Your support for Moonlighter 2 has been invaluable, especially after the last hotfix. Thanks to that, Moonlighter 2 has climbed from around 71% to 85% positive reviews in just a week. And it’s still going up!
We’re not settling, though. Let’s dive into the patch notes!
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45333092/abdc13765a60854cd123a38b7501f448b2e0b315.jpg"]
Patch Notes
Performance, Stuttering & Steam Deck
Big pass on stuttering. We’ve cleaned up a lot of unused or unnecessary data throughout the game. You should now see way less stuttering, and in many cases, virtually none at all.
Controls, performance, and menus are more Deck-friendly now, ie, Settings and Difficulty selection screen being easier to read and navigate.
Default Steam Deck graphics settings now use FSR3 – Quality instead of Balanced, for a sharper, more stable look right from the start.
Bosses & Balance
The Herald
We’ve seen a lot of feedback saying this fight felt too slow and frustrating because of the long invulnerability windows. We’ve reworked the shield loop so you have more to do during the fight and more chances to push phases:
His evil blob grenades now appear more often, giving you more opportunities to break his shields.
Thus, Herald now has 6 shields instead of 3.
He always starts each phase with all 6 shields active.
If during a phase you break all 6 shields but don’t manage to push him into the next phase during his vulnerability window, then when he becomes vulnerable again, he’ll only have 3 shields.
Thalaam
Improved the backpack snap to the bells you throw to break his shield, so it feels more reliable.
Added a shield bar so you can clearly see how much protection he has left.
Monte
Added a shield bar here as well, to better show how the fight is progressing.
Fixed Monte’s interphase cinematic, which was clunky due to a missing animation.
Dungeons, Controls & Feel
After dying, choosing Retry Dungeon on the results screen now requires you to hold the button. This should stop accidental retries when you meant to head back home.
We’ve tightened up the roll so it feels more responsive. Some animations were effectively locking you for about 0.5 seconds, which felt bad, especially when dodging The Herald’s waves. That delay has been reduced, so your inputs feel snappier.
Both gadgets and main weapons now prioritize snapping to enemies over hazards. This was very noticeable in Houtu with the spike flowers during miniboss encounters. Once a spike flower is consumed, snap should no longer “stick” to it.
Shop, Vendors & Relics
You can still carry relics from the shop into dungeons, but they now lose all quality when you do it. A warning has been added, so this isn’t a surprise.
There’s now a notification that clearly tells you that the shop can’t be opened at night, so it’s more obvious when the doors are shut.
You can now see the vouchers you own while buying cosmetics from Mrs. Scratch, making it easier to plan your shopping spree.
In Codex Relics, Perfect Price stamps are now hidden on relics you haven’t discovered yet.
Opening the relic panel from the codex now correctly selects the first entry.
Misc.
The current build is now shown on the title screen, so you can easily check that you’re up to date.
Community Bug Fixes
These all came from your reports on Steam and Discord. Thank you!
Fixed an issue where the controller's left stick didn’t match the actual movement direction.
Fixed a blocker where Medic Taalik could leave the room and trap your progress.
Fixed 4RT-TR4P being able to damage you while you were tased.
Fixed V3NUS sometimes becoming invulnerable because of a collider issue.
Fixed Foam Combo perks not working as intended.
Fixed Sliver’s perk “First Class Adventurer” not functioning.
Fixed Sliver’s perk “Double Chest on the next 3 rooms” not triggering.
Fixed a UI/UX issue where trying to remap keybinds related to panels could result in losing input.
Thanks, merchants!
Thank you again for diving into Moonlighter 2 from the very beginning and helping us improve so quickly. As always, we’ll be reading every review, every thread, and every bug report to see where the game can get even better. And based on your input, we’re already putting together a roadmap that we’ll be able to share with you very soon.
Until then, keep stocking our shelves with feedback!
