However, the older generation of gamers will not be disappointed with our subtle (and not-so) nods to the games we grew up playing!
Regardless of age, be prepared to load your weapon, put some batteries in your flashlight, and step bravely into the unpredictable world of Zombie Survival Game Online!

Gameplay Styles
There are plenty of different paths to experience Zombie Survival Game Online. You could play solo offline to see how much your friends are holding you back, or team up with them in co-op to show them how much they need you to survive the zombie-infested lands. Another option is to join others in multiplayer to either help others or take what’s theirs. The decision is yours.
Core Game Mechanics
Hone your survival skills in Zombie Survival Game Online by scavenging for resources, building fortified bases, and crafting various items. Day or night, you may find yourself challenged by dynamic weather conditions. Be prepared or you could lose everything.
Variety of Weapons
A diverse array of weapons will ensure you can find the perfect fit for your unique gameplay style.

Currently, we have 9 different weapons and plan on adding many more in the future!
Community-Centric Development
Our development approach is driven by community input to improve existing content, add new features, and foster healthy gameplay. With players’ guidance, we hope to serve the best gameplay features that make the experience enjoyable and immersive while changing and removing features that counter Zombie Survival Game Online’s vision.
Unique AI and Zombie Behavior
Perfecting zombie behavior is quite the challenge, however, they have come a long way from just standing still and screaming at the sky!
Custom Map
Our team is excited to have our community traverse the vast landscape of our customized map.

Our Custom Map - Names will change to what the community deems fit!
Spanning 4km wide and 4km long, we built up many unique locations that will both challenge and reward the player in different ways. From big cities to small little easter eggs hidden in the forest, there are sure to be surprises throughout your adventure.
Music Lovers!
We have a variety of musically talented people involved in the creation of Zombie Survival Game Online. Knowing this, we have set out to create an original soundtrack for the game. Along the way, there were many soundtracks that were dropped from the game. We decided these couldn’t go to waste, so we created an in-game radio. Radios can be found all around the map playing our 106.9 Judgement Day station!

Gunplay Mechanics
We feel that our gunplay and first-person shooting experience will stand out when jumping into the world of Zombie Survival Game Online. Whether you are engaging a horde of zombies, watching over an empty field, or camping on a metropolitan rooftop, there is a weapon choice and gameplay style for you. We have crisp animations that are realistic with an element of fiction but don’t get distracted by the quirks in the middle of a zombie apocalypse...
In-Game Traders and Lore
Currently, we have 12 distinctive traders with lore connecting all of them. While our avenues of presenting this lore to the community are currently restricted, future plans involve being able to communicate with these characters and even getting sent on quests to gain reputation points. For now, though, you can trade supplies between them and find various hints throughout the map that will provide an understanding of the lore over time.

Hey survivors!
We pushed a small hotfix to address a few annoying issues with damage & interactions. We were also made aware by survivor Keelo + friends that there is a healing bug on the hosted servers \[this bug is still around, unfortunately, and we are working on a fix!]. Coop + Singleplayer are not affected by this bug. Here are the technical details from the hotfix:
Client Damage Fixes
Fixed an issue where clients weren’t always taking damage properly in certain situations from the new Zed changes.
We replaced an internal engine damage event so damage should now register more consistently for clients. Please keep an eye out and let us know if you still notice weirdness here. Thanks for the reports, survivors!!
Replicated bIsPushed should allow the client to push multiple times properly.
Fixed code issue where if the montage got interrupted, it would never re-enable zombie movement until the zombie got triggered into a state that would do so automatically
Added a redundancy check 4 seconds after the push to confirm it's still in push state and to ensure renabling movement.
Interaction & Inventory Fixes
Added extra safety checks so you can no longer open a zombie’s inventory while it’s still alive. (If it’s walking around, it’s not a loot box. Yet.)
Fixed two null pointer errors in the Map setup that could trigger when a client player died.
Improved interaction with dead bodies by:
Changing the dead body skeletal mesh collision to behave like a world item.
Adding a wider collision volume that only interacts with the “interact” trace.
This should help when your UI says “Press F” but nothing actually happens.

As always, thanks for sticking with us and sending in bug reports. These hotfixes help keep the foundation solid while we keep working on more updates coming your way.
WINTER IS HERE!!! Stay warm, & stay armed,
- The ZSGO Team
Greetings Survivors!
We've just released a new patch to address critical issues and a sprinkle of some more goodies. Here's what's new:
Save System Adjustments
- Fixed an issue causing some player data to be overwritten for clients connected to servers.
- Fixed a bug where players would incorrectly spawn on the coast after loading their save.
- Resolved a situation where players became permanently stuck in a rad storm if saving and reloading during the event.
- Added additional security on the resource manager save loading to prevent a crash.
- Made the load screen window wider on the main menu.
Gameplay Improvements
- Admin Menu: Keycards can now be spawned directly from the admin menu (for all the cheaters out there).
- Balance Update: Lowered gunpowder requirements across various bullet types, making crafting ammo less resource-intensive.
- World Enhancements: Expanded road infrastructure with additional roadside elements, including light poles, guard rails, and more, for a richer exploration experience.
- Further improvements and developments on the Cave POI.
Thanks for your continued support and feedback. Keep the suggestions coming!
Happy surviving!
Hotfix Update: Don't PANIC. IM NOT PANICING!+#%(&
No worries, survivors. There was just a small misstep made when we made the last build. It allowed everyone to be an admin without our authorization check... OOPS (Dev Ears fault): We often disable this check when doing testing in the editor and forgot to re-enable it. Not to worry, we turned it back on.
In better news, we added new types of tooltips to "important" items. The keycard is the perfect example of an important item. You'll notice they have a tip on where to use them! This was recommended by a few survivors and pointed out by Oreon:

We have made it much easier now! Thank you for the positive feedback, we have been listening with our dev "ear"s. Please keep it coming, as it helps our team significantly and shapes ZSGO.
We also added some new nature ambient tech that needs some tweaking. We are looking to tidy this up before the release of our next update.

Lastly, there were some collision fixes across MainLevel as usual!
Bummed you didn't get to try the admin menu? Well, you're in luck! You can follow our detailed steps here to set the admin menu up on your server!
Good luck out there survivors and prepare yourselves for the upcoming update, v0.4.18, which will come out in February!
P.S. You may be seeing some more keycards lyin around. (shhhhh)

Thank you SO MUCH for the recent bug reports, survivors. The data we received from these came in super clutch for this hotfix. If you ever run into a bug try to remember the reproduction steps, or any possible hints as to why it occurred and post it using our bug report system! There are so many possibilities behind the causes of some bugs, so all the data we can get is super helpful.
Report a Bug!
The highest-priority bug that seems to be occurring is related to the UI. Some survivors experience their inventory stashes disappearing (visually) and the ammo indicator in the UI disappears. Before, it seemed to be extremely rare and only occurred to systems that did not meet the minimum specs. Now, this does not seem to be the case. There are possible fixes in this hotfix; however, it is likely it could still be lurking under our noses, as we are not able to reproduce this bug on our side. We did do some testing on a lower end laptop with 11 FPS and think we may have fixed it. If you run into this, submitting a bug report with your experience will get us 1 step closer! These next two months we will be focused on optimizing the level to increase speeds further!
Thank you, survivors. Here are the hotfix patch notes:
