About the Game
The incremental auto battler. Build an orc army, watch it fight, and make it unstoppable!
Orc Incremental puts you in command of a growing warband of dark forces. Recruit all kinds of units, set formations, draw powerful cards, and ascend for permanent power bonuses to make every run hit harder than the last. Idle progression meets real tactical decisions, and it never stops scaling.
DRAFT YOUR ARMY
Draw cards to add units and totems to your warband. Units come in multiple rarities and fill different battlefield roles, and the right mix is what gets you past the next wall. Totems provide passive bonuses that can change how your whole army performs. Every card you pick shapes your composition and pushes your run in a different direction.
SET YOUR FORMATION. LET THEM LOOSE.
Your army marches forward and fights on its own. When your strategy is working, you watch it rip through wave after wave. When you hit a wall, rethink your lineup or swap in new units.
CAST SPELLS. BREAK THROUGH.
You can support your army with spells. Drop a Blizzard to slow a boss that's tearing through your frontline, or land a Fireball at the right moment to close out a fight you were about to lose.
ASCEND. RETURN STRONGER.
At some point your army stops being enough. That's when you ascend (Dark Rebirth). Reset your run, keep permanent bonuses (for damage, health, gold, etc.) and unlock new units and challenges that weren't available before. The early game opens up as your power grows, and the later milestones keep pushing you further. Every Dark Rebirth makes you stronger and opens up new goals.

Steam Patch Notes
Official update history
This is our first major update since release. Among other things, it is the first of many balance updates as we continue to improve the game. This patch focuses on buffing late game units with increased base damage and improved upgrades, helping them scale better and making them more viable. We’ve also moved some upgrades between vendors and adjusted some upgrade costs.
FIXES
Fixed a serious physics issue where units in the base interacting near the edge of the walkable area could be ejected out of the map and disappear from sight. Thanks to sinwa/HEALTHY and Kerry for providing the first clips of the issue which finally helped us reproduce it. (Really sorry about this one.)
Units in the base found outside the walkable map bounds are now teleported back to the walkable area. This should also restore units lost to the issue above.
Fixed an issue where killing one Wizard in the Demon level killed all Wizards.
Fixed an issue where some Accursed Elf upgrades also applied to enemies. Thanks to Kerry for reporting this.
GAMEPLAY
Fixed issue causing the Golem to not be able to rotate in some angles to face his attackers.
VISUALS
Removed stray pixel from the right eye in the Accursed Elf's Dark Rebirth illustration. Thanks to simonatdi5cord for pointing this out.
Updated the icon art for the upgrades "Collateral", "Advanced Hooking", and "Longshot".
UNIT BALANCE
Common Witch Doctor's base damage increased from 10 to 25.
Rare Witch Doctor's base damage increased from 10 to 32.
Epic Witch Doctor's base damage increased from 10 to 25.
Legendary Witch Doctor's base damage increased from 10 to 35.
Common Assassin's base damage increased from 10 to 12.
Rare Assassin's base damage increased from 16 to 22.
Epic Assassin's base damage increased from 14 to 20.
Legendary Assassin's base damage increased from 22 to 28.
Common Warg Raider's base damage increased from 8 to 12.
Rare Warg Raider's base damage increased from 11 to 20.
Epic Warg Raider's base damage increased from 12 to 20.
Legendary Warg Raider's base damage increased from 16 to 22.
Rare Dragon's base damage increased from 23 to 35.
Epic Dragon's base damage increased from 23 to 32
Legendary Dragon's base damage increased from 25 to 43.
NOTE: For the units where the Rare version has more damage than the Epic version, it is not a typo, in these cases the Epic unit makes up for lower damage through its other attributes. Thanks to Kaesar in the comments for pointing out the need for clarification. (& thanks to KirbMON for pointing out my clarification was wrong 🤦)

MINOR UPDATE v1.0.2b
This minor update was released shortly after v1.0.2 to update some missing translations for some languages (Chinese was especially affected) that weren't updated previously due to an internal mistake.
This is our first update after release. It's a small emergency update to address a serious issue affecting international users, with a few tag-along changes.
FIXES
Fixed a critical crash that happened when pressing Play if the Windows username contained international characters. Thanks to 바보 for reporting this and helping us confirm the fix.
