Take Command of Your Battlegroup
- The Cold War-era armed forces of six nations - aligned to NATO or Warsaw Pact - can be led into a hyper-detailed World War III: U.S., West Germany, United Kingdom, and France square off against the Soviet Union and East Germany. From conscripts and main battle tanks to mobile SAM systems, self-propelled artillery, scout helicopters, strike aircraft, and fast interceptors, each WARNO nation has its unique arsenal of vehicles, planes, and soldiers.
- More than 1000 different military units are featured, such as the mighty M1A1 Abrams, the British MCV-80 Warrior, French Gazelle scout helicopters, German Leopard tanks, Spetsnaz special forces, SU-25 Frogfoot, the East German KPz T-55AM2 or Mil Mi-24 Hind helicopter gunships. In the Armory, each unit can be inspected and compared in detail.

- Experience 5 massive turn-based strategic Army General campaigns centered on the NATO’s CENTAG and Warsaw Pact’s Central Group of Forces area of responsibility in 1989, placing you right in the heart of the war near the infamous Fulda Gap.
- The Army General campaigns let you command hundreds of units and military formations, down to the platoon level, including the U.S. 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment and 3rd Armored Division, West German 5. Panzerdivision, Soviet 79th Guards Tank Division and 27th Guards Motor Rifle Division, and the East German 7. Panzerdivision.

SMG / Carbine Rework
- Submachine guns were underperforming in the situations where they are meant to excel. This update reworks them to give SMGs a more prominent role in close-quarters combat (CQB). Overall, the MP5’s effectiveness was used as a benchmark.
- SMGs are now divided into three categories: Old SMGs, Modern SMGs, and Carbines (with the VSS treated separately).
- Old and Modern SMGs are less affected by movement penalties, emphasizing their high mobility. Modern SMGs benefit from higher accuracy and higher outputs overall.
- Carbines got the better precision, and deliver higher damage output, but provide less suppression than modern SMGs, due to their lower mobility and more controlled rate of fire.
- The VSS achieves maximum suppression when stationary, but performs poorly while moving.
Code fixes
- Fixed the "Military Police" trait not working correctly.
- Added an error message when enabling two incompatible mods.
- Fix for a crash when saving a deck in a lobby when the host changes team settings
- In the multiplayer menu, improved the Quick Join button behavior
- Fixed animations looping on certain vehicles while reversing

- Fixed a crash in the armory when no division or unit could be displayed

- Bofors Rework: all 40mm & 57mm anti-aircraft units have been adjusted to be more authentic and effective within their respective roles. Including the representation of radar-stats and faster reload on most.

After last week’s releases, the Eugen team has pivoted to work full speed on the upcoming Nemesis #7 - State of Emergency as one of our “chosen” DLC options, pre-selected to speed up development.
With the theme being defensive battlegroups tasked with protecting the state’s vital infrastructure, stability, and “rule of law”, Nemesis #7 - State of Emergency’s NATO battlegroup was the French Zone de Défense - Paris. The Soviet offering is the DON-100 battlegroup.

With the new AMX-30 Instructor unit (coming with Nemesis #7), we have also put some work into updating and revising the existing AMX-30B/B2 tank models.

Furthermore, as promised when we announced the artillery rework, a new unit has been introduced into WARNO, the VAB RATAC. However, the model was not ready, meaning we featured the old VAB RASIT as a placeholder. This is no longer the case, as we finally got our hands on a new, dedicated model!

And, we have also modeled the new British FV436 CYMBELINE counter-battery radar unit. This one has just been added to the in-game British 2nd Infantry Division.

