About the Game

Space Tales is a story-driven sci-fi real-time strategy game where humanity’s expansion into the stars has awakened ancient races and universe-ending threats far beyond its control.
You play as Xander Falcon, a young commander shaped by family tragedy and thrown into a war no one fully understands. Under the banner of the I.P.E., humanity’s Inter-Planetary Expansion army, you will build colonies on hostile alien worlds, command retro-futuristic forces, and uncover the truth behind a conflict that reaches far deeper than the battlefield.

Every mission pushes you to think fast and plan ahead. Expand your base with the HUB system, manage limited resources, secure power lines, and fortify your colony before the next wave hits.
Scout ahead, position your units, protect your base, and react quickly when the battlefield changes. The best commanders read the threat, adapt their plan, and seize the advantage.
If you love RTS games where choices matter, Space Tales gives you plenty to master: resource management, base expansion, unit control, defensive planning, and a complex tech tree for your unit and the defense HUB system.

Face three enemy factions with very different combat styles.
The Kill Bots bring relentless mechanized pressure, forcing you to rethink your unit composition and push beyond the safety of your base. The Necroborg escalate the conflict even further, challenging everything you have learned with fortified defenses, perfectly timed attacks, and a threat that grows stronger the longer you leave it unchecked.
What works against one faction may fail completely against another. To survive, you will need to adapt your defenses, unit composition, and battlefield decisions from one mission to the next.

Massive boss encounters test your timing, positioning, and unit control. Study their attack patterns, choose your moment to engage, and strike carefully: these enemies are too dangerous to brute-force, and they cannot be captured.
Beyond boss fights, the battlefield is also home to powerful neutral monsters. Defeat and capture them, then summon them as battlefield allies to break enemy lines, defend your colony, and change the course of battle.

Space Tales blends tactical warfare with a character-driven sci-fi story where personal loyalty, propaganda, imperial ambition, and cosmic horror collide.
As Xander fights alongside Vespera, a sharp mission coordinator, and Desmond, a loyal recruit, each mission uncovers new questions about humanity’s place among the stars. Every battle draws them deeper into the mystery, revealing more about the war, their allies, and the future they are fighting for.
From fragile first outposts to full-scale planetary assaults, the campaign pushes Xander and his forces through desperate defenses, hostile frontlines, and tactical turning points where every decision can change the course of the mission.
The galaxy is hostile. Your resources are limited. Your enemies do not fight fair. This is Space Tales!

🛠️ Bug Fixes
Mission 9 Survival Mode Map Glitch
Resolved an issue where early access players updating to 1.0 loaded Mission 11 tiles onto Mission 9. This issue was critical and blocking the player from completing the mission.
Note: If you managed to clear this mission since the 1.0 release, this new build will reset your progress back to the start of Mission 9 Survival Mode.
🔍 Known Issues & Workarounds
Incorrect Space Map Marker
Issue: For early access players on version 1.0, the map marker stays on planet Wangor after chapter completion.
Correct Destination: The next chapter takes place on planet Afalee.
Workaround: Locate Afalee in the middle-bottom of the Space Map and land on it manually to start Chapter 3.

Here's a quick reminder of what's in patch 0.1.3:
🐛 FIXES NOW LIVE
Survival Maps Star Rating Lock
Some survival maps were incorrectly capping at 4 stars even after the area was fully pacified. That's been sorted out, so your progress should now reflect accurately.
Glutton Attack Rate
We've made some adjustments to the Glutton's timing and target lock behavior, and it should already feel a bit closer to what we intended. That said, we know it still isn't quite where it needs to be, and we're not done with it. This feature will continue to be worked on!
These might not be the biggest changes in the world, but they're the right ones to make, and they came straight from what you've been telling us. That's really how we want this to work: you flag something, we look into it, we fix it.
There's more in the pipeline. We're continuing to go through your bug reports and feedback, and we'll keep chipping away at the things that need attention. We want this game to be the best version of itself, and your input is what makes that possible.
If you've been enjoying the game, a review on the store page genuinely helps a lot. And if something's bothering you, the Discussions and Bug Report sections are always open.
Thanks for sticking with us.

Greeting Commanders,
Thanks for all the reports and feedback since launch. Everyone have been incredibly helpful in tracking down some nasty bugs. This patch focuses on stability fixes, a quality-of-life improvement, and some balance tuning based on your experiences in the field. Read on for the details!
🔧 BUG FIXES
\ Research Points no longer lost on mission load. A bug was causing collected RP to be discarded when loading into a mission. This patch includes a recovery fix — if you lost RP in a previous session, they will be restored automatically.
Wanderer healing VFX fixed. The visual effect for the Wanderer monster's healing ability was incorrectly scaling up over time. It will now display at the correct size.
Glutton attack rate corrected. The Glutton monster had an attack rate of 0, which caused it to never attack. Its attack rate has been set to 1, restoring its intended behavior.
🎮 PLAYABILITY
Cutscene dialogue is now fully skippable. All cutscene dialogue lines can now be skipped individually, giving you more control over the pacing, whether you're on your first run or your fifth.
⚖️ BALANCE
D.D.D Bomber (Kill Bots) reworked. The D.D.D Bomber unit was unintentionally invulnerable for 1.5 seconds after reaching 0 HP. It now correctly regains 150% of its HP before detonating, making it a more readable and fair threat.
Xander ultimate ability adjusted. Cooldown reduced to 25 seconds and damage set to 1000 for better mid-game viability and flow.
As always, if you run into any issues or have feedback, drop by our Discord or leave a comment below. We read everything.
Until the next pacification,
— The Saigon Dragon Studios Team