GAMEPLAY
The Juggernaut is no longer affected by knockback.
QUALITY-OF-LIFE
Limited camera movement in the Blight Tree so the camera can no longer move too far away from the tree.
Much bigger updates will follow soon. Future updates will focus on addressing the most important early feedback and also on improving some of the art in the game.
The demo will no longer be available on the store starting tomorrow, July 11th at 16:00 UTC.
This means the demo will no longer be available for new downloads and will stop receiving updates. However, if you already have the game installed, it will not be deleted, and you will be able to continue playing the demo indefinitely.
Your save files will be compatible with the full game, and you do not need to take any special steps to transfer them. Even if you uninstall the demo, your saves will remain available. (In case you are interested, they are stored in %APPDATA%/OrcIncremental and are also backed up via Steam Cloud.)
Thank you to everyone who participated in the demo!
We will be posting updates to announce the new content for the final game and the release date.
MINOR UPDATES
Also, here are also some minor updates we released since the v0.09 update:
UPDATE (1): A minor update v0.09.01 was released shortly after this version to fix an issue with the new right-click Mute upgrade functionality.
UPDATE (2): A minor update v0.09.02 was released after this version on July 1st with the following changes:
The upgrade "Triton juice" is no longer affected by bloodline enhancements. Thanks to StoneAge, horsczt and Damokles for the feedback.
Fixed an issue causing the "!" notification icon to display incorrectly. Thanks to StoneApe and TheLibrarian262 for reporting the issue.
UPDATE (3): A minor update v0.09.03 was released after this version on July 3rd with the following changes:
Fixed issue with a previously unlocked level of an upgrade whose upgrade limit was lowered showing the previous upgrade level, now unattainable. The gold amount spent on the update will be returned to the player in this instance. Thanks to Cryonix and ᔑᔑℸ ̣ ᓵ↸ᔑリ↸ 𝙹𝙹𝙹𝙹 ᒷᒷᒷᒷᒷᒷ ᔑリᔑリ for reporting.
Tentative issue to a rare issue that could cause two units to disappear from the base when dragged to the same location.
QUALITY-OF-LIFE
Unit cards in the base now show attributes in real time, including buffed values. Thanks to jmills for the feedback.
Added the ability to mute upgrades by right-clicking them. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form poster who suggested this.
Added a Gold Pickup Range upgrade (with WIP art). Thanks to Tjommel for the suggestion.
Portal and Temple upgrades now appear first in their respective vendors.
When completing a challenge, the completion prompt now shows the reward you earned. Thanks to firstborndragon for the feedback.
Added a "Go back one level when losing to a boss" checkbox in settings. Thanks to Chamaeleonx for the suggestion.
GAMEPLAY
Unit and Totem rarity unlock upgrades now stop before unlocking the Cursed rarity level because items of Cursed rarity are not available on the demo and will be added for the final game.
When drawing cards, the same Totem type can no longer appear multiple times in the same draw.
In the Exterminator Trial, split units now correctly inherit their parent units' buffs. (This makes the challenge harder.)
In the Cleansing Fire Trial, Fireball healing no longer decays on each hit. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form poster who reported this.
In the Artillery Master Trial, friendly units can no longer deal damage through upgrades or other damage bonuses. Thanks to Chamaeleonx for reporting this.
Added a hard unit speed cap of 4000 game units/sec.
BALANCE
Added a rage stacking cap, with an accompanying Rage Stacking upgrade on the blight tree that raises the maximum number of Rage stacks with diminishing returns (this uses placeholder WIP art and name).
We rebalanced many upgrades to scale more consistently, especially unit damage/health upgrades and late-game percentage-based bonuses.
Feral Resilience: friendly max health changed from flat +20 to x1.05 max health.
Iron Will: Orc Warrior damage changed from flat +20 to x1.5 damage per level; now capped at 3 levels; costs changed to 3 / 7000 / 57000.
Glyph of Fortitude: Orc Warrior health progression changed from +50 / +40 / +20 / +20 / +20 / +20 to +40 / +30 / +20 / +10 / +10 / +10; now PreAdditive; later costs increased to 3500 / 19500.
Unbound Fury: rage health threshold modifier changed to PreAdditive.

