My Winter Car

My Winter Car is the long-awaited sequel to Amistech's cult-classic My Summer Car — a permadeath survival sim disguised as a 1990s Finnish project-car simulator. The premise is simple: you have an old project car, you have a garage, you have a basket of disassembled engine parts, and you have to figure out how all of it goes back together if you want to drive anywhere. The original was famous for being completely unforgiving; the winter sequel doubles down on the punishment by adding hypothermia, ice physics, and a whole new set of cold-weather mechanical failures.

Almost 200 unique parts assemble into a working vehicle if you do it right. You can pursue rally racing, circuit racing, restoration-and-historical-registration, or just lean into the tuning and turn out something genuinely uncool but yours. The simulation depth is famously brutal — engine overheating, oil starvation, mistuned timing all kill cars permanently.
