Hi all, you may have noticed a new update available for A Little to the Left version 3.6.0 and were wondering what it's all about! We've continued to provide bugfixes to some rare issues that had come to our attention. Here's the list of fixes:
Fixed rare freeze that could occur on Daily Tidy Trim Plant level generation
No longer possible for Daily Tidy Books level to solve if books are paired from shortest to tallest or thinnest to widest when symmetrical height or width solutions are in play
Stacked objects grabbed as they are dropping will no longer miss detection of stacks below
Tape roll in Workbench level placement detection is now more reliable
Level Select levels track edge scroll will now continue to push if using mouse input, and cursor is out of bounds but still within window (such as in cases of ultrawide screens)
Wipes dropped on the kit handle in DLC2 First Aid Kit can no longer disappear
Stamps will no longer jump through envelopes or get stuck to the edge of another envelope partially obstructing a valid placement area in the Stamps puzzle (both base game and Daily Tidy version)
Fixed a soft-lock in the Stamps puzzle that could occur when rapidly clicking stamps and envelope
Telescope Daily Tidy will now spawn larger placeable stars and will no longer spawn stars atop predefined constellation stars, to make them easier to see
Soup Cans puzzle solution made more forgiving
Hint pages will no longer get stuck between states if page is flipped while menu is closing
Updated hints for symmetry levels in base game (Shells, Seed Pods, Clovers) for clarity, to communicate both puzzle rules and an example solution layout
Updated font in controller diagrams for consistency
Corrected placement positions of DLC2 Markers for visual consistency
Vibration is now deactivated on any connected controllers by default, if the primary control method does not support vibration
(Steam Only) Verify temporary save data is complete and valid before copying over to save path, to protect from save data corruption
(ARM Only) Resolved an issue that saw render textures such as cleanable surfaces or dynamic scribbles (Post-it Note Daily Tidy) persisting onscreen as static black patches, due to a rendering bug in the compatibility layer in machines with ARM-based processors

Hi everyone, we had a small number of issues that popped up as part of some of our changes introduced in the Packed Update. Not too many fixes here, but a few critical ones, most notably around some Daily Tidy tweaks that produced confusing or unsolvable puzzles.
Fixed errors that were preventing the Daily Tidy Plant puzzle from solving in some variations
Eased difficulty of the Daily Tidy Calendar puzzle redesign by removing multiple cadences, and improving hint
Fixed issue in Daily Tidy Books that saw puzzle start in order, causing puzzle to auto-solve and making it unable to be solved the alternate way
Added an accessibility fallback to the Cat Pet rhythm segment of the Radial Dance Party that if after 1 minute the pet timing criteria has not been met, but more than 8 pets have been attempted, any subsequent pets will be considered successful
Persist and load local backup save data in the case that cloud save operation corrupts save file
Preventing excessive error logging from ZoomManager appearing in log files if save data cannot be loaded
Slow music effect from Sharp Pencils cat swipe will no longer persist into next level in Shuffle mode, or if level was exited to Title via the Retry menu and gameplay was re-entered from there
No longer possible for the Curved Zip Tie and Bit Case to be lost offscreen in the Archive Tool Drawer level
Nail in upper left corner of screen in Parts Organizer puzzle will no longer shift position when level has transitioned in
Removed additional criteria from Colour Assist version of Cupboards & Drawers DLC Coin Box level that required columns for Colour solution to be in a specific row order based on segments count. Columns can now be in any order, to align with logic found in the main game version
Eased required alignment for bottom right Paint Can for Label solution in Paint Cans puzzle
Fixed inconsistent title sizes on Level Selects for “Home Sweet Home” in Polish and “Good Tidyings” in Simplified Chinese
Resolved superficial crash that could occur when quitting the game on Steam by using the “Quit” button on the Title Menu