Buccaneering Contract: Knight gold drop min/max changed from flat +30 to +30% primary multiplier gain.
Frostspire Extract: Witch Doctor slow amount changed to PreAdditive.
Zealous Fervor: friendly damage changed from flat +10 to x1.2.
Jackpot: double chest chance changed to PreAdditive.
Goldcaller: critical gold drop chance changed to PreAdditive.

Plunder Advance: critical gold drop multiplier changed to PreAdditive.
Tyrant’s Life Force: changed from flat health gain per max-level step to +10% primary multiplier gain per step; tooltip value now displays as percent.
Offering: each-kill damage buff changed to primary multiplier gain, no longer floored; tooltip value now displays as percent.
Thorny Bonds: Orc Warrior reflected damage amount changed from PostAdditive to PreAdditive.
NOTE: Like we explained in a previous changelog, the balance in the demo remains lacking, especially after a certain number of hours played, as the main contributor to the strength of a unit in OI is the availability of upgrades, and many upgrades for the units that the player gets later in game are coming in the final game.
FIXES
The Trial completion condition that previously required reaching level 60 now correctly requires winning level 60. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form poster who reported the issue.
Fixed an issue where the Grub hover area used to decide whether to show the stats tooltip was only a small circle around its head. The whole body can now be hovered.
Fixed an issue in the Exterminator Trial where, if all enemies died at the same time from a Totem while split units were still spawning, the game could show Victory while enemy units were still left in the battle. Thanks to ivanchoakd and dan2610 for reporting this.
Fixed a memory leak in the Exterminator Trial where split units were not removed from memory, causing the game to run slower and slower over time.
Fixed an issue where the Totem combination of Amber Bear and Ancient Idol could revive a unit for a single frame. Thanks to puscasuiondaniel and Damokles for reporting this.
Fixed an issue where the selected language was not being saved correctly. This was released earlier as a v0.08.0x minor patch due to the urgency of it. Thanks to dreamofhero and everyone else who reported this.
An ambient music track that was causing an erroneous DMCA positive at Twitch streams was removed temporarily. Twitch has been contacted with the required copyright information and we will re-add it when we confirm that the issue has been resolved. This was also released earlier as a v0.08.0x minor patch due to the urgency of it.
We reworked the save system to address different issues some players have been having with saving. Thank you for bug reporting and apologies for the lost game data to Dizastor and Gigaslash, and anybody else affected by this issue. The three following fixes address different scenarios that can contribute to this issue.
Added a startup check that verifies the game can write to the save folder. This will prevent frustration in edge cases where the save directory is not writable in a given setup.
Fixed save handling for Windows usernames with non-ASCII/international characters.
Added redundant local save copies in LocalSaveCopies next to CloudSave. This means that if there is some issue with steam Cloud sync there's still a copy of the save always saved locally.
NOTE: In the future we will update the changelog of the latest major version if we release minor hotfixes like this, in addition to announcing them in the next changelog like we have been doing until now. Thanks to Nosserob for the feedback that we should be more transparent about these minor unannounced updates as an unexplained update can cause frustration for players.
UI AND TEXT
Added an info icon next to Blight gain text to clarify how Blight is gained. Blight gained is based on the maximum level reached and the total gold gained during the current Dark Rebirth cycle. Thanks to Néné and the anonymous feedback form posters who pointed out the confusion.
Added Totem tooltip text explaining that Totems stack. Totems that stack in special ways now also include additional explanatory text. Thanks to Chamaeleonx for raising the question.
Added clearer locked Temple tooltip text explaining that the Temple is unlocked at the Acolyte.
Added clearer locked-building tooltip text for the Shamanic Hut and Barracks, explaining that Trials and Missions are unlocked at the Accursed Elf.
Added clearer vendor-colored locked-building tooltip text for Hut/Barracks/Temple unlock hints.
END-OF-DEMO APPROACHING
The page for the demo will be taken down sometime in the first weeks of July. We will announce the date soon when we know. This means that the demo won't be available for new downloads and it will stop receiving updates, but if you already have the game installed it won't be deleted and you will be able to keep playing the demo indefinitely.
