Fenrir’s soul has been defeated! As promised, here’s your reward: Vidar, son of Odin unlocked!

Why is a god joining your team when you had to fight the other gods?
Basically, your mission as a player is to save Yggdrasil, which has been weakened by Ragnarok. (Being Fenrir the herald of Ragnarok.)
This leads you to consider infiltrating the nine realms to achieve your goal, which involves facing the guardians of each realm, whether they be monsters, demons, or gods.
During this war, Fenrir manages to kill Odin. His son Vidar, the powerful god of justice, avenges his father by defeating Fenrir once and for all, thus surviving Ragnarok.
After this, Vidar decides to join your team, as he considers you worthy, since your goal has always been to end Ragnarok too.
This emblematic character is the real slayer of Fenrir in Norse mythology.
We also created a couple of skins, including the classic Golden one.
How to unlock it?
If you participated in the challenge, Vidar will be automatically unlocked. If you didn't, defeat Fenrir Unleashed on expert mode or higher to unlock it (Sandheim realm).

Fixes
On today’s update we wanted to add some fixes you’ve reported:
In Nightmare Mode, relics not collected from shrines upon completing a cycle no longer respawned.
Fixed a bug with Lorcan's ultimate that could cause crashes.
Alpha was not being applied to the shadows of Lorcan's summons.
Fixed a Relic Ban bug that prevented the free bans from being applied if you didn't have seeds.
Font and translation corrections.
Fixed the Chains relic issue.
Using Relic Exchanger in the Tower with relics from Gnoki's gift boxes could cause bugs.
Helga's owls are no longer destroyed by the shield of Jewel Feather enemies from Krystalheim.
Other minor fixes.
About Console Release
We have read your comments about the delay in the console release. We would have loved to release all platforms at the same time, but bear in mind our dev team is comprised of only 3 people. We're working hard on updates and porting to get them ready in early July.

About GOG discounts
GOG provides specific dates for game discounts. The official release date of the DLC didn't coincide with any of these discounts. However, there will be strong discounts in June. We're sorry they didn't align, but there was nothing we could do about it.
Future updates
We will still be updating Nordic Ashes. Next update will include a few more relics and some extra QoL improvements.

Here's a patch to fix some bugs and improve translations:
There was a situation where Gnoki gift boxes would not offer runes in addition to relics.
Some Yggdrasil tree upgrades weren't giving leaves back when removing them. There was no risk of losing leaves.
Japanese and korean translations have been improved.
Other minor fixes

If you already read the previous posts, you already know almost everything about this new release! There’s an extra challenge explained at the end.
Twilight of Yggdrasil DLC
New Realms
Fight your way through Groundheim, Krystalheim and Sandheim. The story continues after Asgard was defeated with tons of new enemies and bosses.

New Character Gnöki
Long story short, Gnöki decided he didn’t want to be a final boss, so we offered him a position as lieutenant, and he said yes!
The Quest
However, he won’t join the team as soon as you unlock this DLC, you must first complete a hero quest! Baby Gnökis have been trapped in each of the realms, and our dear merchant friend is really troubled about it.
It will be your job to save all the baby Gnökis and convince the real Gnöki to join your team.
You will also be able to unlock a ton of skins for Gnöki!

We’re happy to have Rubén once again and his amazing soundtrack back in Nordic Ashes! The new tracks will eventually be added to Nordic Ashes OST, so if you already own it, these will be soon included.
Secret challenge
This is a worldwide Quest.
Defeat Fenrir to earn points. Points from players all around the world will be added to reach the goal and unveil the secret!
You will find all the necessary information in the main menu of the game, in the top right corner. Rumor has it the secret will be released a few hours after the challenge has been completed!!! Good Luck!

Free content
This content is availabe for everyone, as a regular update of the base game (it does not require any DLCs).
Relic Ban
As the number of relics keeps increasing it felt imperative to have a new tool to ban the ones we don’t want to appear on a run.
Spend some seeds to ban relics of your choice and those relics won’t appear on the next run.
You will always be able to ban some relics of your choice for free and then spend some extra seeds to ban even more relics if you wish. Those relics won’t appear in the next run.

Lightning Mode
If you choose to play Lightning Mode, the overall speed of the game will be increased making runs much more frantic and shorter.
There won’t be any kind of penalty by using this mode. You’ll earn the same amount of seeds as usual, be able to participate in Adventure mode, ranked runs (Ragnarok), and Daily Challenges. The time posted for your Ragnarok or Daily Challenge run will be automatically recalculated to match the “regular” time speed of a standard run.

New relics
And a few new relics also for this free update!
We have added a ton of Common relics and 4 new weapons. The aim of this addition is to create better synergies and increase the probability of them happening.
You will find a nice variety of new boots, all of them related to dashes, with interesting features.
We hope you enjoy unlocking them and including them in your build!

Yggdrasil
We've expanded Yggdrasil meta-progress with a new branch that offers a wide range of customization options. These new upgrades can be improved endlessly and are the perfect place to use those extra leaves or boost certain aspects of your survivors.

Remnants of Corruption DLC
We have made some changes to the Tower of Corruption:
We have removed all corruption obtained through the Tower's meta-progress.
Deities have been reworked with more interesting and powerful abilities.
Improvements
UI
We changed the display of some buttons. You can now access Yggdrasil, Relic Exchanger and Relic Ban though the Realm selection and not in the main menu. We thought this would be more intuitive and would free the main menu of so many buttons.
During runs, you can now expand the information of relics you come across with. The game will pause to showcase this info and also see the synergies with relics you already own.

Performance
We’ve made many performance improvements. Things should run smoothly on almost every device and the framerate is higher now. This has let us develop new features like the Lightning mode.

Today we have a couple of announcements and a few fixes too.
Nordic Ashes porting is already finished!
We are happy to announce that our game is now visible on Nintendo eShop and PlayStation store! So you can already wishlist it to be notified when they are released.
Release will be DEC. 19th!!
Retail Editions
But that’s not all, both Standard (including a beautiful 36 page game manual for all of us old school gamers, not just the usual empty game case with just a cartridge) and Collector’s Edition (including game manual, OST, Artbook, Stickers and Gnöki keychain) are also available for preorder with official release also on DEC 19th!!

Fixes and improvements
An error related to the loading and saving of the Crystal Enhancer relics on the Tower has been fixed.
In Survivors of Ragnarok, the damage dealt by enemies shown in the pause menu could incorrectly display the damage dealt by elites
Achievements have been translated into Spanish and Czech.
