About the Game
Welcome to Dumbville's least reputable construction company! Dumb Ways to Build is a physics-based co-op game filled with deadly construction jobs that no sane crew would touch. Safety violations are likely, survival is optional, and your co-workers are the real occupational hazard. It is time to rally your crew and put your building skills (and friendships) to the ultimate test!
Grab, rotate, and throw anything not bolted down to use as makeshift building materials. Fire your trusty nail gun to staple together sketchy bridges, ramps, and structures. You and your crew must work together to build your own platforms, solve deadly challenges and escape the jobsite.
Teamwork makes the dream work... but in Dumbville, it usually just gets everyone killed. Gather a team of up to four friends to build together or face the chaos alone in Solo Play! Utilize a tool belt full of physics-based hardware that can either help or derail your crew. Will you take a sledgehammer to that steel beam, or ‘accidentally’ launch your buddy off a roof? The choice is yours!
Take on distinctly dangerous Crisis Jobs, each requiring teamwork and inventive tool usage! Dive headfirst into hazard-filled maps, each one filled with unique secrets and challenges, rewarding dedicated builders with unlockable cosmetics and extra challenge modes.

Hey Builders!
Today, we have released a Hotfix for Dumb Ways to Build on Steam, which looks to address server connection issues, primarily for some players in Japan and Russia who have been unable to connect to multiplayer games. We have also implemented a fix for players who were experiencing an issue where items would disappear from their inventory.
Please continue to report any connectivity or other bugs through our Helpshift page. We will continue to monitor any issues as they arise!

Bug fixes
Fixed an issue for players who are unable to connect to multiplayer games in Russia and Japan.
Fixed an issue where picking up a new item with a full inventory, while not currently holding an item, caused an existing inventory item to drop and teleport away, causing it to disappear from the player's perspective.

Performance Updates
Holstered tools and idle animation improvements to reduce network issues.
Ragdoll animation improvements after throwing or dropping a player.
Animation improvements to the fans in ‘Drain Strain’ to reduce network issues.
Improvements to Room Code generation to eliminate region-specific character issues.
On launch, the game will now detect PC hardware and specifications to automatically adjust graphics settings. Changing settings manually will override this.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where duplicate Room Codes could be generated.
Fixed an issue that allowed special characters such as !@# to be generated in room codes.
Fixed an issue where a player will not take fall damage if they are dropped off (not thrown) off an edge.
Fixed an issue preventing players from accessing the ‘Invite Friends’ menu while inside a cross-platform lobby.
Fixed an issue where players could hold Sewer Slimes and Piranhas to use as a platform to boost and lift other players.
Removed Inflatable Duck exploit allowing players to “fly”.
Fixed an issue where the first job in Hotel Hapless will fail to complete if the host of the session disconnects from the lobby.
Fixed an issue where the Crane keeps moving if an object on the button of the pad is destroyed.
Fixed an issue where players could receive Lobby Invites while in screens where invites could not be accepted.
Fixed the framerate issue caused by having an Oculus virtual microphone selected as the microphone.
Fixed an issue where duplex speaker/mics would not show up as an option when choosing the microphone.
Fixed an issue where the Steam EULA pop up would sometimes appear mid-game.

Hey Builders!
We just released a patch for Dumb Ways to Build on Steam to address reported issues.
We are aware that users in China may be having issues accessing Dumb Ways to Build. This is due to a whitelisting issue with some accelerator providers. This may also affect Voice Chat in-game for some users.
This update should address connection and voice chat issues affecting some players in China. This update may disable voice chat for some players. We continue to investigate this issue and will provide an update for affected players soon.
A fix has also been implemented to ensure duplicate room code cannot be generated.