Your saves will be loadable from the final game, and you don't have to do anything special to port them over. Even if you uninstall the demo the saves will still be available. (If you want to know, they are saved in %APPDATA%/OrcIncremental, they are also saved to Steam Cloud.)
QUALITY-OF-LIFE
Added draw peeking. You can now peek at the base when choosing new cards, to help you inform your decision, by clicking on the eye icon below the cards. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form poster who suggested this.
Added a DPS meter that can be enabled in settings. Thanks to Comatose, rolo7843, dennycascade, and the anonymous feedback form posters who suggested this.
While on a Warpath, the Auto-Progress icon is now replaced with an X button that stops the Warpath gracefully.
GAMEPLAY & BALANCE
Killing summoners causes them to no longer complete the ritual to spawn the Demon boss. Summoners are also tougher to kill now. Thanks to Damokles and TotalGearHead for the feedback.
Added a global unit movement speed cap of 4,000 units per second.
Increased Dragon's base damage:
Common Dragon: 20 -> 60
Rare Dragon: 23 -> 63
Epic Dragon: 23 -> 63
Legendary Dragon: 25 -> 65
Reduced Shaman's base damage:
Common Shaman: 35 -> 15
Rare Shaman: 50 -> 30
Epic Shaman: 50 -> 30
Legendary Shaman: 60 -> 40
An important note about balance in the demo: The most important contributor to a unit’s effectiveness in Battlefront - the main incremental game mode, as we call it to differentiate it from future planned game modes - is the availability of specific upgrades and rarities for that unit. Since some of that will only be available in the final version of the game, the demo can never be truly balanced after a few hours of gameplay. Nonetheless, we'll keep including balance changes in the demo if we think they improve the demo experience. We are very happy to see so many people sticking with the basic game loop trying to achieve higher and higher levels.
FIXES
Fixed a visual issue where some base elements could still be hovered while drawing cards.
Fixed an issue with the circular attack patterns of Wizard bosses. Thanks to putz12 for reporting this.
Fixed an issue causing Totems in battle to get stacked on the same position, causing them to oscillate. Totems now keep the same spacing they have in the base.
Added a hard cap on simultaneous sounds to prevent runaway sound stacking and improve performance. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form posters who reported overwhelming stacking of sound effects.
Fixed an issue where enchantments used the card rarity instead of the enchantment rarity. Thanks to SuwinTzi for reporting this.
Fixed an issue where Dragon attacks could miss targets that were very close to the Dragon. Thanks to Taytay II for reporting this.
Fixed an issue causing Witch Doctors to try to keep healing each other forever after their healing decay is fully in effect. Witch Doctors with no healing power left will now refrain from attempting healing. Thanks to JarvisGames and unwanted for reporting this.
UI AND TEXT
Added a simple card drawing animation. We'll keep improving this aspect of the interface which is still very dry.
The "Auto-Progress" text is now a localised string and will be translated in the future as the next batch of translations arrive. (We work with human translators so many translations lag behind our changes.)
Note: Some performance improvements were released in the previous version 0.06 but we forgot to mention it in the changelog for that version. Thanks to Hoopa for noticing and reminding us!
GAMEPLAY
Units now have a stronger bias toward targeting enemies in front of them. This results in more natural-looking battles.
Lowered the bonus sticky range that units receive while attacking to prevent disengagement from 40 to 20.
FIXES
Fixed an issue causing some players to only hear audio in the left channel in surround setups. This could also happen with headphones if they were using any kind of 3D audio tech that works by creating virtual channels. Thanks to acoypot, "profesional dumdum", and the anonymous feedback form posters who reported this issue.
Fixed an uncommon issue with the Warpath defeat condition that could result in the Warpath stopping without the game acknowledging the defeat.
Fixed an issue where the gold amount could incorrectly display decimals, such as with the Chieftain bonus that increases gold gains.
Fixed enemy health becoming infinite at level 3480 due to some attributes not using enough precision. Apologies to ASF_SnugglyPuffs for stopping his generational run.
If infinite values are actually reached in the future, they will now correctly display as "inf" instead of "infe15".
Fixed an issue causing the secondary tooltips of upgrades to overlap the tooltip upgrades sometimes (this was released earlier as v0.06.01).
