Couple of final bugfixes for the 1.1 patch. This build will be pushed to the main branch in a couple hours assuming nothing went catastrophically wrong with it.

Mewgenics Beta Branch Balance Patch Notes v1.1

Breeding/House Changes
- Fixed some issues with high amounts of negative Stimulation.
- Fixed Stimulation treating birth defects on parents the same as positive mutations. Higher stimulation now decreases the chance of birth defects on parents being inherited.
- The effects of Stimulation are now reduced the more inbred a kitten is.
- The chances of inheriting a parent's birth defect are significantly increased the more inbred the kitten is.
- "Mutation" stat will no longer reroll any existing mutations or birth defects.
- "Mutation" stat will now only roll simple mutations (+2/-1 stat ones) until >10 Mutation. More Mutation beyond this will increase the chance of rolling mutations with effects.
- Heads that have 1 eye/eyebrow/ear (ex. Cyclops) will no longer also count as the "Missing" birth defect for the other eye/eyebrow/ear.
- Chance of inheriting a voice from a parent is now 75% instead of 98%.
Events
- Baphomet: Removed bad outcomes from sacrifice and lose 10 HP options.
- Steven Fetus: Removed Deja Vu from bad event outcome and replaced with a new pool of disorders for it.
- Sacrificial Altar: Removed bad outcomes from sacrificing cats.
- Itchies or Wheezies: Itchies now also gives a forever flea familiar and Wheezies now also gives +2 LCK.
- Insatiable Rage tragedy no longer only gives Blood Frenzy.
- Infestation weather event: Units now only spawn charmed maggots when killed.
Disorders/Parasites
- Hypersomnia: fixed order Sleep applies so that passives/items affecting sleep can trigger correctly.
- Malaria: Now only reduces CON.
- Naegleria Fowleri: Become AI controlled instead of dead at 0 INT.
- Schrodinger’s Syndrome: +1 to all stats and gain an extra turn at the start of battle.
- Sociopathy: -5 CHA, +5 INT.
Cleric
- Cleanse: Is now single-target. Range increased to compensate. Upgrade changed to make it hit a large area.
- Open Wounds: Now deals magic damage.
Druid
- Plant Mushroom: -2 mana cost.
- Summon Caterpillar: -1 mana cost.
Fighter
- Merciless: No longer triggers during actions that cost movement points.
Hunter
- Ball Of Spiders: No longer scales damage with DEX.
- Egg Sac Trap: -1 mana cost.
- Flea Shot: No longer scales damage with DEX.
- Heavy shot: -2 damage, 50% miss chance, +1 mana cost.
- Hunter's Boon: Now only triggers once per turn, but triggers off of any kill and not just enemies.
- Scattershot: +3 mana cost. Upgrade no longer exempts allies from its radius.
Mage
- Mage Basic attack: +2 range.
- Blizzard: Reworked to deal very high damage with 100% Freeze (and no Slow).
- Bolt: +2 range.
- Burning Paws: +1 Burn. (upgrade +2 Burn.)
- Fire Blast: +2 range.
- Firebolt: +2 range, +1 damage.
- Five: Trigger is now exactly 5 Mana or HP.
- Forbidden Spells: Now have 2 separate disorder pools, a basic pool (90% chance) and a crippling pool (10% chance). Psychosis is in the crippling pool. Luck affects which pool is chosen.
- Forbidden Flame: Burn increased.
- Forbidden Flood: Damage increased.
- Forbidden Frost: Damage/heal increased.
- Forbidden Fulmination: Damage increased.
- Four: Trigger is now exactly 4 Mana or HP.
- Freezerburn: +1 attack radius
- Ice Paws: +2 Slow, +5% freeze chance. You can damage frozen units. (upgrade +3 Slow.)
- Icicle Zapper: +1 damage.
- Jolt: +2 range.
- Inferno: Now deals 8 damage, 8 Burn (upgrade 12 damage 10 Burn).
- Lightning Paws: +1 damage, +5% Stun chance. (upgrade +2 damage, +7% Stun chance.)
- Light up the Stage: +1 sparkle per turn. (upgrade +3 sparkles per turn)
- Long Cast: +2 range. (upgrade +5 range, +1 magic damage.)
- Overload: +2 damage. (upgrade +4 damage.)
- Shatter: -1 mana cost.
- Thunderburst: Now deals 12 damage, 50% Stun (upgrade 16 damage, 100% Stun)
- Tri-Attack: +2 range +1 damage.
Monk
- Fist of Fate+: repeat must hit different targets each time.
- Stance Switch: ai control now attempts to use this if it’s out of other actions.
Necromancer
- Evil Incarnate: -3 mana cost.
- Flesh Golem: -3 hp cost per cat to cast.
Psychic
- Shatter the Sky: -2 mana cost.
Tank
- Ass Blast: -1 mana cost, +2 Knockback.
- Clap: -1 mana cost.
Thief
- Caltrops: +1 movement. (upgrade +5 movement.)
- Nail Flurry+: Multi-hit amount is now locked in when the ability is cast instead of updating mid-ability if DEX is gained or lost.
- Poison Gas: +1 poison. (upgrade +2 poison)
Tinkerer
- Tinkerer Basic Craft/Throw: AI is slightly better at sequencing these now. (prefers to craft without wasting move first, prefers to use weapon before throwing it)
- Added "Blast Resistance" status effect. Blast resistance is added onto EMP, Mr. Mega, Napalm, and Demo Man tinkerer passives.
- Throw Weapon: no longer costs an action to use.
- Bombchu: -2 mana cost.
- Build Nuke: -2 mana cost.
- Conductor: now makes your weapon inflict electric damage if you are wearing metal.
- Electrolyze: -2 mana cost.
- EMP: +1 explosion damage. (upgrade +2 explosion damage.)
- Firecrackers: -2 mana cost.
- Lightning Rod: now grants Tech instead of Charge. Upgrade now grants Energized.
- Math!: now deals electric damage + stuns on prime numbers. Upgrade now gives you Tech on prime number instead of refunding mana.
- Mr. Mega: +1 blast radius, +2 explosion damage. (upgrade +4 explosion damage.)
- Napalm: +2 Burn. (upgrade +4 Burn.)
- Rocket Ride: -2 mana cost.
Misc
- Hitler's suicide can no longer miss. Increased the shield amount on his explosive phase.
- Added +4 HP to Führerfötuses.
- Final Boss & his Cat Clones are banned from rolling Depressing elite buff.
- Soahc's form change now ignores combat speed setting.
- Added +50 HP to The Coven and Tormentor.
- Added +50 HP to Dreadnoughtus’ head and +2 damage to its legs.
- Cursed Items and Parasites are no longer excluded from item degradation.
- Head mutation that gives you a bonus turn now has -2 speed.
- Spewer: HP nerfed to 100
- Stacy: base HP buffed to 125

