Hey Truckers!
We bring you a brand new rig to make your own. It's added to your game as a free update on every platform (Steam, EGS, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S), and available in the in-game truck store.

The new truck is a completely new model, not based on anything we had previously. This means it has its own set of customization items that only suit this truck. However, you can apply different paint colors and all the stickers.

The truck's brand - M.I.C.K. - is an homage to Mick, our community member who spent over 1100 hours (!) in Alaskan Road Truckers on the PS5 and helped us immensely with testing. Thanks Mick, we hope you'll enjoy your very own truck! :)

Update Notes
Added a new Class 4 truck with its own limited set of customization elements. In order to claim the truck, you need to purchase it from the truck store using the in-game currency. In order to be able to purchase it, you need to unlock Class 4 trucks in the Trucker's skill tree.
Known issue, to be addressed: the ice scraper animation penetrates the windshield.
Added a Road Truckers: New Beginning information widget in the main menu.

A new patch is now live on Steam. This update includes optimizations for memory management and assets, alongside fixes for customization.

Patch Notes:
Memory Optimization: Significantly optimized the memory footprint of truck textures and render targets. This change positively affects the PC version of the game.
Asset Optimization: Optimization of selected 2D assets for better memory management and a slightly sharper look of the game.
Valdez Region: Optimization of Valdez.
Customization Fix: Fixed an issue where pre-owned customization was not correctly restored at the workshop after browsing two or more customizations of the same type or removing customizations from preview.
Audio Update: Updated FMOD on all platforms. Please note: The engine/menu music sound loop bug is known to still occur at times and will be handled in a later update.
Demo Update: Updated the PC demo of the game to apply recent improvements and reduce the demo size.

A new patch for Alaskan Road Truckers is now live on all platforms, bringing important fixes to improve your journey through the wilderness. The developers at Road Studio have been hard at work addressing some key issues based on your feedback.
Here's what's been resolved in this update:
Resolved a sound issue when loading a saved game, which caused engine sounds to overlap even when the engine was off.
Resolved a similar issue regarding the sounds of going in reverse and the heartbeat sound.
Resolved an issue where, after loading a game, the heater's state would be incorrect, resulting in the heater not working despite being turned on.

This update targets specific regions to improve memory usage and provide more stable frame rates, aiming for a smoother journey through the Last Frontier. We appreciate your continued feedback as our team works to optimize your trucking adventures.

Here's what this patch brings:
Optimization of Prudhoe Bay, Susitna North, Willow, Wasilla, Palmer, and Sutton-Alpine:
Lowered memory use in these locations.
Improved frame rate stability in these locations.
Important Note: This patch specifically addresses only the areas mentioned above.
Other known issues:
Trapper Creek store texture flickering
Cardboard stack floating in Wasilla distribution center logistic location
On Xbox Series S: While crashing should be reduced, frame rates in Wasilla and Prudhoe Bay locations may still be below our target. Further optimizations are planned.

Today’s launch includes
Patch 1.6: A significant quality-of-life update that addresses community feedback and brings key improvements across all platforms:
- Resolved all known instances of snow and tree flickering across the entire map.
- Reduced save file sizes for better performance and stability.
- Optimized memory usage across key areas of the main map and Ice Roads.
- Fixed customization glitches that caused default elements to reappear after loading.
- Added 3 new camo skins for all platforms.
- Truck Skin Pack 2: A new cosmetic DLC featuring 7 premium skins with 9 color variants, plus a free skin available for all players with 3 color variants. For those of you who spotted the hidden skins in our earlier posts—great job!

This is just the beginning of what’s to come for Alaskan Road Truckers. As outlined in our Roadmap 1, we’re committed to delivering a mix of premium and free content while continuing to address your feedback. Early next year, we’ll release our next major content drop, Showrunner—a unique expansion that we believe will excite fans of both trucking and movies. Full details will be revealed in February, but for now, we’re keeping the specifics under wraps.

We’ve made some tweaks that should speed up the loading of map parts, resulting in a smoother gameplay with less jerkiness that you might have been experiencing on the road. Let us know how it works for you in the comments or on Discord.

Also, if you play using a controller, remember that you can now use a radial menu in the truck to access useful shortcuts. To use the radial menu, press and hold the interaction menu while behind the wheel.
