About the Game
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire from Fumi Games is the kind of stylistic gamble that either lands hard or doesn't land at all — a first-person shooter rendered entirely in hand-drawn rubber-hose animation, frame-by-frame, evoking 1930s Steamboat Willie cartoons but with actual gunplay underneath. Black-and-white throughout, with Cuphead-tier art polish and a jazz-noir detective story holding it all together.
You're Jack Pepper, private investigator in a corrupt rodent metropolis, and the campaign mixes classic FPS shootouts with detective sequences (interrogations, evidence boards, dialogue choices that affect routes). It's pulp noir storytelling carrying the weight; the cartoon visuals are the hook that gets you through the door.
Released April 2026 as ElAmigos, build 22814717. 6.4 GB installed. Fully offline-playable. Single-player only — no co-op or competitive modes are in the design.

Platform Specific Changes
PC
Implemented Alpha Widescreen support for PC platforms. Players will now be able to play MOUSE: P.I. For Hire in widescreen.
Note: This is an Alpha Feature as weapons and first-person animations are still hand-drawn for a 16:9 frame, so there may be a hard edge visible for some weapons and animation sprites. To support ultrawide in full without these drawbacks, every weapon and animation will need to be redrawn to properly scale to the ultrawide perspective, and this will take some time.
Fixed an issue where changing movement bindings would not update when driving Jack’s car around the Mouseburg Overworld and in the Lockpicking Minigame.
The default Field of View (FOV) value is now set to 90 on PC Handhelds, instead of 105.
Added the ability for keyboard rebinding on PC Handhelds if a keyboard is connected.
Skipping cutscenes on PC Handhelds will no longer result in situations where the audio will continue with a black screen.
Resolved an issue where pressing the ‘ESC’ key before the newspaper animation ends causes the player to softlock.
The player will correctly be able to continue the quest in the ‘Vaudeville’ level after taking the photo in Bandel’s green room.
The player will correctly unholster their weapon when leaving the bar in the ‘Clergy Row’ level.
Resolved an issue where discarding unsaved settings may result in the game screen resolution being set to the lowest setting.
Reduced the likelihood that save corruption may occur across PC platforms.