- Inventory "Slot" sort order now matches the order shown above the cat.
- Jester collar will always appear at the end of the class list, even if unlocked before Monk.
- Inventory/Furniture "Alphabetical" sort lists now use locales for sorting (change needed for some future language support).
- Backpack button added to shop screens.
- The tooltip for items with active abilities now shows the ability button in the tooltip.

Gameplay Changes

Bugfixes
- All "Status Immunity" type effects now purge their relevant statuses on application to prevent an initialization order dependency where, for example, an item that makes you "poison immune" wouldn't prevent poison from a disorder (which was applied before the poison immunity item)
- Fixed "Status Immunity" type effects missing a few other ways statuses could get applied
- Hexagram Sigil's Buff Immunity now has an exception for Magic Damage Up so the item can work as written
- Fixed Flaming Fists disorder not showing its icon properly

Modding Related Changes
- Reversed the loading priority when multiple mod paths are specified. This should make the ordering more in line with how other games work. (Details: Loading priority is now {resources.gpak, loose files in same directory, modpath 0, modpath 1, modpath 2, ...} where files in later paths override files in newer paths. You can specify "." in the mod path list to change the loose file priority, though this is optional.)
- Added a settings file option "validate_pedigree_tables true" (or pass "-validate_pedigree_tables true" to steam launch options) to attempt to repair broken pedigree tables when loading a save file. Broken pedigree tables were caused by changing family tree information in one of the save file editor mods, and could result in the game freezing when ending the day.

- All Arthur levels now have 4 antidote pickups and 1 blessing
- Absorbent elite buff no longer triggers if the elite is off-map
- Itch, Lighten The Load, and Chonkwalk now do physical damage instead of HP Loss so they can trigger self-harm synergies correctly, as expected by the tooltips.
Gameplay Bugfixes
- Fixed Abandoned Ones (and similar) sometimes having their art disconnected from their position after a jump. This was an engine-level fix related to frame pacing, and may incidentally fix a bunch of other unrelated issues as well.
- Glowing Bone can no longer roll Smash. Fixed Glowing Bone (Smash) from crashing the game as well, for those who already had it.
- Fixed Ankh (and similar effects) setting health even if the cat wasn't downed
- Fixed solo-cat runs not counting as mono-class runs for the purposes of save file completion percent beyond 100 (this is retroactive).
- Fixed solo-cat runs not counting as mono-class runs for 3 special item unlocks where that was a requirement (this is not retroactive).
- Fixed crash during C-1000 fight if you let Steven take control of your cats
- Fixed NPC shop duplicating items with Alt F4 bug.
- Fixed Irradiated Object not applying several out-of-combat passive effects (such as extra level up rerolls).
- Fixed "Strength In Numbers" applying the wrong amount of damage (it was always applying 1 instead of the number displayed on the stacks)
- Fixed Thorns/Trample causing Replace to sometimes not refresh your basic attack.

