About the Game
YOU SHOULD NOT BE HERE
Something is very wrong at Dalton’s Dinos, the once must-see Route 66 roadside attraction baking under the New Mexico sun. The staff have vanished, but a mysterious voice on the telephone you find in the attraction begs you for help to find a missing child.
You’d leave… if your car hadn’t died miles from anywhere. It’s 1992. No cell phones. No rideshares. No help coming, and you’ll soon find that you are not alone inside the attraction.
You’ll encounter monstrous creatures that will hunt, chase, and torment you. Take a moment to catch your breath, it may be your last.
RUN. CLIMB. SURVIVE.
Terrible Lizards blends horror with first‑person parkour, creating a relentless chase experience that feels intuitive to learn and has a lot to master.
You’ll be hunted by creatures that stalk the abandoned dino depot. They shamble and charge toward you, forcing you to run, jump, climb, wall run, bounce, and slide to survive. There are no weapons except your wits.
FEATURES
Horror Meets Parkour: Outrun unstoppable creatures using fluid, momentum‑driven movement.
A Mystery Buried: Explore this crumbling roadside attraction and discover the nightmares below it.
No Weapons: Outsmart and outmaneuver your pursuers, combat is not an option.
Environmental Storytelling: Collect tapes, notes, and recordings to uncover the truth behind Dalton’s Dinos.

Hey Explorers!
We're very excited to see everyone jumping into the world of Terrible Lizards. Seeing all of the fan art, let's plays, theories, etc. has been a 'raw-some' time. With all the new players though we're hearing about a few other 'Terrible' things, namely bugs.
We are still pretty early into digging into all the feedback around the release but we've tried to expedite forward a few changes we think will help with some of the more prickly issues.
Changelog

Fixed some cases where a call with Stella could lock different buttons and break progression
Fixed an issue where player's would sometimes die immediately when entering a slide

Fixed an issue where an invisible collider could be present after some boulders fall down in the second Bronto hunt
Fixed an issue where players could move while sliding during a particular cutscene, causing them to immediately fly off a cliff
Fixed an issue where not all four fuses would work in the second Allo hunt
Fixed several issues where levels may not load/unload properly

As always, thanks again, everyone, for visiting Dalton's Dinos, and we'll see you soon with more fixes!

Hey Explorers!
We've heard some of you don't care much for the color yellow, think the protagonist tends to over-explain things, and that the game can be a bit hand-holdy at times. So, we've been tinkering and cooked up a new option for disabling hints. You can find it under the Accessibility section in the Options menu. It is on by default, but with it ticked off we swap out some different pieces of the environment, change some colors, and tell Jordan to quiet down a bit. Overall, it makes the game feel a bit more immersive and makes you think a bit more about what you need to do.
That said, the game wasn't designed for that, so some things may become too challenging. Let us know what you think!
Now, we can't guarantee this option will be available on release. If you all like it, though, we'll see what we can make happen and should be able to support it later via a patch.
Alright, beyond all that, we've been digging into your bug reports and trying to resolve what we can. We've seen a number of people report crashes, especially on graphics cards with 4 GB or less of VRAM. We're trying to figure out what options there are for those. In some cases, using the DX11 launch option helps; for others, we've introduced a new 'Terrible' lighting setting that may help. Let us know if they help!
Frankly, even if you're not encountering crashes, it may be fun to revisit the attraction with the 'Terrible' lighting setting; it makes the game feel quite spooky just in time for October.
In addition, we've fixed a number of weird visual issues, controller issues, softlocks, and more. Full changelog below:
Changelog
* Introduced new 'Terrible' lighting setting
* Introduced new 'Hints' accessibility settings
* Fixed an issue where Jordan's car would be late to the party
* Fixed collisions on some objects
* Fixed some settings not responding properly to controller inputs
* Reminded some floating rocks that gravity applies to them too
* Fixed some issues around the player dying in weird ways and breaking stuff
* Fixed some spelling mistakes
* Added some missing sounds
* Fixed some crashes when watching videos
* Fixed temporarily powered doors not properly squishing players caught underneath them
Go on out, try the new 'Terrible' lighting and no hints options, and let us know what you think. Please also keep sending bug reports in our Discord; with your help, we should be able to make the full-game rollout as smooth as possible.
Thanks again, everyone, for visiting Dalton's Dinos, and we'll see you soon with more fixes!
Demo Version 0.9.45 - 09/26/26
Hey explorers!
We've got another minor update for you as we continue working through the bugs you've reported on Discord. This one is a bit smaller in scope, but we wanted to get it out there quickly for you all.
Changelog
Added graphics preset options; can toggle between low, medium, high, epic, and Steam Deck
Added support for VSync and turned it on by default. It can be turned off in the graphics menu
Fixed an issue that could prevent the audio from playing during the sizzle reel at the end of the Gameplay Demo
Tweaked some logic around mantling to resolve some animation weirdness.
Fixed an issue where some players could fall out of the projector window.
Thanks again for all the feedback and reports; we've already begun bringing some of these fixes back into the full game. The information you are providing is actively improving the experience coming at the end of next month. Please continue to report bugs as you encounter them in the #bug-reporting channel in our Discord, and we'll continue to try to work through them.
Thanks again, everyone, for visiting Dalton's Dinos, and we'll see you soon with more fixes!
Demo Version 0.9.44 - 09/25/26
Thank you for visiting Dalton's Dinos! It's been great to see everyone start playing around with the demo of the world we've been building over the last few years. Seeing everyone's feedback has been incredible, and we have been excitedly going over everyone's thoughts, theories, speed runs, and... bug reports. They've been super helpful and will positively impact both the experience of people yet to play the demo and the proper game we've got cooking.
In the first 24 hours we received... 24 bug reports via our Discord. Fitting! This release should resolve most of them, and for the rest, we've requested additional information from the reporters.
Before we get to the changelog, though, a quick note: some of the content creators who made videos about the demo actually got advance copies. As such, this changelog wouldn't list fixes for the bugs they encountered, but they should be fixed nonetheless.
So, without further ado...
