Hello Truckers!
A new patch is now live on Steam. This update includes optimizations for memory management and assets, alongside fixes for customization.

Please Note: While this update is live on Steam, the update for the Epic Games Store version may slip to next week.
Patch Notes:
Memory Optimization: Significantly optimized the memory footprint of truck textures and render targets. This change positively affects the PC version of the game.
Asset Optimization: Optimization of selected 2D assets for better memory management and a slightly sharper look of the game.
Valdez Region: Optimization of Valdez.
Customization Fix: Fixed an issue where pre-owned customization was not correctly restored at the workshop after browsing two or more customizations of the same type or removing customizations from preview.
Audio Update: Updated FMOD on all platforms. Please note: The engine/menu music sound loop bug is known to still occur at times and will be handled in a later update.
Demo Update: Updated the PC demo of the game to apply recent improvements and reduce the demo size.

Hello Truckers!
A new patch for Alaskan Road Truckers is now live, bringing several important fixes to improve your journey through the wilderness. The developers have been hard at work addressing key issues you've reported, especially related to sound and saving.

Here’s a full list of what's included in this update:
Fixed truck horn sound not playing when used.
Trailer support sounds now stop correctly when exiting interaction early.
Prevented trailer support sounds from playing unexpectedly when loading a game save.
Fixed delivery-accepting jingle continuing briefly after loading a save mid-delivery.
Resolved an issue where the cooking device sound could continue playing after the game was saved and loaded again.
Fixed endless wheel sounds stuck in a fixed position after loading a save created during truck movement.

A new patch for Alaskan Road Truckers is now live on all platforms, bringing important fixes to improve your journey through the wilderness. The developers at Road Studio have been hard at work addressing some key issues based on your feedback.
Here's what's been resolved in this update:
Resolved a sound issue when loading a saved game, which caused engine sounds to overlap even when the engine was off.
Resolved a similar issue regarding the sounds of going in reverse and the heartbeat sound.
Resolved an issue where, after loading a game, the heater's state would be incorrect, resulting in the heater not working despite being turned on.

We're deploying an important new patch for Alaskan Road Truckers today, focused on enhancing your performance experience in several key areas across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S!
This update targets specific regions to improve memory usage and provide more stable frame rates, aiming for a smoother journey through the Last Frontier. We appreciate your continued feedback as our team works to optimize your trucking adventures.

Here's what this patch brings:
Optimization of Prudhoe Bay, Susitna North, Willow, Wasilla, Palmer, and Sutton-Alpine:
Lowered memory use in these locations.
Improved frame rate stability in these locations.
Important Note: This patch specifically addresses only the areas mentioned above.
Other known issues:
Trapper Creek store texture flickering
Cardboard stack floating in Wasilla distribution center logistic location
On Xbox Series S: While crashing should be reduced, frame rates in Wasilla and Prudhoe Bay locations may still be below our target. Further optimizations are planned.

- Fixed fog flickering when player leaves some workshops or walks close to their walls
- Fixed snow disappearing permanently when leaving or walking close to the side of mechanical workshop or city workshops
We’ve made some tweaks that should speed up the loading of map parts, resulting in a smoother gameplay with less jerkiness that you might have been experiencing on the road. Let us know how it works for you in the comments or on Discord.

Also, if you play using a controller, remember that you can now use a radial menu in the truck to access useful shortcuts. To use the radial menu, press and hold the interaction menu while behind the wheel.