- Capped the maximum amount of animation slowdown a tile can impact on a walk cycle to 10 instead of 9999
- Fixed Space Helmet blocking 100% instead of 30% as listed
- Fixed toolbox not providing brittle/fragile immunity to items without sets specified
- Fixed a crash related to Korbee sucking up a late game 3x3 miniboss
Technical Bugfixes / Changes
- Fixed 30fps frame limit with combat speed 4 causing unstable frame timing
- Gamepad now always uses an "in-game" cursor mode and no longer requires moving the device cursor position to function properly. This is mostly an internal change but should fix compatibility with some devices that disallowed moving the cursor, and be slightly more robust when switching between gamepad and mouse/trackpad controls.
- Fixed a case where the pause menu could be intercepting dpad-controls when the game wasn't paused
- Fixed some kinds of corrupted save files causing the file selection screen to crash. Now should appear as corrupted on the file selection screen giving you a chance to delete it or load a different one.
- Fixed case where a non-binary cat with dwarfism would crash the game if playing in brazilian portugese

- Gamepad now always uses an "in-game" cursor mode and no longer requires moving the device cursor position to function properly. This is mostly an internal change but should fix compatibility with some devices that disallowed moving the cursor, and be slightly more robust when switching between gamepad and mouse/trackpad controls.
- Fixed some kinds of corrupted save files causing the file selection screen to crash. Now should appear as corrupted on the file selection screen giving you a chance to delete it or load a different one.
Minor Bugfixes / Changes
- Fixed Vivian Voss's name being misspelled in the credits
- Fixed Cleric portraits flipping back and forth in the UI
- Minor art updates to Hitler II turn order portraits
- Added missing portrait for special event small bird
- Gave Gun a custom Champion appearance + portrait
- Fixed Confusion's tooltip having incorrect odds listed. (Actual odds were 33%)
- Fixed a few event art assets displaying debug text
- Fixed Initiative Down showing the incorrect tooltip

Mewgenics 1.0.20763
This patch was previously tested on the beta branch of the game and is now pushed live. These patch notes encompass 2 beta patches plus one or two extra changes today.
Important changes and major bugfixes
- Left/Right cat selection arrows in the house behavior adjusted:
Cats are no longer grouped by room when toggling left/right. Age only. Opening the cat selection window after a new day will select the youngest kitten regardless of if you clicked around on other cats before opening the window. Dead cats are always sorted at the end (clicking left from the youngest cat will wrap around to the end of the list).
If you are ZOOMED IN to a room, the cat selection list is now strictly limited to cats in that room (clicking left/right will only toggle between cats in that room, and never select any cats outside of that room)
Current list location memory should be a little bit better when moving cats to pipe/box and then continuing with arrows. Left clicking cats while the cat status window is closed will no longer effect which cat is shown when you open the cat window.
- Traps can now be triggered with physical attacks/abilities
- Added a small visual effect & alternate walk cycle for player cats with flying
- Fixed flying units not viewing fire tiles as a hazard even though it could still burn them
- Tiles adjacent to enemy rattlesnakes/hellhands now have a hazard cost for pathfinding.
- Fixed one post-game dr beanies dialog sequence getting skipped
- Captured familiars now spawn after everything else to prevent levels from instantly ending if you had 100+ charmed flies
- Fixed Freeze not protecting corpses from damage
- The "loot" option in the events after each act's final boss is now explicitly a luck roll (luck effected this a little before, now it should effect it more making it easier to judge risk here)
Minor changes and bugfixes
- Fixed cases where a main quest item could get duplicated if you had multiple quest items equipped when completing one of them or unlocking a new one
- Fixed an alley level that generated a mouse in a hole (this was a new issue caused by the spawn order change from last week's patch)
- Fixed one act 3 enemy missing from the Hallucination pool
- Fixed Dark Ritual's upgrade not working
- Fixed Fish Necklace affecting enemy flies. Fish Necklace now uses Poisonous instead of its previous (effectively the same) effect.
- Fixed Tinfoil Hat not working against permanent madness/charm. Tinfoil Hat's effect now cleanses relavent effects when it's passive is applied to prevent initialization order dependency for its effects.
- Fixed a late game boss repeatedly shooting a frozen minion in some cases.
- Fixed Stalk (and similar) ability targeting from going crazy if the tracked target goes off map
- Fixed no-target ability hotkeys from deselecting if you move the mouse around on the map
- Fixed a few enemies that transform on death from being stuck at 1hp if killed while stunned (as well as 1 or two player effects that used the same passive)
- Fixed Meow+ not being musical
- Minor fixes to shark enemy colors
- Fixed incorrect name for "Polyp" item
- Fixed an incorrect international character in Steven's font
- Fixed "Thicken"'s statuses not having icons or tooltips.
- Stalk tooltip fixed to specify "enemy" instead of "unit"
- Fixed a few tooltips having incorrect info (Pins and Needles, Old Hose)
- (Most tooltip changes are in english only for now, this won't leave the beta branch until those are in)
- (Internal change) Localization csvs have been merged into one large file instead of 20 smaller ones at the request of the localization team. This shouldn't cause any noticable changes in game, but if anything looks off let me know!