LOCALIZATION
Added work-in-progress localized text for Czech, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (LatAm), French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Chinese. About 90% of the text is translated on average across these languages, and some text will still appear in English. We are working to finish these translations as soon as possible.
Hungarian, Portuguese (Portugal), and Thai are now listed as planned for the full version.
QUALITY-OF-LIFE
Vendors and buildings now flash when you unlock them, making it easier to notice what you have unlocked.
Added secondary tooltips to upgrade tooltips, explaining unit categories and statuses like Rage.
FIXES
A small note about v0.05: we also pushed a hotfix after the last changelog to fix a crash. Thanks to putz12 and Syrex for reporting it.
Fixed a rendering-related crash.
Fixed several late-game lag issues. Thanks to Syrex for reporting this.
Flying coins now accelerate harder when they fall behind, so they can keep up better when players are progressing very quickly. Thanks to putz12 for reporting this issue.
Fixed an issue where Victory or Defeat text could appear off-screen if a battle ended while the player was in the Portal screen.
Fixed an issue where units could clip through the base stairs.
The Totem beam VFX is no longer stretched across large distances until it becomes a 1-pixel line when the Totem is off-screen during very high-speed Warpath runs.
Tentative fix for a Warpath issue where the camera could become detached from the action. Thanks to putz12 for reporting this and helping us test it.
UI
Added additional font styles to the interface.
Tweaked the Sacrifice UI.
GAMEPLAY
Added Warpath, an Accursed Elf upgrade. If Level Auto-Progress is enabled and you win a battle without losing any allies, your surviving units keep fighting through new enemy waves. When the Warpath ends, you receive mini-chests for the levels cleared during it. This is our first toggleable upgrade that you can enable or disable with right-click on the upgrade button.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072337/badd56306e8a8de879a860d1315a33a9b349540f.png"]
Experimental Boosters and Vampiric Claws now benefit all units, not only Orc Warriors, so units that gain Rage from other sources, such as Totems, can also benefit from them.
Experimental Boosters no longer requires Unbound Fury and Road Rage.
Plunder Advance has moved behind Goldcaller in the upgrade tree, and now has a description explaining what it improves.
Silver Idol now uses the exploded corpse's Max HP for the explosion damage.
FIXES
Audio now works on a stock Steam Deck without the need for mods like Proton-GE. Thanks to dasnekos and the anonymous feedback form posters who reported Linux audio issues.
Fixed an issue where Offering did not apply its damage buff. Thanks to SnugglyPuffs, miraclepossible, and the anonymous feedback form posters who reported this.
Fixed an issue causing coins to disappear on the first level of a biome. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form poster who reported this. We are not sure if this is the same coin issue MrMoyer reported, but thanks for your report too. We will keep an eye out for related issues.
Fixed an issue where starting a save at a higher game zoom level could prevent units near the top or bottom of the battle rectangle from spawning the first time your units spawned.
Fixed an issue where HP and ATK values in the bottom-right tooltip could overflow into strange values when they became very large. Thanks to Daz for reporting this.
Fixed an issue causing Black Hole to prevent the Grub from attacking for the rest of combat. Thanks to Comatose and an anonymous user for reporting this.
Fixed a potential crash caused by reflected damage.
Fixed Dragon shadows clipping through corpses.
The camera now correctly moves back after an overpowered vanguard unit who left the troops eventually dies. Thanks to Daz for reporting this.
QUALITY OF LIFE
Freshly spawned units walking down the cliff can now be selected.
VISUAL TWEAKS
The Victory and Defeat banners now retain their intended size when the game is zoomed out.
Totems now follow the army as the action moves right.
Added side colliders to the base rectangle so units can no longer be pushedout through the sides.
UI
The Rage tooltip now correctly shows the current values for its movement speed, attack speed, and healing bonuses. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form poster who pointed out the inconsistent Rage tooltip.
Updated the descriptions for Twilight Catcher, Jade Snake, Desert Eagle, and Silver Idol.
The news icon can now fit longer news headlines instead of having them overflow.
A small note: We are aware of many balance and design issues, and we thank everyone for the very thoughtful feedback we have been receiving about them. The reason you are not seeing balance changes in these patches is that they require more time to test and are being worked on concurrently while we release these frequent fix-focused patches. Thanks for your patience. We are working very hard to polish the demo as much as we can.

