Over the weekend, Unity (Unity game engine) announced a security concern affecting certain versions of its engine. Following Unity’s advice, our team has released a hotfix update for Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition on Steam. While there’s no evidence of any exploitation or impact on our players, this update ensures continued stability and security. We strongly recommend updating your game to the latest version to keep your personal information protected.

Filter issues within the Breeding functionality, causing the game to freeze
Intermittent freezing when selecting "Skip to Result" in the Betting Party mode.
Temporary Colour Loss: A brief loss of colour in the mane when changing a horse's colour in the Horse Editor.
Game freezes intermittently upon entering the third race in Betting Party mode.

Fix an issue that caused stopped saves from loading
Fixed infinite loading screens when editing custom horse

Introducing Canyon Falls—
Welcome to Canyon Falls—A fresh new area with a whole new look. Think rugged cliffs, winding canyons, and stretches of wild bush dotted with sunlit cacti. Everything’s bathed in warm, golden light, giving it a laid-back, Western feel.
You can gallop through wide open valleys, snap some sunset shots of your horse, or just take it easy by the peaceful waterfall that inspired the name. There’s also a cosy barn and a quiet pasture tucked into the canyon—perfect for those everyday, down-to-earth moments.
There’s plenty to uncover, and we can’t wait to see the photos you capture in this beautiful new environment

Starting May 2nd and running until July 9th, we’re launching a brand-new limited-time event: the Triple Peaks Championship.
This special event is made up of three separate races, each offering their own unique challenges and rewards. Each event is your chance to earn exclusive gear—but to complete the full tack set, you’ll need to take first place in all three races, as each one rewards a different piece.
Whether you're in it to win it or just along for the ride, there’s something here for everyone. Keep an eye out—more details will be coming soon, including the full lineup of events. The countdown to the starting gate has begun.

This daring new character is joining the Rival Stars Horse Racing universe and is ready to help you become a champion on your Cross Country adventure. Get to know Kay and her unique skills as you gallop towards glory and compete against the top riders in the game. So, what are you waiting for? Saddle up and let's ride!

Menu Screen
Hooray for simplicity! We have made it easier for players to navigate through the game. The old mode selection screen is no longer in use, but fear not - it's been replaced by an even more efficient system. After selecting your save profile, you'll now be taken straight to the Story Home screen, allowing you to jump right into the action without any unnecessary steps.
But what about the features on the main page, you ask? We've got you covered!
Horse Creator can now be found under the Stables menu so you can access it without leaving your game.

Multiplayer, Quick race & Betting party are now accessible by going to the race menu and selecting “More Racing”

Game Settings is now under the Homestead screen. To swap profiles just press back while on the Home screen.
Goals
Alongside the main menus, the Goals tab has undergone a refresh to make it more user-friendly. The new polished screen combines the Daily, Racing, and Cross Country Goals, making it easier to keep track of your progress. Don't worry, your goals will still function in the same way - it's just a fresh new look! To access your Daily Goals, simply tap on the Daily button, and a menu will appear with all the daily goals and rewards waiting for you to complete.

Horse Creator - Quick buy
The horse-buying process in the Horse Creator just got a whole lot easier! We heard your feedback loud and clear in the last user survey (you guys rock!), so we've simplified things to make your life simpler.
Gone are the days of creating a horse, saving it to your collection, opening your collection, pressing "Show in Story Market", going to Story, going to Market, refreshing the market, and finally, purchasing your new equine friend. Phew, even typing that out was exhausting!
Now, the new and improved flow is as easy as pie. Simply create your horse, and press the "Buy" button on the same screen. Yes, you read that right - just one screen! And the best part? You can even see in real-time how much your new horse will cost.

To improve screen navigation, a home button has been added to the user interface, allowing users to easily return to the home screen when needed.
Head Markings
Last but not least, we've just added 25 new head markings to the game, and without being too biased, we think they look absolutely incredible! We can't wait to see what kind of beauties you'll breed!
