About the Game
Stickman Trenches is a challenging Real Time Strategy game in which you need to manage your men and weapons and build up your defenses in the brutal trenches of Stick World War 1. Balance focusing on attack and defense. Build up your army using numerous infantry types and powerful war machines like tanks, while also upgrading your trenchworks to better defend your men and protect your base. Remember soldier, if your base gets taken you lose. So charge across no-mans land and take the enemy's base first!
Game Content
- Take the fight to the enemy in Single Battle Mode and learn to fight in the trenches, then try to survive against countless enemy waves in Endless Survival
- Use powerful abilities like calling in precision mortars or devastate the enemy with artillery bombardment
- Upgrade your trenches defensive abilities to better survive incoming wave attacks and give your soldiers better cover
- Equip your soldiers with WW1 era weaponry ranging from rifles, trench sweeping shotguns, snipers, flamethrowers, fully automatic machine guns and more

We've integrated Steam Cloud into Stickman Trenches! That's right, as we roll out new maps and new content, you'll have to unlock them as you go. Play maps on Easy and Normal to unlock Hard and Brutal Mode. Each mode earns stars you can use to unlock the next map. Standby for future updates where this functionality will grow into new units and tech!

- Added a glowing outline to the UI for cards that you haven't chosen yet, to make them easier to notice.

- Changed the flamethrower unit bug where they could fire outside of the HQ base's range.

We at Big Play have been thoroughly going through the discussion boards and the Steam Reviews to find the issues, both big and small, that we can change. Changing them as fast as possible to make sure that everyone is able to play and enjoy Stickman Trenches. Here are the patch notes:
Bug Fixes, Screen Resolution Support, and Other
One of the issues we had at launch was we didn't have support for multiple screen resolutions. As of patch v1.0.2 we've rectified that and given support to screens of all sizes. In update v1.0.1 that we dropped last night we also addressed UI scaling as some players experienced issues on ultrawide monitors. Together with these two patches that we've updated in the last 36 hours since launch we hope that solves the majority of the issues our players have had with screen resolutions and the UI. If anyone has any more issues please reach out to us in the bugs/issues thread in Discussions at our Steam Community section, and we'll endeavor to promptly fix it.
As discussed in yesterday's v1.0.1 patch notes, we'll have more information coming to you soon. Including our roadmap plans for support and continued content updates in the near future. We'll also be dropping another patch update very soon, hopefully even today, to put in a guide and fix some more bugs and issues that players are having.
We've got a grand strategy and plan that we'd like to stick to, so stay frosty and we'll see you in the trenches.

- Disabled the Weather Effects by default, can be turned off/on in the settings

Thank you all for being a part of the launch of Stickman Trenches. We messed up and ended up making some of the difficulty levels too hard, especially for new players and people unfamiliar with this type of game. We're sorry, and we wanted to fix that as soon as we could. We've been reading through the feedback in the discussion threads and on the reviews. Thank you for the feedback.

We've still got more things to fix, and after that we're so excited to share you with our favorite part of developing this game...things that we get to ADD. We'll be sharing a road map for the near future soon. A big part of this update was making the game more approachable for newer players, but for the veterans of the trenches out there who want even more challenge we'll be adding Brutal difficulty. We also are wanting to balance, fix, and optimize endless mode so that it's a fulfilling experience. We're getting reports that many of you are getting past wave 100 and many with ease. We want that to be a fulfilling challenge and accomplishment for players and make endless even more fun.
There are far more exciting things on the horizon for Stickman Trenches, so thanks for Stick-ing with us.

We've got a lot of work ahead of us but we're listening. And to show that here are some post-day-launch fixes and updates:
Bug Fixes, UI Changes, and Other
- Fixed some bugs
- Removed "Shellshock" camera shake from lower difficulties
- UI scaling for super wide monitor resolutions (please share any further issues on our bugs discussion)
- Fixed some spelling errors and typos
- Changed the UI symbol where troops skip the trench (by double clicking the attack arrow) from red, to green to indicate they'll GO to the next trench
- Added an in game button linking to a Tutorial on YouTube to help out new players (see below)
AI, Artillery and Game Difficulty Level
- Easy Difficulty: Easy didn't feel all that easy for many new players. And that isn't good. So we made it more approachable. The player will start out with more resources and have more time to build up their army. Enemy AI won't hit you immediately with tanks or artillery giving you the time you need to learn to play the game.
- Artillery: Artillery was absolutely brutal in World War 1 and we overdid it here, especially on the lower difficulties. So we've put in a fix that should make artillery less frequent and devastating, especially on the lower difficulty levels. Many players felt that AI artillery just felt overtuned or too powerful. We've adjusted it favorably on Easy and Normal difficulty, while leaving it challenging on Hard.
- Difficulty Levels: As discussed above we've made Easy difficulty more approachable for new players, Normal difficulty more fun and less punishing and kept Hard well, hard!
We've still got more things to fix, and after that we're so excited to share you with our favorite part of developing this game...things that we get to ADD.