Artillery Rework
- For more details : Click Here for the DevBlog
- Artillery now has a 10s setup delay before firing and a 25s pack-up time after firing. Mortars have a reduced pack-up time of 15s.
- Artillery trajectories have been simplified and range as been standardized, changing the behavior of all artillery units. Minimum range has also been increased to avoid unnatural trajectory curves.
- Range standardized:
- Mortars : 3.5km / 5km / 6km / 8km / 18km (M240)
- Howitzer : 10 km / 12.5km / 15km / 17.5km / 20km / 25km / 30km / 35km / 40km
- MLRS : 3.5km / 6km / 8km / 10km / 15km / 20km / 30km / 50km
- Mortars now deal slightly more damage, with a larger splash radius and suppression radius.
- Howitzers now have slightly reduced direct damage, but improved splash and suppression areas. Splash has been increased more for 105/122 mm guns, and the time between shots has been reduced to 5s, down from 6s.
- Heavy MLRS (230 mm, 300 mm, etc.) now fire faster, with the interval between shots reduced from 2s to 1.5s.
- Napalm damage has been adjusted: very effective against light armor, less effective against medium armor, and minimal against heavy armor.
New features
- New mechanics: Counter-Battery Radar,
- New units added in that tole: SNAR-10 & VAB RATAC + existing GREEN ARCHER re-roled as such.
Code fixes
- Fixed an issue in the multiplayer profile where divisions with overly long names could prevent the number of games from being displayed
- Fixed an issue where towed artillery could sometimes get stuck when loading into their transports
- Fixed an issue on several maps where units were not correctly using roads.
- Fixed units with the Instructor trait being able to boost each other
- Fixed the C.11 aircraft being incorrectly classified as "air defense"
- Fixed an issue where pressing "Enter" on the keyboard did not validate the number of units in a combat group.
- The napalm effects and other effects (smoke, explosions, etc.) are now clearly visible in 10v10 and no longer disappear before the effect ends.
- Improve the behavior of aircraft when diving so that they are sure to drop all their bomb
Modding
- It’s now possible to activate multiple mods at the same time, as long as they don’t modify the same part of the game.
- Fix for a crash that occurred when entering a lobby without having any deck (Autofill or creating one manually).
- Fixed a crash that occurred when an aircraft was given a Sell order as it was leaving the world (e.g. after an evac order)
- Fix a crash when using defenses in the armory
Generic
- Shock trait range increased to 350 m.
- Supply units can no longer gain veterancy.
- Unlocked vet1 for 24th ID's NG units
- Plane gatling's reload time increased 0,25 to 0,3
- Vet 0 units - Stress recovery increased from 0.6 to 0.75 per second.
- GSR / reconnaissance / jamming interactions have been reworked and fixed.
- Amphibious unit speed has been adjusted and standardized (based on off-road speed), with differences depending on unit type: wheeled, tracked, or hovercraft.

After re-exporting, you also need to move the file "CamPaths_LevelDesign.ndfbin" from the "CamPath" folder and place it directly in the root of each of your scenario folders, located in "Saved Games\\EugenSystems\\WARNO\\Scenario", otherwise they won’t be playable. - Improved system to prevent unintended changes to weapon angle values after updates.

Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank keeps the SOUTHAG theme in focus with two new battlegroups locked in combat in the southern reaches of the West German front, near the Austrian border. The DLC features the Spanish División de Infantería Mecanizada «Guzmán el Bueno» n.º 2, or Mechanised Division No.2 "Guzmán el Bueno" for NATO, and the Czechoslovakian 2. Motostřelecká Divize, or 2nd Motor Rifle Division fighting for the Warsaw Pact.

Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank keeps the SOUTHAG theme in focus with two new battlegroups locked in combat in the southern reaches of the West German front, near the Austrian border. The DLC features the Spanish División de Infantería Mecanizada «Guzmán el Bueno» n.º 2, or Mechanised Division No.2 "Guzmán el Bueno" for NATO, and the Czechoslovakian 2. Motostřelecká Divize, or 2nd Motor Rifle Division fighting for the Warsaw Pact.

You’ll get to play with an arsenal of new units, from light M47E2 tanks, GUERILLEROS commandos, and L-10D3 300mm MLRS, to POHRANIČNÍCI mountain warfare border guards, SU-7BKL ground attack aircraft, and R-330T TARAN recon vehicles.

A New Update
This Nemesis DLC will also come with a patch update, bringing a host of improvements and fixes, as well as the new XM-477 SLAMMER unit for the 101st Airborne Division. Read more about it in the DevBlog below.