- Fixed an issue where clicking on objects in the DLC2 Boss while the drawer was closing would cause the Gems phase to be skipped, going straight to the next objects puzzle phase, leading to a blocker state where the level would not trigger completion upon solving all three objects puzzle phases
- Picked up Gems in the DLC2 Boss will no longer appear behind other Gems
- The Heart Robot in DLC2 Robots level could have Hearts placed down near its knees if the Robot had not first had its state changed, now Hearts can only be placed in the open chest cavity.
- Hearts container for Heart Robot in DLC2 Robots level can no longer become misaligned if the Robot was moved partially offscreen while the chest cavity was open.
- Objects are now unable to be picked up while a drawer is transitioning state. This behaviour could lead to a condition where objects could become stuck in a partially non-interactive state and unable detect targets.
- Objects can no longer be pulled out of a closed drawer if very close to the edge (such as in the DLC2 Materials Drawer level), which could lead to objects becoming lost out of play.
- When holding an object, drawer in DLC2 Combs level now only automatically opens on handle hover
- Selecting the “Play” button on the Title Screen will now resume play from last unlocked level (or last played level if New Game+) when main Campaign is selected.
- Boxes will no longer become non-interactive in the DLC1 Nested Boxes level if set down loose within the cabinet, and another Box is placed into its target placement location atop of it.
- Improved action when clicking the toggle buttons in the Lamp level when Tap to Hold setting is active.
- Hacky Sack in the DLC2 Balls level now reliably collapses when hitting the floor, and will no longer become inadvertently rotated if had collided with another ball.
- Objects in the Buttons level, and associated sorting Daily Tidy level, now exhibit shadows.
- Radial Dance Party will now progress more reliably from Cat Toys and Soup Cans phases
- Improved compatibility of Quick Select functions in Radial Dance Party
- Cacti in DLC2 Cacti level can no longer get stuck floating in the air
- DLC2 Cacti level will no longer solve for height solution if the Cacti are in correct order, but two pots are reversed
- It is no longer possible to clear the paw prints through the newspapers or rug in the first phase of the Wet Paw Prints level
- The bottom right plant leaf in second phase of the Wet Paw Prints level will no longer become non-interactive if clicked immediately when the phase objects become interactable
- Cursor will no longer highlight paw prints as interactive in the Wet Paw Prints level
- Fixed layering issues with the newspaper and rug in the Wet Paw Prints level
- Prints left by the cat in the third phase of the Wet Paw Prints level can no longer land out of bounds

- Icons on the computer in the Desktop Computer level will now detect placement if another previously occupying icon is moved out of the way
- Art for double-barrelled and banded Whistles in the DLC2 Whistles puzzle updated for clarity

Details
Upgraded A Little to the Left to use Unity's 2021 LTS version, which resolves issues with the game ignoring inputs while in a 'windowed' state on macOS Sonoma.

Today (April 5th) saw the release of the latest patches for both the PC (1.2.2) and Nintendo Switch (1.2.1) versions of A Little to the Left. The full details of which are below.

Special Events:
- Addition of “The Something Eggstra” Easter event. Four hand-crafted egg-themed levels running for the span of four days between April 7th to 10th.
Daily Tidy
- Spice Jars Daily Tidy puzzle will no longer run into conflict state when both solutions have the same jar order.
- Spider Web Daily Tidy puzzle no longer crashes on load of some variations.
- Removed Microscope Daily Tidy puzzle from rotation.
- Reduced the ability for Daily Tidy puzzles to repeat in quick cycle.
Gameplay:
- Reduced sensitivity of swap for objects in fixed grid puzzles (such as the Rocks Gradient puzzle).
- Spice Jars campaign puzzle will no longer randomize colour complexion.
- Spice Jars campaign puzzle now has unique surface curves for both rows.
- Fixed the Spice Jars puzzle solving and registering the wrong solution.
- Post-it Notes on Computer Desktop will now only accept the order represented in the icon on the computer screen.
Achievements:
- Implemented streak repairer for stalled streaks.
- Helpful Hints no longer conflicts with Hint Hunter, and will unlock with the reveal of any hint, whether previously seen or not.
- Keep Away will no longer trigger on completion of another level if the Place Setting level was left via the Level Select.
- "Objects Tidied" stat will no longer increment on level skip.
One of the topics of discussion has surrounded the Daily Tidy and Steam Achievements. With help from your feedback, our patch v1.1.9 has made some changes that we hope will make the Daily Tidy and Steam Achievements more accommodating.
Daily Tidy
We’re reducing the number of solutions required to be awarded the top 3 Daily Tidy badge tiers, so more players can enjoy them- a full year for top rank was far too much! As a result, the completion count for the 90 puzzles solved badge will reduce to 50, the 180 tier will become 75, and the 365 will now be 100.
A full list of Daily Tidy updates includes:
- Reducing number of solutions required for the Daily Tidy top-tier badges from 90/180/365 to 50/75/100
- "Spice Jars" Daily Tidy will no longer produce variations where both solutions have the same order, which was resulting in the second solution not being detected
- Objects can no longer blend into the background in "Symmetry" Daily Tidy levels
- Removed the variation of the "Symmetry" Daily Tidy that featured the bread tags sprites, as it was confusing with the “Bread Tags” puzzle
- "Spider Web" Daily Tidy will no longer produce variations with overlapping fly placements
Achievements
We have decided to keep only Achievements that can be unlocked at any time, during any play through, so that all players can strive for them. This means that the following achievements will be removed, as they are tied to limited-time events and not currently unlockable:

- Outputting level index and randomizer seed to Daily Tidy menu for reference
- Daily Tidy menu will no longer change immediately to next days Daily Tidy interface if the player is in the menu or actively playing a Daily Tidy puzzle at the time of a new day start (12:00am)
