Chornobyl Exclusion Zone has changed dramatically after the second massive explosion in the year 2006. Violent mutants, deadly anomalies, and warring factions have made the Zone a very tough place to survive. Nevertheless, artifacts of unbelievable value attracted many people called S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, who entered the Zone for their own risk, striving to make a fortune out of it or even to find the Truth concealed in the Heart of Chornobyl.
EPIC NONLINEAR STORY IN SEAMLESS OPEN WORLD
Take over a role of the lone stalker and explore photorealistic seamless open world in a 64-km² radioactive zone with a variety of environments that reveal post-apocalyptic atmosphere from different angles. Make your way through the Zone to define your destiny as you choose your paths within highly branching epic story.
VARIETY OF ENEMIES AND HUNDREDS OF WEAPON COMBINATIONS
Meet members of different factions deciding who of them worth your friendship and who deserve a bullet. Engage intense gunfights with a variety of enemies that follow different tactics trying to outsmart you. Choose your preferable firearms from 30+ types of weapons with numerous modifications that allow creating hundreds of distinctive lethal combinations.
LEGENDARY MUTANTS WITH DIFFERENT BEHAVIOUR MODELS
Prepare to encounter horrifying mutated creatures that will try to slaughter you following different behaviour model. Each mutant may appear in different subtypes which makes their behaviour less predictible. Truly extreme danger represent regions with lairs with numerous mutants hunting in large groups.
ARTIFACTS OF INCREDIBLE VALUE AND UNFORGIVING ANOMALIES
The most valuable artifacts and secrets of the Zone are hidden in the most dangerous places. Patch 1.4.1 is ready to be downloaded! This is a hotfix for the 2 most common crashes.
- Fixed a crash on booting the title with Simple Mod Loader mod installed.
- Fixed a crash on loading savefiles on title with installed mods (e.g. UETools).

Main Story, Side Quests, and Encounters:
- Fixed an issue where the doors and underground tunnel was closed for some users during the Once More unto the Breach mission.
- Fixed an issue where the Powerplug and Star NPCs were dead during the Dawn of a New Day mission for some users and the mission could not progress.
- Fixed an issue where the quest marker for Sgt. Ivaylov could lead to the wrong location during the In Search of Past Glory mission.
- Fixed an issue where NPCs in Zalissya could not reach their designated location for the final scene during the On the Edge mission which blocked the mission from progression.
- Fixed an issue where the dialog with Prof. Ozersky could not be started after killing Spark NPCs during the A Minor Incident mission.
- Fixed an issue where the Answers Come at a Price mission could not progress if the player fled from Depot during the attack and then looted Chornozem NPC.
- Fixed an issue where the quest marker on Chornozem NPC could lead to the wrong location during the Answers Come at a Price mission.
Technical Part:
- Fixed an issue when NPCs did not use flashlights and did not notice the player for a long time.
- Fixed an issue when NPCs could not reach their designated place outside the player's field of view which blocked some missions.
- Fixed an issue where the dialog with the Scar NPC could not be started during the Visions of Truth mission.
- Fixed an issue where col. Korshunov could disappear after the end of cutscene during the The Last Step mission.
- Fixed an issue where col. Korshunov could slide to the elevator during the cutscene in the The Last Step mission.
- Fixed a crash that occurred at the top of Red Fortress during the The Last Wish mission.
