About the Game
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance is a real-time strategy game based on the Terminator: Dark Fate universe that follows the war between humanity and Legion's synthetic intelligent machine network.
In the single-player campaign, you take the role of a commander in the Founders, a force made up of the remnants of the US military and guide your army in an attempt to foil Legion's plan to exterminate the last remnants of humanity. In skirmish and multiplayer modes, play as three very diverse factions: Founders, Movement and Legion.
Take control of an army carried over from mission to mission on a series of large strategic maps. Make decisions about unit placement, battle tactics and abilities so that you don’t just survive but can become the leader of the resistance against the machines. Hone your skills and military expertise by replaying and achieving the best possible outcomes.
Dynamic battlefields: realistic tactics and consequences
Engage in complex, realistic battles where your tactical decisions are vital to your survival and ultimate victory. Use a variety of military equipment, vehicles and ammunition types in your battles against the enemy. Recruit and train new units, assign new skills and acquire new weapons and equipment to continue the resistance.
Encounter tense battles. Your battlefield tactics and choices have deep consequences that will impact through the campaign, with other factions and characters either joining you or fighting against you, and with certain missions being available or not depending on your actions.
Your resources are limited and you must protect your army. Weapons of war receive damage through a modular component damage system where armour characteristics, component malfunctions and hull structure all affect if your troops survive.
Lead the survival of mankind
Recruit others to your cause and grow your army. Mix and match the composition of your troops to fit your preferred battle tactics. Use infantry units, heavy armoured military vehicles, plasma cannon technology, drones and other flying units and even human skirmishers to achieve victory.
Use the battlefield to your advantage! Physics-based building demolition lets you generate a realistic set of tactical consequences, especially in urban areas.
Multiplayer Mayhem: Skirmish and Online Battles
The excitement amplifies in skirmish and multiplayer modes, where you can play as three distinct factions: Founders, Movement, and Legion.
Engage in epic battles across vast strategic landscapes, testing your skills and military expertise. Every decision matters, impacting alliances, missions, and the overall survival of mankind.
Challenge your skills in skirmish and online multiplayer matches, facing off against AI or real-life human opponents in intense 1v1 and 2v2 battles.

Hi everyone,
To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Slitherine, we are happy to release a new update that includes free maps for Skirmish and Multiplayer, a new time limit option for these modes, a new event and various fixes and balancing changes for Uprising,
Changelog v1.08.1158:
Slitherine Games 25th Anniversary Update
New 25 hour duration Skirmish & Multiplayer duration timer for all Domination missions in Multiplayer and Skirmish games.
Technical changes:
Network packets queue system has been reworked. Now network adapter buffer overflow shouldn't affect host's game stability. If network connection is not stable, packets will start to store in queue until they'll be sent to clients via network adapter.
Loading missions rework. This change will affect all loading mission screens but mostly multiplayer loading mission screen. After the rework you'll be able to see others players loading progress while loading into multiplayer mission. It should help with low speed connection issues that caused network disconnects while loading the mission.
Skirmish/Multiplayer additions:
Added 25 hours durations for all Domination missions in Multiplayer and Skirmishes.
Added new multiplayer maps:
Space Center 1vs1/2vs2 (Domination)
Austin 1vs1/2vs2(Domination)
Destroyed Int.Camp 1vs1/2vs2 (Domination)
Pentagon Assault 2vs2(Assault)
Oklahoma Scavenger 1vs1/2vs2 (Scavenger).
Added new skirmish maps:
Space Center 1vs1/2vs2 (Domination)
Austin 1vs1/2vs2 (Domination)
Destroyed Int.Camp 1vs1/2vs2 (Domination)

Added "Marauders incoming" event to all generic sectors (2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,19,20). Marauders will have chance to come to the sector when you fight your enemy (If enemy is not Marauders or "The One Sun"). You'll need to destroy them or your sector will be plundered and lose supply income for 2 days. If you destroy them, you'll get a supply reward. This event will not be triggered if "The One Sun" appeared on the strategic map.
Added "After life" for all missions in Uprising campaign except of Sector 18. It will add some civilians actions after you win. NOTE: It will happen only after 10 minutes after victory button appeared.
Lowered "Geiger" sound volume in nuclear bombs craters in Sector 8 and Sector 9.
Changed "Time to rest" achievement conditions. Now you'll get this achievement automatically if you completed "Resistance secured" achievement.
Added founders pilots to sector rewards(Variations: 11, 14, 16 sectors).
Fixed bridge collision on Sector 7.

Hi everyone, we just released a hotfix, v1.07.1145.1
We have been listening to your feedback on a number of areas on the new Uprising DLC, from save games, game difficulty and balancing and so have an updated hotfix ready for you. This hotfix fixes some minor issues and re-balances some of the gameplay on the Uprising DLC only (not main game).
Additions to the Uprising DLC
• Time intervals between autosaves were reduced from 20 minutes to 10 minutes.
• Enemy "spawn guards" respawn was removed from all sectors due to player feedback. Spawn guards will still be presented but not in first battles on Sectors: 2,3,5,6,7.
• Balance tweaks on Sector 2,3,4,5,6,7.
• Minor localizations tweaks.
• Minor UI tweaks.
• More UI scaling fixes for 16:10, 4:3, 5:4 resolutions.
• Minor bug fixes in missions scripts for Sector 13 and Sector 14.
• English subtitles added for DLC intros and outros.
A reminder - QUICK SAVE AVAILABLE SINCE DLC RELEASE
You can enable Quick Saves (F5–F8) by selecting the Custom difficulty setting.
However, for the best experience, we recommend playing on the standard difficulty levels — Normal, Medium, Hard, or Realistic — where Quick Saves are disabled.
The campaign is carefully balanced with the intention that manual saving is not available during missions. (Don’t worry — automatic saves occur at least every 10 minutes.)
Don’t be afraid to take losses. Sometimes it’s better to skip a day, regroup, and build up resources to repair or improve your army. Study your units, learn the enemy’s capabilities, and check the skull icons beneath each sector to gauge their strength before committing to an attack.
And remember: retreat is always an option. Every enemy loss weakens their sector — even if you don’t win the battle.
Good luck out there, fighter. Humanity’s counting on you.

This DLC introduces a full sandbox-style, rogue-like campaign that puts you in command of the Resistance across 22 dynamic sectors in the post-apocalyptic United States. With no scripted paths and multiple factions acting on their own, every decision you make, every battle you win or lose, shapes the course of the war.
You’ll clash with the unpredictable Marauders, who thrive in chaos and strike when sectors are left isolated. Face off against the relentless war machine of Legion, always expanding and always hunting. Watch for the Cartel, a ruthless paramilitary force with its own agenda. Support the struggling Movement, your last true allies in this war-torn world. And deal with the enigmatic Integrators, whose advanced tech may be the key to turning the tide, if you can gain their trust.
Raid Marauder strongholds, scavenge vehicles, and recruit new troops to reinforce your army. From high-level planning on the sector map to intense tactical combat on the ground, Uprising hands you full control of the fight ahead.