FIXES
Fireball Bounce and Fireball Pierce upgrades now correctly persist through prestige. Thanks to Medwich for reporting this.
Fixed an issue where Demonic Exactors could be less effective depending on performance. Thanks to Byaweirdo for reporting this.
Fixed an issue where Witch Doctors could target injured Dragons with healing flasks even though flasks can not affect flying units. Thanks to the anonymous feedback form poster who reported this.
Fixed an issue causing Wizard corpses to not appear.
Fixed an issue where old Totem events could carry over into the next level.
The unit hover tooltip now correctly displays Totem names.
GAMEPLAY
Added a global hard limit of 30 attacks per second.
Rage changed from a "whole multiplier" attribute type to a "base percentage gain".
BUGS
Fixed an issue where Orc Warriors could miss their low-health Rage activation.
QUALITY-OF-LIFE
Added units names to the unit hover tooltip.
There is now an option in the settings to make the unit hover tooltip float and follow the mouse cursor.
Blocked the warband area on the right so units can no longer be pushed out of the warband accidentally by other vanguard units.
UI
The hover tooltip for the Power resource now tells the player that they can upgrade it at the Alchemist.
A new tooltip has been added to explain to the player how to get more power the first time that the full-capacity message triggers.
Note: This patch fixes the crash that some players have been experiencing due to uncontrolled attack speed accumulation.
We just launched our demo yesterday to a very promising start. Big thanks to everyone for giving our demo a try and to all the content creators that have covered our game so far on behalf of us and our publisher Playsaurus!
Changelog v0.02
QUALITY-OF-LIFE
Base percentage upgrades now include the word "base" in it to clarify their nature. For example "+20% base damage".
Implemented "Advanced info" mode for tooltips. You can now press Alt to see the formula used to apply an upgrade value. You can also permanently enable this feature in settings.
We have swapped the positions of the spells "Blizzard" and "Black Hole" to better reflect their expected acquisition order.
GAMEPLAY
The legendary shaman now has a 10% chance to apply Rupture to the target.
All the heals in the game now have a bit of decay (2% decreased healing power every application) to avoid stalemate situations in which two units heal themselves and prevent the battle from finishing.
FIXES
Fixed an issue causing the Orc Warrior to be able to be given a useless "Accuracy" enchantment, which only benefits ranged units.
Fixed a frame-dependency issue causing a unit to be unable to attack anymore if their attack speed surpassed the frame rate of the game.
VISUAL TWEAKS
Adjusted the upgrade tooltip layouts so that the first line of the description isn’t cut off by the icon.
In upgrade tooltips, the textual description, if present, now appears below the cost, not above.
GOING THROUGH SOME OF YOUR FEEDBACK
Many players have experienced confusion regarding the tooltips that say, for example, that they will give +20% damage but then the increase goes from 56 to 58 which is much less than 20%. This is because these are base damage upgrades and there's other stuff that goes into the final number in these cases. Not helping the player understand this was a big misstep on our part and the first quality-of-life fixes in the changelog above should address that. Note that we still need to do some work to inform players that the “advanced info” mode even exists, but this update was meant to be a quick emergency hotfix.
Some players have pointed out some unsatisfying design choices regarding the scaling of many upgrades, especially when considered together. We agree, and we are working on a major balance patch to address this but it's not something we can release as a hotfix. We'll have to test this for a bit first, but it's coming in the near future.
An anonymous user (through our feedback form, which is accessible in the game menu and whose submissions we read and consider individually) points out that audio isn't working on Linux. We confirmed that the game doesn't have audio on the Deck. We'll fix this, for sure, and we plan to submit the game to Steam Deck Verify and have great Deck support.
An anonymous user on the feedback form also requested a comparative DPS meter. We are not completely sure what this player had in mind exactly but we are looking into options to show DPS. (Feel free to reach out on Discord if you are reading this.)
A note about our feedback form: If you send feedback through our form, anonymous feedback is totally fine. We want to encourage lots of feedback so we give you the option. But if you think we may have follow-up questions (especially in the case of bugs), please consider leaving your Discord user name. You can also share your feedback on our Discord server.
Cheers!
